Fat characters should have more points in strength and resistance to physical ailments like poison, then less points in every other stat.

>spiky black hair character is an edgelord

It makes sense: fat bleeds less than muscle does and a protective layer of fat between skin and muscle means a slice or a shallow stab won't cause as much harm as directly into muscle. That's one of the reasons that gladiators were bearfats, so that they could survive longer in the arena.

>Final boss didn't make me a sandwich
No more hugs Will

>final boss swindled you

That should be represented by marginal bonuses to bleed resistance or defense, not a raw vitality boost.

>Contemporary accounts of gladiator life sometimes refer to the warriors as hordearii--literally, "barley men." Grossschmidt and collaborator Fabian Kanz subjected bits of the bone to isotopic analysis, a technique that measures trace chemical elements such as calcium, strontium, and zinc, to see if they could find out why. They turned up some surprising results. Compared to the average inhabitant of Ephesus, gladiators ate more plants and very little animal protein. The vegetarian diet had nothing to do with poverty or animal rights. Gladiators, it seems, were fat. Consuming a lot of simple carbohydrates, such as barley, and legumes, like beans, was designed for survival in the arena. Packing in the carbs also packed on the pounds. "Gladiators needed subcutaneous fat," Grossschmidt explains. "A fat cushion protects you from cut wounds and shields nerves and blood vessels in a fight." Not only would a lean gladiator have been dead meat, he would have made for a bad show. Surface wounds "look more spectacular," says Grossschmidt. "If I get wounded but just in the fatty layer, I can fight on," he adds. "It doesn't hurt much, and it looks great for the spectators."

So he has more cut/bleeding resistance, what does that have to to with overall vitality?

fat characters shouldn't have any benefits because being fat is unhealthy and decreases your chance of survival.

> The skinny guy is either a thief or an archer
> Dex is the main Stat to increase damage while using a bow

Using a bow requires strength dammit.

>being wrong on the internet

> quest received [FIND GEOFFREY]

If bleeding resistance isn't a stat then vitality works in a pinch.

This always triggered me.

in a predatory environment yeah but a fat guy would die of starvation more slowly than a skinny guy in the wild because his body has reserves to feed off of

that said, fat chicks are smelly and gross

>main character won't fix ac in the poolhouse
>how could he be so cruelhouse?

Being strong doesn't improve your aim though
Honestly bows should have their damage scale off both STR and DEX, while other ranged weapons like guns and crossbows would just be pure DEX or maybe DEX and INT if you need to shoehorn a second stat.

Nothing wrong with that if the fastness includes agility.

i'm not reading that wall of text. when i was fat i was slower, got tired more quickly, got sick more often, had more respiratory issues, and got cramps whenever i attempted the mildest of physical activity. so i know firsthand.

>final boss objects to your cross examination
>he gives you the enlargement later on

TL;DR: Gladiators were fat because it increased their survival in the arena.

Which is a direct counter to your claim that fatness confers no survival benefits whatsoever.

Yeah, but you weren't builtfat.
You can count the number of video game characters who were just straight up fat on one hand.
The rest were muscular with fat on top of the muscle, which is entirely different.
