They can easily tack on JP voices though. It's not like there were extra lines in the EN version that would need to be re-recorded. It would basically be pointless fluff however, since anyone with their head screwed on straight knows that the English dub is superior in every way.

MMO style gameplay that ranges from mediocre to good. A nice story. Good exploration. Mediocre to great OST with an emphasis on tying into the atmosphere of an area.

Great sidequests. Sometimes a bit grindy if you don't stick solely to the main story. Arcadia fucking sucks.

Also be careful what chests you open or you'll get locked out one of the most powerful weapons in the game (unless you have the autism to farm a chest late-game for it)

The setting is great and the story has a political slant that just tickles the fancy of some people a lot.

Plus, besides Penelo, the cast are all fairly interesting. And even then Penelo is at least likeable

Has politics and treachery. Has magical being bullshit but even that has it's own politics and treachery (Venat) and gets woven in with Arcadian politics really well.

Vaan and Penelo get a lot of criticism, and rightfully so, when Basch was going to be the main character (IIRC). Generally the story was more mature and people liked it. The dialogue is really cool too.

Holy fucking shit guys, what am I going to do now? I'm literally going to have to get a fucking PS4 for a remake since this is by far the best final fantasy ever (I've put about 800 hours into the original).

I can't believe they actually did it. I was hoping they would, but I lost faith recently and now here it fucking is.

I am fucking torn, do I really get a PS4 literally for a fucking remake though or do I wait for the INEVITABLE PC release which could be a year down the road, or could be a mere few months.

If this was on the Vita I would have actually had to admit it has 1 good game, but alas, the Vita is dead and shit.

JP site does say improved quality for audio so hopefully.

Played a good amount of XII and not once did I think it clicked with me, it felt so slow and was only worth playing at 2x the speed due to emulation hacks. I didn't play the IZ version though so that might be some reason why, but I tend to love "singleplayer MMOs" but had such little fun.

The Vita and PS3 likely could not handle it without either such a severe downgrade that it'd be a lie to call it a remaster or running at 5fps with the regular settings.

They are doing the same shit excuse that they are using the new engines on the game. Maybe even tessellation from how the Balthier armour looks like. Fuck them, really, it would have been the reason to buy a Vita for quite a lot of people.

Calling bullshit there, if it cannot be done it's because they are doing a remaster with new engines, and solely because of that. MGS3 ran fine on both consoles, and that one was comparable to FFXII in terms of "how the fuck did they do that in PS2"

They know just about everyone who actually, ACTUALLY fucking went and bought a Vita is a certified sonyfag and is guaranteed to have a PS4 as well, so no need to spend more money on porting it because it just cuts into the profit on the other product anyway.

The party info UI does look a bit wonky compared to the original, though I imagine it will go through some changes between now and release.
