Bro buy overwatch. it is all about teamwork!

>bro buy overwatch. it is all about teamwork!
>proceed to buy game
>hmm. says we need support, guess I will get roadhog, looks decent
>literally go 22-1 in my first match

What the fuck? Was the teamwork part a meme?

Maybe you should actually pick a support then.

did you at least help with the objective?

>Enemy gets rekt
>b-but you arent helping the objective

I will never get this.

Your team had your back man, you're their boy man. Brother I got you covered from afar man.

>play ONE(1) game against scrubs and do well
>"team play is a meme"

How retarded can you be?

Getting kills away from objectives doesn't help any. Gotta protect the base or help escort the target not just go for le-meme k/d

no one pushing/blocking the cart
no one defending/attacking the point
>muh K/D though...

>Need Support
>Choose Tank
>Happen to choose tank with stun and high close-range damage with pull and self heal
>Surprised he does well
>doesn't realize there is no K:D per se in Overwatch
>you see eliminations at the end, and deaths, because it doesn't matter until then
>eliminations include assists, not killing blow
>Still surprised he did well with one of the better not-as-broken characters as lv1

the game is objective based

if you do not get this then stick to non-objective based games

Obviously user. I stuck around the objective and played how a support should, and won. I noticed most of the time I was the only guy on the objective. Hence I ask, is the teamplay a meme?

The game has a hidden ranking, so your first match it paired you with shitters.

Pretty easy to understand.

>Enemy gets rekt

When you kill an enemy they will respawn in a few seconds anyway.

All that hard work of yours did fuck all.

looking at someone counts as a kill in this game

you cant even tell if those 22 are yours

The game is literally tunnels, where would you need to "farm" that k/d to not help the objective?

Goddamn troglodytes and their fucking blind brain cancerous growths accidentally managing to post on Sup Forums somehow.

Yes user team play in a game where you have allies is a meme. Now go back to sleep.

Piggy feeds so much. Every game I play where the enemy team has Piggy I average 4 supers. I love it when the enemy has him.. makes it easier to carry.

if you want game where teamwork is so good it gets confused with hacking, get siege.

you are playing with people who just started using the game as well

try to resist the moba-'main' mentality and chose baseded on your team and the opponents team

Assuming you're on the front line, I don't either, but most of the derogatory shit behind that idea is due to people going exclusively for stragglers, or people they know are worse than them. Sniper "duels" in TF2 come to mind.

>assuming he got his 22:1 away from the objective
>as fucking roadhog

it's not like he was playing hanzo or widowmaker m8's

this too. i got 33:2 in my first match, and that was as mei (who i now realize i'm garbage at now that i'm against competent folks). a buddy of mine got 37:1 as reaper during his first match

Seeing as there's no way to win in Overwatch based on kills alone, killing enemies should really be a secondary concern to capping the point or pushing the payload.

Having a person pushing flanks or harassing the enemy team from behind goes a long ways towards winning rather than having everybody stacking the objective, which effectively let's the other team bring the fight to you. Flankers win games

Eliminations =/= Final blows.

You can't capture points or move the payload without killing the enemy. Even if you move away from the objective, if you can kill enough enemies to make the fight at the objective unbalanced in your team's favor, you are doing a good job.

>get 30 elimination
>but nobody push the payload
>we lose

You realize that 22 =\= that you actually killed 22 player. You participate in their elimination, but its not all you.

This coming from a guy who picks a Tank because his team needs Support.

That was his point you dumdum.
>teamwork
>we need support!
>takes something else
>does "well" anyways

wow op nice blog about your terrible MMR group

The game doesn't actually tell you how many kills you get so it can minimize the knowledge you have of your impact of the game. It's showing you "eliminations", which means any enemy that died in medium vicinity of you. Blizzard do it in all their games to make bad players feel good about themselves.

eliminations mean you had a part in the enemies death, not just 'you were near them'
it does display the kills that you got somewhere

>Had 68% win ratio
>Level 20
>Every game I joined today is an instant defeat defending A/B points with some Hanzo which just seems to disappear and someone who stops playing and stays in spawn for the majority of the game
>Enemy team is 80 -100 and rarely leave each others view

Holy fuck

The only time you shouldn't try to be on the objective is if you're Tracer, Genji, or Widowmaker, because they thrive on arriving in places you don't expect and harassing the back lines of the enemy team.

D.VA is in the same category. She should be played like that, unless you really need someone on the objective, then she can help as-well, but is far better at getting behind the other team.

D.Va is shit

Depends on context.

Sometimes it's best to be wiping enemies out. Other times it isn't. Or at least wiping them out WHILE you do something else, like stay on a fucking point/payload.

50% win rate enforced
Deal with it scrub

No

Yes

The only constant is you.

Im tired of this myth.

It's a theory that's neither proven or invalidated. Plenty of anecdotal evidence. We'll know at some point.

Fuck your objectives, I'm here to hook and shoot shit up

masteroverwatch.com/leaderboards/pc/us/winrate

Fuck off, you nigger liar

It would apply after a significant number of matches.

Most of those are people who've played like 100 times.

>Most of those are people who've played like 100 times.

>#5 soulive - 711 games - 91.4 winrate
Fuck off, you nigger liar

>1 person
Are you brain damaged, you nigger?

But you say that it's a theory that's neither proven or invalidated. You can have more that 50 winrate, you idiot

It's your first game retard, you will verse more challenging opponents when you get to higher levels. When your enemy is well co-ordinated, I dare you to use a solo style of gameplay.

The game might have 21 heroes, but you will only be playing one third of them if you actually want to win.

The game has a ranking system, in my first 20 matches or so I destroyed everyone nonstop with 20+ killstreaks every game.
After that the real game began.

>Enemy gets rekt trying to push the cart

When you kill an enemy they will respawn in a few seconds anyway.

All that hard work of yours did fuck all.

>my friends tell me about their first few games
>wow im so gud XD

Every single time.

I feel compelled to switch to Roadhog if the enemy team has a Tracer / Mercy / McCree / Lucio just to one shot them with the hook combo.

There is nothing more satisfying than hooking Mercy and McCree out of their ults, even if Mercy's involves prediction than reaction.

That's pretty funny because my first match was also with roadhog but I went 24-0

Most of those people probably play in a group and communicate throughout the match. 50% pretty much applies to solo players who get paired up with shitters who play hanzo on a offense match.
When there is no communication, the team falls apart.

Also solo players are more inclined to be paired up in a ongoing match where they are about to lose. Shits not fair.

Group up with your friends then

cool story bro

>That symmetra exploit out right now

>Gotten potg so many times with her

You faggots look at this and watch your xp skyrocket.

youtu.be/LC9c52D_zvM

I'll make a webm of it too so give me some time

So is there no video of someone trying to actually attack it?

>get in a game
>someone's playing symetra, someone's playing roadhog
>Reaper on the team says "Guys, we need a tank and a healer"
>no one changes their characters
>"UGH FINE I'll be the healer"
>We win the game, Roadhog gets most healing on the team

People seem to think that this is a moba or an MMO where you need to perform a role and if you focus on your role then that means you're doing your part for the team, but the reality is that you need to work with your team to do what you do well. You could coordinate a team of 6 McCrees and continually ambush folks if you wanted to. I saw video of an all-Mercy team that coordinated who was buffing, shooting, and healing and was more functional than a "balanced" team.

All you still need is Winston and her turrets dead

Oh man, that's so fucked up. I'm definitely doing that.

Uh yea getting kills helps,
>Be me
>Genji
>Fucks up enemy team while mine gets objective.
>They move payload with no trouble cuz I'm fucking these bitches shit up.

>Play Symmetra, place my sentries, position myself, ready
>hem we dont have a healer, symmetra pick someone else
Fuck off, I easily kill 20+ person and make it fucking annoying, bar impossible with some help, to get the first point. Just see me as Torb 2.0 with teleporter support in no time

You are effectively useless if someone picks winston

I've killed my fair share of winston n 1v1, and I dont put all my sentries together

>those games where everyone else is busy playing team death match and you just sit on the payload and move it uncontested until the end

It's nice to have a competent team and shitty enemies, but it's also kind of boring.

>friends

I wish bro...

Dont meme me bro
