I don't fucking know, never played it, don't care about it

So?Mod them up with some heavy graphical mods if you want your fan to be working overtime.

>if you enjoy the last of us you should have stuck with your consoles tbqh

how the fuck does that even work?

If you want to experience PC gaming then play Baldurs Gate, Tie Fighter, Sins of a Solar Empire,

there's barely any games like TLoU on PC, and TLOU is overhyped and -rated garbage.

Half-Life series.

Half life 2 is easier to digest for a first-timer, but there's Black Mesa if you want an alternative to HL1 (Although then you miss out on Xen, Op4 and Blue Shit)

Some say Black Mesa isn't a good reflection of the classic gameplay, but I digress.

BM is shit, and unfinished.

There's no reason to skip HL1 and play in release order. I've seen plenty of first-timers start from the beginning in past couple years.

90% of these games are pre 2005

Just shows that pc gaming is dead if you aren't into CS:GO or ARTS

90% of ALL good games ever created are pre-2005, user.

After that started the literal casual-cancer age that's still going.

planescape torment
neverwinter nights
baldurs gate

Honestly, E.Y.E is not that great. Outside that couldn't find a single bad or even mediocre game. Anyone who made that list did a good job.

Hmm you are right user

how does that list not have Deus Ex?

>All these games from like 20 years ago
>Master race
oh i am laffin

the last of us is a quintessential console game. if that's what type of game you enjoy there's not much point in buying a PC

>linear, scripted, generic games r bad and shud stay on consuls LOL

>proceeds to recommend linear, scripted games like Half Life 1&2, FEAR, Max Payne 1&2, Portal 1&2

Cucks are funny.

>Witcher 1 not 2
>Fallout 2 not NV
>No Warband

Op, look out for bannerlord at e3. Also, for new releases look into total warhammer

>instead of a list of games like the one you like here's a bunch of 90s games
you make me ashamed to be a pc gamer

>he fell for the masterrace meme

>>Witcher 1 not 2
You read that correct. TW1 is the only good game in the series.

>FO2 not NV
same here. 3D FOs all suck, and NV is just brown.

>Warband
the what?

90s games were objectively and subjectively superior. Don't even try to deny this.

witcher 3 and the add-ons.
best games of the past years.

Modded the witcher 3 sounds like the game you are looking for, if you omit the the last of us part. Why would you ever play another game like that.

90s games where better in the 90s than 2000s games are in the 2000s but if you try to play them now they're mostly simple dated and ugly

I'm not seeing New Vegas on there
NV with ENB is so good looking it looks way better than anything being released today
plus Fallout: The Frontier is coming out sooner or later

Both latest Tomb Raiders are worth playing.

>list of 90s games
What?

>but if you try to play them now they're mostly simple dated and ugly
Most of the 90s games I have played recently (I didn't own PC before mid 00s) have been way more complex, deep and atmospheric than most of the shit released in the past few years. System Shock 2 blew my mind, DooM (the original) was a huge surprise for someone expecting a linear and grey shooter, and don't get me even started with Fallout 2 and it's seemingly endless opportunities and choices.

Compared to their prettier "sequels" I'd played already much earlier (BS, FO3, any modern FPS game...) their variety and depth of gameplay was simply world shaking. Sure I still love my Zeldas and Silent Hills, but I never realized how much I'd missed.

>he doesn't use camera mods

>I'm not seeing New Vegas on there
I think that this list is one game per franchise.
At least that is what i see.

>Most of the 90s games I have played recently (I didn't own PC before mid 00s) have been way more complex, deep and atmospheric than most of the shit released in the past few years.

I agree absolutely. I have been playing a lot of older stuff lately and it's been masterpiece after masterpiece.

>System Shock 2 blew my mind

This so fucking much. I played it for the first time just a couple months back and holy shit it completely fucking blew my mind. I can only imagine playing this thing on release.

Older games are WAY more complex and well done. The biggest difference between games now and then is that they were made out of sheer passion back then, you can tell a lot of love and attention to detail went into their production, whereas nowadays it's just a bunch of vultures in a suit trying to find ways to nickel and dime the ever living fuck out of you with lies out the ass, overwhelming deception and a clear focus on presentation rather than actual substance.

I guess it feels different if you didnt play them when they came out

It's funny and sad that what was considered a normal game then is a masterpiece now
SS2 had shit graphics even when it came out

Denuvo means zero modding in the future.

>what was considered a normal game then is a masterpiece now

Because, just like I said, having higher quality for being made out of passion was the standard back then. Being a masterpiece is a relative concept. Sure it might have been a normal game back then but when compared to the automated depthless heaps of trash of today, it might as well be the second coming of christ.

he says while his most hyped PS4 games are FFXII and FF7

Not like any Denuvo games are worth playing.

no it doesnt, you can encrypt the exe file and leave the resources completely open for modding just like any other game
it's up to the devs

>something similar to Last of Us maybe.
Why did you even buy a PC

>I can only imagine playing this thing on release.
Fun thing is, it probably felt pretty basic back in the days. I've already seen some SS1 fans bash 2 for being so "streamlined" and "actiony", if that's any kind of evidence for the claim.

This seems to support my idea.

It's also funny that people bash SS2's visuals, when I found them to fit the game just well. Those blocky models and corridors go well with the mechanical themes and style of the game. What really impressed me was the audio work though; everything sounds just right, and feels like they have mass.

Going a bit further back in history, I don't understand how people can say that games like Doom would look "ugly" now. The art-direction is just superb, with every texture demonstrating that the artist knew his stuff (including the color theory), and the sheer amount of bright, clean colors is something you seldom see nowadays in games (especially in gory, mature titles). But even then, the game managed to spook me a bit, especially in the 2nd episode's maps.

XCOM2 nigga

you don't know m&b warband?
wtf are you here?

>It's also funny that people bash SS2's visuals
they were extremely low fidelity even for the time, you're just looking at them through rose-tinted glasses because you're playing an old game and expect low fidelity
Doom has good artwork though, especially the monsters which is one of the reasons it still holds up today

Yes, XCOM2 was made for niggers.Unfortunately i am white.

This
Witcher 3 is the only reason for muh graphics. It's the only new game that's not a bad sequel to an older game

Sup Forums will never admit a good game can be made today.

warhammer has denuvo and has mod support

The Witcher 3 is good and it is pretty new.
XCOM2 is pretty new but is not a good game at all.

Why do you think XCOM 2 is not a good game at all?
