Depending on how big you get you can make a decent amount to put away and retire by the time you devolve into obscurity.

Most people if they get big enough branch out and try to find other forms of revenue because they know it can't last forever.

To my knowledge these guys have a sub service where you get their videos a few days early, and that is going to pay for an office space so they aren't just making videos in their houses. From there it's a crapshoot if they would want to go fully sub based, or just ride out this gravy train as long as they can.
