During Death Battle's early years the guy who played Boomstick said that the reason they didn't do Snake vs Sam at that point was because they couldn't find the right way to make it entertaining. He jokingly said that the match would be a single frame until a gun shot is heard. IIRC this was before they hired an actual animator

Yet the point still remains, if you're going to do something, do it right. The reason I don't make things like this is because I know I wouldn't be able to do an acceptable job and that's just my issue. They're capable of doing a better job, but they needed to get this out as soon as possible.

You either do something serviceable in a year or a few months so you can move on to your next requested project, or you do the best possible animation while taking years to make it.

You're not wrong but I disagree with you're acceptance of that. If the focus is on the story or music then I wouldn't care about the animation, but it's one job is animating a fight that is enjoyable to watch.
I can't help the fact that the animations look stiff to me. With that being the case, I guess this channel just isn't my cup o' tea though.
