Fucking artificial difficulty
...
How about the old mode in Sierra games where you couldn't just hire unemployed, but had to build homes next to the production centres, ending up with perpetual slums and shacks?
Come on bros, Where are ya?
Is this banished? I never played a city builder but heres a pic
wow user, this is really beautiful. I have put over 100 hours in Banished and never made anything that good.
Yes, With Colonial Charter mod. Pics were from my recent session in Beeville. Need more Bee mods.
I tried picking up Zeus a while ago but even after playing the tutorial I had no idea how to get anything done.
Maybe I should try it again.
What is the best current city builder? All I have right now is SC4 and it crashes every so often.
>Needs more bee mods
There is only so much you can do with bees.
I put in most my hours on just these fun projects. Colonial Charter is fun, But sometimes I need to make a map and throw on Debug mode after fucking Smallpox.
>Crashes too often.
Force it to use only once core. There is a tutorial if you google it.
*one core
>He builds his citys on farmland
>He don't uses citygates to separate residential districts from industry and farming districts
>He doesn't organize great feasts every month to please the gods so they might protect you
get gud mate
Cool thanks. Any thoughts on city skyline or cities XL?
Not him, but I played the shit out of Cities: Skylines and consider it what SimCity should have been
Hol' up.
Is that a fucking swamp-tileset?
Mods?
I just want another Apiary building or something to fit the towns random generated name I got. Whole gist is One good large town/city in the middle of the swamp supporting smaller Swamp towns/farms and later on a Fort.
Also, What are common farm foods/Veggies I should have in a Southern Swamp area?
So far, I got Watermelons, Chickens, Grapes and Sugar Cane crops.
Looks beautiful, I have banished on my PC but I never played it. It isn't like emperor where the mainfocus is on the economy, or is it.
I was just starting out and needed an adequate amount of people to get the farms running. It's risky having to make and manage more than one district when I still haven't started making produce and income yet. Also, the earthquake is a scripted event in the campaign that's guaranteed to happen.
My big issue is that it's a fucking pain in the ass to get markets to work properly so my houses end up constantly fluctuating. Having to set up pathing not only for the marketers to get access to resources and but also for reliable and consistent access to houses is difficult.
Colonial Charter mod, 1.62 version.
It is like a whole new game bro. Here is the only Mountain area where I could set up a Quarry without using edge of the map.
I never played Emperor, But yeah. There is a focus in economy. Normal game is basic 'Start with supplies and grow your village' while nasty plagues/diseases will pop up to kill your folk. Winter will kill you without firewood or coats, Your villagers can outbreed how much food you make (Usually whenever I let immigrants into my village is when shit goes south). Colonial Charter adds so many new supplies to make surviving easier and harder. Along with being able to play in the Desert or Swamp
Reminds me, I want to rework that area, I just wish I could make the straight edges of those fade away
Skylines is what I wanted Simcity 2013 to be.
I still prefer playing SC4, but Skylines is great. I didn't like XL that much.
There should be a general in /vg/ with a recomemded downliads list.
I just hate caesar 3 its just so primitive and lacks on features which make it enjoyable. You can't regulate which warehouse how much resources it has to handle, it has no blocks to restrict access and you can't mannage youre workforce very well. I like every game in the series but caesar is just to old for me.

Bananas
I like Banished, but I don't like fact that it just keeps creating more people. I'd like a hard limit tgat emmigrates excess people to keep the population consistant.
>Colonial Charter mod
Wait, you mean Banished finally has a decent mod.
Gonna reinstall the game just to give the mod a shot.
