You gotta give props to the Melee pros. They've been keeping up this Weekend At Bernie's shit for almost a decade now, and people still haven't suspected that Melee's actually little more than bones now.

ASW has had the best showing 2 years in a row, only rivalled by USFIVs final top 8. Don't really think the 3rd slot is unwarranted at this point.

Both Smash games not being on Sunday makes sense. It's still mainly a FGC event and you know a lot of people are going to get pissed off if both are on Sunday plus there could potentially be ~6-7 hours of Smash which could lead to time constraints. It's the reason why CEO won't have both on Sunday too. A lot of people bitch just because both of them are in EVO too, 2 on Sunday would lead to a riot.

That being said, I hope Smash 4 doesn't get fucked over with a Saturday morning slot like last year. That was honestly really shitty, I remember a lot of people dropping out of the doubles side event because of it.

Thing is every Fox player is different because the character allows it.

Smash 4 characters are so streamline there is little variation to their game-plan.

Smash 4 is more diverse because the balance isn't as skewed. With Sheik nerfed and not being able to wall out 90% of the cast now and Bayo not being able to hit you twice and win, there's no character that's outright better than everyone.

A lot of people can't even agree on who's the best at the moment. Some people say Diddy, some say Cloud and some say Rosa.

Everyone's also caught up to Zero so majors are incredibly unpredictable at the moment. I watch both games and honestly I enjoyed watching Smash 4 at GOML more than Melee.

AnimEVO is better, and has the better games.

GG really has no reason to be higher up than it is. Melee and SFV has more viewers and participants, you'd have to be incredibly biased to think otherwise. I don't like SFV, but the reality of the situation is that the vast majority of events would get far less interest if SFV isn't the main game.

Barely anyone watches all of AnimEVO. Some will tune in for a few games they like, but right now AnimEVO is literally just throwing every single game that people can think of into a blender, and just making the overall experience bland as fuck.
