Literally the only thing that good is Picross and WarioWar Touched, becuase they're excluisve to MyNintendo.

Only if you buy it directly from the eShop, so those codes don't count. Also, dlc doesn't count.

It will become more prevalent with the next consoles due to being built around the infrastructure.

3DS dlc never counted because it was bought in-game. Wii U dlc might have though.

I completely forgot about it because Miitomo sucked so hard I stopped using it after a week, and the My Nintendo rewards at launch were lackluster.

Miitomo is an app that allows you to earn 15 platinum coins per day by reading 10 answers friends have given to nintendo's survey questions, answering 3 questions yourself and changing your mii's clothes. It's like a sort of weird social network where people just tell you answers to questions like "Does your family own a car?" or "What's been happening lately?".

It's like a social media app where you talk about yourself.

Pretty sure none of my friends have miitomo. Would it still let me grind for points hoping shit that interests me shows up on ny rewards?

3. Sign in to Miiverse weekly
4. Visit the eShop weekly

No. 3 & 4 require you to have your NNID linked to your MyNintendo account to get the points.

I have zero interest in Miitomo, so it's probably simply not meant for me.

After logging in to MyNintendo, open the menu sidebar on the left. Then at the bottom click on "Nintendo Website" to take you to Nintendo.com. Then return to MyNintendo and see your points have gone up.

A tragedy happened since then where my Wii U had to be repaired but my save data couldn't be recovered
I'm not sure why, the disc drive was the only broken thing, it was perfectly capable of playing digital games.

I did have an external HDD, when I got the wii u back back it was no longer registered to it and I had to reformat it.

Can confirm that if you have a digital game (indieshit mostly) that supports cross-buy between 3DS/Wii U, and then download it on the other system (only if you havent already), My Nintendo counts it as a new purchase and will give you gold coins for free for it.

The game itself has to be above the $5 margin though.

Have 4000+ platinum coins right now and I've been stockpiling them since launch besides spending a few on miitomo clothes. But since then I've lost pretty much all interest in miitomo and now I just play it for the coins more or less. I could just get the games and themes I want right now but I'll just wait until the day before they expire just in case anything better pops up.

According to the site they expire after six months, so I'll be able to blow off about half my coins through the stuff I want now. If I have to I'll use some on Miitomo shit if they're about to expire and there's nothing else I want.
