Well user, the only news I have for you is that it might not be Horizon or Motorsport. There are rumblings of a third franchise.

It already leaked actually. It takes place near the Golden Coast and Perth in Australia. I know leddit, but two things so far have come true.

I'm actually hoping for a third Forza franchise which will shed some franchise fatigue. Horizon 3 is definitely coming, but I hope it is next year instead

Didn't Ralph Fulton toy with the idea of sport rally? I know Dan said it doesn't always have to be Horizon/Motorsport.

I don't fucking want the borefest that is Motorsport though, Horizon has been the only sub-series that has done simcade well in a long ass time. NFS 2015 took a crack at it but it was utter trash, and Forza Horizon 2 is in my personal top 5.

Forza isn't a snorefest you fucking pleb, but yes Horizon is a good simcade and it's also almost certainly the next Forza game.

Forza 6 definitely was. It's like they gave up and just said fuck it, do 8 laps now instead of 5.

I just hope this Project Helix stuff is true. Forza is the only reason I have my Xbone still, and I'd rather get spied on with W10 then assraped by the Xbone.
I was hoping for the teased Tokyo mountain stuff, but Australia seems semi decent.

They did with the first one's DLC but it wasn't popular compared to Storm Island.

The big rumor is that because they are doing Shitpost land that they are going to introduce Bikes into the game because Australia has a huge bike culture along with the car culture while FM7 will be targeting having both bikes and cars. Possibly even the final expansion for 6 as well

There's a rumor of a third Forza as well but it's looking like "Forza VR" as a warm up for 7 over a real full version

To T10's credit, they fixed a shitload of six including the draft mechanics with the Turn left expansion and introduced mandatory pit stops. Shit's hilarious online because people still don't realize that they have to make a pit or they get DQ'd.

Oh right, I forgot just how bad 6 was, sorry. Forza 2 and 4 were fantastic though.

Horizon's great too, I played the first one and drifting a B class AE86 took me through all of the game I was allowed to use it in. Interpret that how you will.

They've already announced that all future Forza games are coming to PC. Not sure I'll buy it though, Windows store games fucking suck and Apex ran like shit.

Turn 10 is smart enough to outsource to the Vietnamese (Glassegg) and this is why they release yearly (amassing more revenue) with a Madden-esque release schedule.

If only they would put in everything that Horizon has on a map like the one on Test Drive Unlimited 1/2. Cruising on 1:1 Hawaii and Ibiza were always a blast especially if you had a couple of friends to cruise with. That would make an instant A+ on my list.

Isn't Horizon Playground Games?
It's a pretty novel way of doing things, though. Having the franchise split like it is means that one can see the iterative improvements from the other while having its own identity. Horizon's well and truly usurped NFS, while arguably the mainline is better than GT. Though I'd argue for the latter that's due to Polyphony being fucking glacially slow and complacent.

Not my cup of tea, not for a racing game at least. Sadly Forza 2 didn't have music for endurance races so it was either 25 laps around nurburgring of quiet tension or put in some headphones.

The newer motorsports suck compared to 2 and 4, maybe 3 as well don't know never played it.

Is AC any good with a controller? I'm already good at Motorsport with a controller, but I'm not sure how well those skills would translate.

I liked GT's OST up to and including 3, then after that it became less 'notable' and more just a thing which was there. Personally prefer GT2's OST.

I still have a super soft spot for 2. Really fucking fun game and I think a lot of the soul's been lost with its transition towards more like what GT does. Clean interfaces and shit.
I find Forza more a celebration of cars and car culture than GT, which is almost entirely 'super serious racing look we have an FIA badge'. If I wanted super serious, I'd plug my G27 into my PC and stick AC/DiRT:R on.

Did you not play Forza Motorsport 4? Fact: FM4 with all DLC (go pirate it) has a car roster that rivals Gran Turismo 4. It's impressive.

I really love it too, especially since it was my introduction to the series, but Forza 4 did improve on a lot of stuff and didn't lose much except maybe the music, so 4 might just be my favorite.

I don't know what this guy is smoking, the Horizon series is made by Playground Games, ex-Bizarre (PGR), ex-Codemasters (Toca/GRID, Colin McRae/DIRT)

They sometimes had some silly stuff in there as well as the comfy.

If so that'd be fantastic. If they introduce bikes they'd probably have to introduce more rider customization hopefully. Helmet and jacket customization would be great.

Only thing I feel with the game having bikes is since they're a lot more 'hands-on' by default, you don't quite get the right feeling for them.
But maybe that's just because I ride a bike myself while my car's a shitheap.

Can't wait to see what hardcore sim rigs would come from that.

Yeah apex was fun until I beat the main game. It doesn't even have split screen or it didn't work for me. I don't get the thought process of not porting it to PC and instead making a new shit barebones game instead

Because the main development team is probably working on the next Motorsport. Apex is purely a side project at this point.

I mean you still got two good exclusive Forza games. Hell, I was thinking about picking up a cheap Xbox One post E3 so I can drive around Celicas with my dad.

Played Forza Horizon 2 all summer last year and it remains one of one favorite games on the xbone. Tried Forza motorsport but track racing isnt as fun. Comfy levels in Horizon is through the roof
