Was the PC port of Mass Effect good? Any problems with it?

Well okay then.
You'll have to download that high res texture mod.
Apparently there are compatiblity issues with modern cards. Enabling antialising can cause lighting issues with some.
It's pretty meh honestly. Some of the textures are 10/10 but then others are minimal effort.
Hmm, probably better to just get a cheap copy of the 360 version then. Thanks.
NO 360 FRAMERATE IS ABSOLUTE ASS
GET IT ON PC PLEASE
Well, I'll watch some comparison videos, but if it's that bad, I'll probably wait for the summer sale.
Hope you're not going to play that on Xbone. There are serious performance issues even with the compatiblity patch.
>lighting issues
The character hitboxes become solid black.
I'd just get the PC version. It'll make it easier to transfer your saves when you pirate ME3.
It only happens in two areas of the game, though.
Pinnacle Station is Origin only might be a non issue for you.
Doesn't run well with some cards.
No native controller support, but there's a mod out that more or less replicates the 360 one.
Why would you need a controller? It plays fine with a mouse and keyboard. And I say this as a longtime consolefag.
no controller support despite the control scheme and menu's being HEAVILY gamepad-centric.
To this day nobody has found a decent workaround besides xpadder and even thats not perfect.
Also a staggering lack of nude mods...

>optional texture pack to make the game look significantly better
>optional antialiasing that sometimes can screw up lighting on certain modern cards
>"Well, better get the 360 version where I don't have any options to make it look better"
This mentality, sadly, is why console gaming will never die. "Oh, I might have to spend 3 minutes messing with settings to get the best out of it? Better just get the version with all the minimal settings instead."
apparently the Mako was difficult to use with a console controller. I really enjoyed it with keyboard + mouse and was upset it was removed from the sequels.
Incoming best waifu, meatbags need not apply.
I've played it over and over again. It works fine.
I just want to experience the story and setting again. I don't need the best graphical fidelity to do that, and I think the controller is better than the keyboard for this particular game. I'll get it used, so it's not like I'm supporting any business practices, so why the fuck do you care if I don't feel like messing with shit to just play my game in this particular instance?
>ME3 shit
Get out.
>apparently the Mako was difficult to use with a console controller.
I didn't have any problems with it on PS3. I mean it still sucked to use but not because of controls.
For an infiltration unit that thing really sucks at blending in
Not the OP, but since you brought it up.
Are there reliable places to pirate this series, and if so, is there any way to get online working as well? I would assume not since it's pirated but I don't feel like buying the whole series again
Pic unrelated
>No mod to make femsheps ass bigger
Why live?
Because you've made a thread. You've already put some minimal effort into researching it, why not get the best version? It would take less time to configure the game properly than you've spent posting and reading here, so why throw all that away just because completely optional additions scared you off?
And if you genuinely think third person shooters are better with a controller, I don't know what to say. Do what you want.
Pinnacle station is crap but can be stuffed into Steam version since it's just few files and updating some *.ini
It's fine as it is, nigga
Holy shit stop being a massive faggot and just pirate a DLC complete Trilogy somehwere. This is not hard user.
you are the the cancer in gaming
Sorry I use whatever version of a game I prefer. Sometimes plug and play is comfy.
Better controls, free DLC pack, high res texture mod
I'd say it's better than the 360 version.
