San andreas flying was fun as fuck.

Stop posting on Sup Forums, DSP. Especially with your parents being there.

Would you believe me if I told you flying was easier with the keyboard than XBOX or PS2 controller?

>can fly only using the keyboard and no joystick

I want to play the pc game so bad but no one to play dayz with or life.

>be me
>didn't realise you had to retract the landing gear
>desperately try to get high enough over and over
>literally impossible

im getting round that part in my playthrough right now!
it was a great control for the time, but coming off of V to play SA again, it fucked with me a lot.

Sup DSP?

>just fly through the circles, man, it works for me!

JUST FLY MY SHIT UP

...

Am I the only one who really likes these kinds of mechanics in games?

Shit was great in Jak and Daxter.

Man I kinda understand the first one, but this one is a fucking scripted sequence how fucking casual do you have to be in order to have problems with this?

Literally impossible

Why do people bitch about this mission? Shit was easy as fuck

>driving a toy plane is harder than a real one

Vice City one was harder

This. Same with the toy helicopter in Vice City. I did it when I was 8 or 9 on PC in a few tries.

Red Baron mission was legit bugged on the first release of the game, it consumed fuel at an abnormal rate.

git gud

Did you guys seriously have trouble with this?
I didn't even come close to needing a second try on any of the flying missions.
Is it harder with a controller than a keyboard+mouse?

If you play on PC with unlocked frame rate the plane goes faster and it's literally impossible to catch up to it.

delete this

>>be me
fuck you

>tfw you realize GTA is an empty sandbox full of minigames

git gud, it only took me a few tries to plan out a route.
Thank god the gun autoaims on that plane, you can just land on the street near the vans and just fire away.

>be you
>get mad online

Flying in SA was impossible to do on a kb for me, so I just kept a controller plugged in while I played and switched to it whenever I needed to fly.

>le all you had to do was follow the train
Stop hugging the train so Smoke can actually fucking shoot the guys on top of it. The bullets travel in a straight line.
>le learn to fly is hard
Stop pitching/rolling the plane and use your rudders to turn instead. Planes are not cars.

I don't understand these memes. Are you all really this bad at video games?

>Planes are not cars
>tell Sup Forumsermin to rudder steer like a car

??????

Git gud, faggot.

>riding next to the train
There's your mistake. Land the bike on the train's roof instead.

>not shooting the train's driver

Can't do that without cheating.

Just played through the flying training missions earlier today, just as fun as i remembered it.

Is that a ridiculous thing? If I had to park a toy car into a tight space, it would probably be harder than if I had to park an actual car.

Flying a plane is easy. Helicopter is a bitch, especially when you are required to do precise work like shooting targets or picking up that truck for the casino heist.

Pretty much every open world game

only flying low during the early missions for him sucked.

that and trying to get gold flight school. i actually had the hardest amount of time with that attack helicopter training mission where we had to blow up the moving cars with laser accuracy very quickly.

I did the hydra mission without knowing you change it to flight mode

>"fly low to stay under the radar"
>trees everywhere in your path

You sure?

wouldn't be so fucking annoying if going that fast on the ps2 didnt make the pop-in problems the absolute worst.

Never tried that desu fampai.

Yeah, it was pretty easy once I realized I could save a ton of fuel by just landing the thing and coasting on the ground slightly to make sure it was facing the vans. It helped that they were usually caught at red lights whenever I approached them.

>Realized you could jump on the train and kill the Vagos yourself instead of relying on Smoke's shooting in 2016

A sandbox is useless if the environments aren't somewhat destructible. Nothing you do in GTA has any real impact on the environment.

Shooting civilians gets old really damn quickly, because the only result is that you'll get tailed by police.

The most fun sandbox games are ones where you can mess around with the physics and alter the environment. GTA has none of that obviously.

Did anyone really had problems with flying in SA?
I was playing with the keyboard and I had absolutely no trouble neither with flying school nor with the toy plane mission.
Is it one of those purposely exaggerated things like the follow the train mission?

I seriously doubt you've evene played san andreas, or any game for that matter.

It's just casuals memeing. What are some actually hard SA missions? Anything tougher than gang wars?

Driving school for me. The game just wouldn't register shit sometimes.
Especially the one where you have to do 5 laps.

>the driving school

Forgot to upload my pic.

its stupid how in san andreas you go from street thug to flying jets. should have kept it realistic imo

...

Same, until I realized how fucking retarded I was

what is the ocean
that time limit is so huge you can circumvent san andreas twice.

The fuck it wasn't. Zero is way harder and fuck Zero and his stupid ass missions.

No. the hardest mission and literary impossible one is that one with seven laps. Can't get more than 99%.

This wasn't that hard on keyboard.

Except for the part where I did this.

Dsp needs to stop jerking in stream and give his soap making daughter some attention.

Guys, those schools were there to teach you how to handle vehicles. Would you rather prefer
>press W to accelerate
W
>Achievement unlocked! Accelerated!
>200% success!!!
>Ya get 3 gold stars m80!!!

Follow the train is legitimately fucked but otherwise I skip Zero all together.

To this day I don't understand complaints about flying in SA. It was fine and pretty damn forgiving.

>not getting into dogfights with the army/FBI in your jet
>not enabling the No Wanted Level cheat so you can kill as many pedestrians as you want and parachute into Area 69 or the Aircraft Carrier in San Fierro
>not recruiting GSF members to drive with you into the woods late as night so you can hunt for bigfoot
>not driving a bus full of GSF homies all the way to the small town in the northwest part of the map to get into gangwars with those Desert Eagle gangsters

Can't wait for my GTA V torrent to finish so I can do the same shit. The cops are fucking annoying as hell in V and Online is just cancer so I'm not gonna drop full price for that shit on steam.

this was fucking hard

This was easy. The real shit is this Mission where you have to fly above that other plane
