Blunder of the year
To think people paid $80 for this.
Blunder of the year
To think people paid $80 for this.
I did and I have over 600 hours on it. Oh boy, sure wasted my money there!
fucking idiots, I swear....
Wow you got rused hard by Ubisoft
I bought it day one for 60 buckaroos, and it's the only game I have had trouble putting down.
Literally the only game worth playing on next gen so far.
Into buying one of the best tactical shooters of this gen and last gen.
Woe is me...
160 hours clocked in
The game is pretty fucking good
Like, real good. Nobody ever thought it would be this good, not even Ubisoft, i'm sure of it
It sucks even worse if you're an Australian, It takes anywhere from 5-20 minutes to find a ranked match even on Friday and Saturday nights.
And when you do find one, It's just a bunch of losers hacking.
>To think people paid $80 for this.
>every siege owner paid 80$
When will this meme end for ANY game?
I paid literally nothing cuz i got it gifted and get my operators free seeing it's easy as fuck by simply playing the game and there are sales too
Besides taht i bet a shit ton bought it via keystores or on sale too
Season Pass scum needs to commit tho
Uhm. It's not the game's fault you were born austrian. At least you had your DSP moment of the day.
So what I've gathered from this is... OP lives in either the ghetto, living on food stamps or just lives in a poor house
Now that there's more players, I've considered getting the full version during the summer sale.
I'm not OP, but you ain't lying about
>ghetto
>poor house
Doesn't that give you only four characters and you have to grind a shitload for the rest of them?
I figure at that point you might as well just buy the full version, because it'll take you fucking forever just to access all the content.
As a console player since day one, I'm thinking about buying it in the starter edition on PC simply because I only use two or three operators per side anyway when I play with my team.
And, if I convince them to all play on PC as well, we'd probably just take the characters we already take when we play together.
Rook/Castle/Jager
Thermite/Thatcher/Fuze
Not saying I don't play with the other characters quite a bit as well, those are just who I usually cling to when I'm in ranked.
>Sup Forums shits on it continuously
>few people with the game say it's surprisingly good even with technical flaws
It's got a small playerbase but at least it's at a consistent level, which is a better barometer of it's quality than the division which sold tons but is now dead.
hey, if I was rich, i'd be wasting my time in a golf club
this
...
holy fucking shills
go away
Why are so many people who play this just insufferable cunts? I swear it has a saltier community than even CS:GO.
CS:GO sucks dick
t. former CS player. (1.5-S)
Rainbow Six Siege is a better game than GO by a landslide
t. former CS player. (1.5-S)
>TFW Squad is the best fps ever made
>TFW barely 600 people at peak
If you've played CS that long, no one should listen to anything you have to say
What the fuck does that have to do with the behavior of the people who play either game
>take a free mod with more content
>make a £30 game out of it with less
jee i wonder why
> Thread is made hating on game
> "Nah, we actually like the game"
> "Y-You're all shills! C-cause i don't like it."
Pro Tip: Protect your butt from butt hurt.
(also git gud) ^3^
>still no vehicles
>40 USD
I hope squad doesn't fail, but on the other hand I kind of hope it does because no vehicles after like a year or whatever
Does anybody have the starter edition in-game pricing for operators?
In the regular game they're 2000 renown max for the base ones, 25000 each for the DLC operators without a season pass.
Put down 22 quid a day before starter edition was released.
Spent 3 days figuring out how to stop the game from crashing making it unplayable, thanks to shitty ubisoft quality.
Now it works and honestly it was all well worth it.
Best ubisoft game in a decade and a damn great hardcore MP shooter. Good visuals, amazing sound engine, fun destruction not as eyecandy but as gameplay mechanic, tactics, teamwork, planning, slow paced gameplay with fast paced firefights and the feeling of survival horror when you clutch
Perfect, I looking to pick it up on PC for cheap after putting 100+ hours on xbone.
I think I read it's 12500 for each operator beyond the intial ones given. DLC might still be 25000, or maybe they match.
CSS and 1.5 are both shit though user.
Just leave it to idle on terrorist hunt hostage defence and you can have money easily.
There's a link on the steam page. Says 15 hours of play time to unlock one operator. I guess if the game is fun that shouldn't be an issue.
I just find there isn't enough to keep me hooked
the gamemodes basically all play the same
the matches basically all play the same
outside of skills all the operators basically play the same
the level design is boring and uncreative
too single location centric, 90% of the tiny ass maps goes unused per round
not him...but source was the worst fucking abomination ever.
But 1.5 was brilliant. So fuck you.
that is correct, but you get 2 of the original operators for free out of a pool (it's random) and 600 RS to buy 2 other operators
oh whoops I have my versions messed up
Meant 1.6
Obviously you haven't played enough.
on a regular match atleast 50% of the maps get used because unlike in lv1 scrub matches where everyone barricades themselves into a closet and everyone rappells in through the windows and it's a cointoss who shoots faster, actual play defenders fortify the room and use all the adjacent rooms to objective room ,you have roamers running around entire maps for a safespace and then coming back around for hit and run and attackers approach from multible directions often enter from opposite side to catch roamers and enter simultaneously from both sides of room or from floor above
If the game is not for you it's fine, 90% of games are like that, but don't say lies on anonymous karelian dog breeding forum
It's a lot less than that if you aren't shit, I got about 1/3 of the way there in about an hour
It is a fun game, but nowhere near 80bucks fun.
>the gamemodes basically all play the same
>level design is boring and uncreative
Nigga.. It's like you don't even understand how to play or something.
Hostage is about the only one where you absolutely need to keep a close eye on the actual objective room.
One of the worst FPS I've ever played.
Literally peak advantage: the game, even after they increased the tick rate and tweaked the netcode.
Suppose that's what happens when you use a netcode package designed for co-op games as the base.
Joke's on you, Siege is a flawed work of art
Yeah, even without boost I get around 300-400 per match if I play good and get MVP, which usually happens when I have just woken up in the morning.
Matches are quite short as well emaning you can cram about 4 of them into an hour
>played in the beta a long time ago
>had a lot of fun, never bought it
>starter edition comes out
>"fuck it"
>play a few matches, one of them this guy TK'd me and this other guy and got kicked at the start of the game
>another this 14 year old fag is bragging about how good he is at Sledge and I just tell him "cool story" then he kills me
>then I realize it takes 15 HOURS to unlock one character and there are like 20 of them
>refund that shit, only one hour played
not to mention the hit detection or any other bullshit, just avoid this game at all costs
Yes the peekers advantage is huge and netcode is shit and game is buggy and prone to crashing
But the game underneath is absolutely brilliant with all the flaws. The better you get the more gameplay there is
>he wasted 600 hours of his life on a shitty game and even paid money for it
>Literally peak advantage: the game
This happens in literally every FPS though
>he says this then logs back onto League to play with his 200$ of skins
>20 hours to unlock one character
>You get renown for watching 3 videos
>You get renown for simple single player missions
>ignoring above and doing multiplayer only you get enough renown for 1 character in a handful of games
Yeah netcode could be much better but it's honestly not unplayable
>peak
Tell me why should I listen to the opinion of someone who doesn't know the difference between peek and peak.
Pretty fun game.
Only problem is that there are some hit detection issues, bugs, and A FUCK TON of cheaters. FairFight is a joke.
Oh, and now they're pushing a shitty cosmetic item system that's absurdly overpriced.
Starter edition seems like a bad thing to start on, imho.
I like it as a veteran of the game on console to jump right in on PC and unlock the few operators I already know how to use, and enjoy.
But, if I was playing for the first time, I would've wished I bought the regular version.
t. Overwatch and Final Fantasy player
>He fell for the PC meme
Yeah it literally takes about 5 hours to get 2 operators.
If you get MVP (which is incredibly easy, you just need to ptfo), you can get an operator in under 2 hours.
cosmetics are a hindrance
>he fell for the console meme
I've played 30 hours.
Have met 1 cheater.
Everyone else suspicious was just communicating well.
Most claims of hax are due to matchmaking sometimes paring you up with literal teams of gregors pubstomping and the enlightement of high level play feels like hax.
That happens in every game tho
>responding to shit with "cool story"
He was completely justified in TK'ing you.
>No cheaters
>Controller doesn't aid peekers advantage as bad as PC
>I don't have to use uPlay
>using a controller for fps
Literal cuck
Haven't run into any cheaters in Siege, but other games it's easy to see who is cheating because they snap at ridiculous angles to shoot you. Haven't seen anything in Siege, but I assume most cheaters would just use wallhacks since knowing where the opponent is and where they're facing is so important and it's easier to not get caught.
...
I thought it was stillborn? 60 dollars on release, a fucking month later you can get retail copy by 4.99
not a huge playerbase, but it's retained its players better than most flavor of the week games
Kek that guy was so bad. If he took a second to aim instead of some back and forth scarface action he would have probably 2 shot that fuck.
>Blunder of the year
You sound autistic as fuck you basementdweller you.
Look at battleborn if you want to see plunder and a shit game.
Siege is vastly underrated MP game
>800x2 renown
>5 hours
Not for a fresh start.
You can have your first operator easily within an hour if you watch the tutorials since they give 200 each
Stick your mouse up your ass
Got decent sales in the west and actually got some sales in the east. I'm actually shocked that the Japs like Siege.
>the renown boost for season pass owners is 5%
Kek thanks for the laugh.
But yes Siege is still better on the consoles.
Situations give good money as well
>get game
>don't know what the hell it is so do situations on realistic cause I'm a sucker for that
>4 hours later all done, all stars completed
>mfw 10k bux
Sure, if you like your max skill ceiling to be about average PC player tier. Just watching the esport cancer console footage vs pc footage is night and day.
>800 renown
Are you counting weapon parts or something because the first operator of any group is 500 renown and then it goes up for any operator in the same unit.
I thought fps's were better on the consoles as well but then I tried them on PC and they're not even comparable
It's like going from cod to quake 3 esl
Best part is no aim assist since the game knows you're not a babby who needs help with the most core element of the game
>playing siege on console
kys
Bought the starter pack few days ago and having fun with it, already got 6 operators.
>mfw realising it's the same genre as overwatch and battleborn
with weapon parts it's
>250 for suppressor plus 150-250 for sight for defenders + grip
>250 for sight 50 for grip and 70 for muzzle device for attackers + 250 for pistol suppressor
>kys
go back to the facebook
>willingly installing uplay to play with hackers
Figuratively cucked
>controller doesn't give you precision
>have to have aim assist to make it even usable
>PAYING for online services
What? MP shooter? Yes.
Glad newfriends are enjoying siege, visit the general, for some reason it's one of the best communities on Sup Forums
Can you imagine what that poor aim assist was thinking?
> No user
> Stop
> Just let me do my job
> Please.
>suppressor
no thank you
I paid nothing for it, it came bundled with my new CPU.
>anti-cheat only temp bans blatant aimbotters
No thanks senpai
In either case this particular conversation started about the new edition, in which an operator costs 12k.
maybe because they actually play the game
Siege is good enough to make dealing with uplay tolerable.
But I doub't it be good enough to make controllers tolerable.
I've had a guy once with a controller on pc version cause his mouse broke.
Holy fuck he was the most useless player but we kept him anyway because watching him was fucking hilarious.
>tactical FPS
>console
I just played it on my little brother's PS4 to see what the difference is and it's fucking horrible.
Just watching a guy take 20 seconds to shoot out a camera because of how badly suited a controller is, especially when you remove aim assist.
Yeah that's probably the dumbest shit I've ever heard
It's a fantastically useful tool
>defend and roam, with suppressor enemies can't often hear you. Even if they're next to their teammate you just killed
>on pistol when attacking, can shoot out gadgets and cameras and defenders won't be able to pinpoint your location
If you don't roam on defence I understand, but as an attacker, there's no reason not to have it on your secondary since it'll only be used for gadget removal/execution anyway
I bought with 33% off.
You're right the Starter Edition is a fucking retarded purchase but you're obviously referring to the full game and no the edition.
2/10 had me type
>it's a "let's hate Ubisoft blindly" episode
1/10 had me reply
this desu senpai
playing a shooter with a controller is like trying to dig a hole with a spoon
you can do it if you're deadset on it but it isn't the best tool for the job
Ubisoft deserves any and all blind hate but siege is a truly spetacular game.
Shame it belongs to ubisoft tho.
yeah I usually throw a suppressor on my pistol
I play this religiously on console because all my friends are on console but they are unreliable at best. I want to get it on PC and play it right but at the same time I feel like I would just bring the team down because I am not used to PC gaming as, as I stated, my friends have always been console people. That price tag makes it very tempting though.
How bad is the hacking problem?
