Hold down left click while moving forwards
Can only perform it if you are not within attack range already (in which case you'll just smack them with the quick attack like normal) boosts you forward a short distance in order to hit them.
If you're chasing someone and gaining on them it's always better to lunge after them than to wait for quick attack range.

Actually, from the official Steam forum, the noise you're hearing is an audio glitch. It fucks up by playing the trapdoor sound nowhere near where the trapdoor actually is.

I got the same one. Read more closely. You can kill a survivor by making them bleed out or sacrificing them. I'm guessing you maybe have to sacrifice the last one, though. Not sure. Maybe it makes it easier to kill them, like by not requiring them to bleed out.

I'm not saying it's not on me. I'm saying I used a lot of strats that have netted me a perfect victory in the past, but I fucked up by letting the people keep getting away because I wasn't mindful.
I just finished a match as a survivor and had the same shit happen. My teammates kept fucking charging up to me and I fucked up my first skill check, and it went downhill from there. We got far but when it was just two of us, the other guy started to fuck up all of HIS skill checks. We'd have made it but the killer knew he had a bear trap where I was running through some tall grass.

You can improve your framerate tremendously by setting your game to open in Windowed mode with a lower resolution, since the resolution slider seems to do fuck-all. I've got it set at 1600x900 and the framerate is better when I don't have it fullscreen. I've got it fullscreen now, but even then, setting a lower resolution in launch options seems to help.
