So, I've recently been playing Monster Hunter Online, and when you lag in that game, it's so bad shit.
How laggy is it?
I have only experienced a small amount of lag. Most of the servers that are up have pretty low ping for me (US east coast). If you're in Australia or something then it might suck.

Wasn't sure how bad it would be since this is a Russian game, yeah? My experience with playing on servers outside of the US haven't been great so far.

The game was released for Russian markets. This version is an English translation with some other patches. It doesn't use the official servers (which have been shut down).
There's a fan operated master server and a number of fan run private servers up.
You don't even need to install. Just unpack the .zip and run Dewritoupdater. You only need the patch I linked if you experience extreme bloom.
Navigate the main menu with arrow keys + enter.

i tried but the top[padding for the shield bar and ammo is to low making the cross-hair no be on the center of the screen, and not every vehicle feels like its halo, the mongoose does to some extent but the ghost is fucked.
How populated is it?
You can change the crosshair centering in the ingame options menu. There's also options for vehicle control sensitivity. I might be imagining things, but it does seem like the vehicles are slightly slower.
Several hundred people on at any given time. Enough for a bunch of full servers and some half full ones. Almost all the servers are set up to change up the map and game type at the end of each game. You can typically vote for the next game.

Supposedly they shut things down so they could improve the game and re-release it. We'll see if that ever happens in the future though.

Don't forget the patch if you've got an intel chip. If it runs, then chances are it's going to have EXTREME BLOOM. The patch should fix it.
