>Salty MN9fags trying make it seem like Yooka-Laylee is the next MN9 because it got delayed
Calm down dude, this is a Yooka Laylee thread, not a Mighty Number 9 thread.
I didn't back but I'm thankful that other people did. Game looks great, I'm very hype.
>it's ok when this company does it
This is actually a good trailer. I thought the game might be decent but this is looking good. But the music for the trailer wasn't really fitting 2bh
Trouble with the trolley eh
It didn't feel much like a trailer, but I'm glad to see lots of gameplay.
I didn't back it because I knew it would get funded . I'll buy the game
£30 tier, get a nice fancy soundtrack and the toybox.
May get a digital art book aswell, but not sure. Mainly went for that tier for the soundtrack.
I finally figured out what the music reminds me of.
The bonus stage music in DK64. Ya know, "WELCOME TO BONUS STAGE!"
Not a good memory...
Sounded like boss music to me. I played it with Jungle Challenge in back instead and it gave the trailer a whole different feeling.

What happened to A Hat in Time??
You bet your ass I backed, I wish I had given them more money than I did.
>You can't trust this lot... It'll probably have car sections by then
I hope they dont make this shit as boring as DK64 where you had to collect everything to proceed.
I hope this delay is similar to the one Tropical Freeze copped, but I can definitely trust Playtonic. Not to mention it now won't release during my exam period so it's a win-win situation for me anyway.
They've already said that you don't even have to expand the worlds if you don't want to.
I imagine there will be a lot of content locked behind the collectibles though.
Still bothered it's not actually Banjo an Kazooie you play as.
I'm still hoping they design a skin mode and put it out secretly.
Nothing, it's just still in development. Game dev takes time and Gears for Breakfast is only like twelve people and most of them are artists. I think there's only one programmer. Kickstarter physical rewards were just sent out two days ago.
I'd play her brown level if you know what I mean
Fucking britbongs, they're all a buncha jokers.
I threw a tenner at it for a cheap steam key.
Really wish I'd given them more now.
Expect mods.
>twelve people and most of them are artists. I think there's only one programmer.
>only one programmer.
hatintime.com
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
>yookasexy
But Yooka's a boy user
I only just saw the jiggy in the glass
Wish I had backed, but I am happy it's coming on Steam.
Trailer looking good, the game is just like I expected.
This game is fucking gorgeous for a Kickstarter.
Rare Magic is still alive.
Why are all of the characters in this game so fucking ugly?
They've been talking about it, but what characters do you think are actual contenders to get their own games? Trowzer is by far the most popular of the supporting cast so I'd bet on him.
>the only programmer is also the director of the project
Well then if that's how he wants to do it I guess.
>Jon Jafari – Voice of Moon Penguins
JonTron is also doing a voice for yooka delayee, right?
INDUSTRIAL LEVEL
INDUSTRIAL LEVEL
INDUSTRIAL LEVEL
I think banjos character artists are still at rare
That's actually just part of the hub.
Nope, Grunty's artist made the Bee guy.
>the hub is an industrial level
Well the people making it ARE the old Rare. They have my faith. I'm sure this game will be GOAT.

RIP Banjo-Kazooie
Banjo and Kazooie was garbage
Ape Escape was the only good collectathon.
They are pretty good for a lizard and a bat. Just in Banjo style.
>Clear Jiggy in the background
Banjo canon here?
Tooie > Kazooie
>He backed Yooka-Delaylee
there'd better be a fucking mad monster mansion type level
They have their strengths and weaknesses. Kazooie's a pure platformer while Tooie's more of an exploration game with platforming, minigame, and FPS parts. It does the exploration and platforming parts well but the other bits are hit or miss.
I am really glad they're going with the "BAH BAH BAH BAH" voices instead of proper VAs.
These voices are actually decent too but they're just no as funny.
This along with is all I truly want.
Assuming there are 5 levels as some people have been saying, what do people want the themes to be? Bearing in mind that Jungle and Snow are already confirmed.
>2017
Tooie has too much backtracking for its own good, and I don't like the Jiggy puzzle minigame.
That said, Tooie still has some great levels, like WitchyWorld.
tescos at 2 o clock in the morning
They make a lot of tongue-in-cheek references. Mostly jabs at Microsoft and new Rare who fucked it up.
...
>this was the only game I was looking forward to all year
Ha, a Its Mr Pants! reference.
Why the hell does Laylee need all that towel room?
>Shipwreck Creek
>Library (Hub world)
>Tribalstack Tropics
>Ice world
>Hivory towers
there's your 5 levels :^)
I bet that carrot isn't even organic.
>implying any of those are bad

Interesting to look back at E3 1997 Banjo to see how different and off it looked.
Didn't back, but still hype as hell for it.
Replaying BK and BT on emulator again to quench the thirst a little bit.
The thing is, though, I loved BK so much, it's one of my favorite games ever, so this game won't have to do much more than boot up properly and do what the trailers already show it doing for me to love it to death. I would play it and replay it as-is, even with the unfinished level roster and lack of polish.
So for me, the game can only get better, I don't need to hope for XYZ
>Hivory towers
>5 levels
>same length as BK
Really?
It's a reference to everyone going "Yooka needs some clothes" like in forums.playtonicgames.com
I thought shipwreck creek WAS the hub world? Or at the very least was Spiral Mountain to the library's Grunty's Lair.
I assumed it was 5 actual game worlds.
She has a big ego so her towel reflects on it I'm guessing, not quite sure about anything in this game desu
Is that surprising? They are making this as close to BK as physically possible without breaking copyright infringement.
Shipwreck Creek is the Spiral Mountain to Hivory Towers, which is the hub world with the library and magic books.
200 quills and 25 Pagies in each
Jungle
Snow
Desert
Capital Bee Spooky Circus kind of thing
Rare's take on Hell.
>every game I've looked forward to this year is getting delayed to 2017
>mfw Cuphead and the new South Park game also get delayed
I can't remember if it was a tweet or not but they said that there were 5 worlds you can travel to so I assume that was what they meant.
1: Mumbo's Mountain
2: Treasure Trove Cove
3: Clanker's Cavern
4: Bubblegloop Swamp
5: Freezeezy Peak
6: Gobi's Valley
7: Mad Monster Mansion
8: Rusty Bucket Bay
9: Click Clock Wood
>your fingers when Canary Mary makes a return
>Rare's take on hell
>They just lift Rusty Bucket Bay and Grunty Industries completely unchanged from Kazooie/Tooie and mash them into the same level
Really good quality for a fan video
...
It's become a common E3 theme to announce games they know won't be done within the next year when they don't have anything else to show. That's the state of the industry.
The game is meant to be BK type length, not the individual worlds.
Each world will be bigger than any Banjo world.
>They sprinkle in a bit of Turbo Tunnel from Battletoads for good measure
All of those levels were amazing. Minus Gobi's Valley. Didn't like that one. Just felt really plain and uninteresting.
But will there be levels inside of terrifying half-mechanical creatures?
After replaying BT, somebody at Rare was on a vore kick. There's two different levels like that in one game, so Yookah should go for three.
>that blanket design
Pretty darn cute.
In fairness, though, the game is set up with worlds stitched together by the expansion mechanic, with 2.5x as many MacGuffins per world.
So it's like, would we count it as two separate levels if you went back to Clanker's Cavern, added more jiggies, and it opened the garbage chute to swim through the muck Bubblegloop Swamp and then took the wader boots up-stream to Rusty Bucket Bay?
I feel like that's more their approach, which DESU feels like a natural extension of the inter-stitched level design in Tooie. Though only time will tell if these world expansions open up new art assets and environment styles to blend with the first or if it's just "this world but bigger"
>Bubblegloop Swamp
>Treasure Trove Cove
these were pretty shitty worlds
That actually looks kinda good. Didn't expect that.
If I was 10y old I'd probably really enjoy this.
I'm pretty sure vore fetish wasn't even a thing back then.
>ttc
>shitty
bait
Why would you have to be 10 to enjoy fun things?
>Tribalstack Tropics
>Disney Presents: Frozen 2
>Gritty Cityscape
>Redwood Waterfront
>Spooked-up Desert
>and Beaver Bother
same
>Turbo Tunnel where you have to mash like Canary Mary to slow down to a controllable speed.
>If I was 10y old I'd probably really enjoy this.
>I only play mature rated games for mature gamers such as myself
I'm terrified of this game's release. I'm scared that I'm going to play it and not enjoy it, and that will signify that I'm dead inside and can no longer enjoy the games that made me love video games as a child.
>All that classic Rare charm
>They aren't even pretending that it's not just a new Banjo Kazooie game
I'd be happier, but it just keeps reminding me that BK is dead.
Not everyone can be an autistic manchild.
God I hope there's at least equal representation between Wise and Kirkhope. Wise is a much better composer when it comes to varying his work, while Kirkhope's submissions for YL have been slightly modernized versions of existing melodies and progressions of music straight from BK and BT.
