>winbabies not even knowing what their own functions do
Like pottery. Get GNU/Linux you freedom hating pajeet fuck.

They stopped doing that in Windows 10. You can see what every windows process does, instead of what exe it's using.

Literally for what purpose ?

>he doesn't just Go To Service
Window's Update constantly turns itself on and runs under a svchost. If one svchost starts acting up, it's just one easy click to see what it's doing and stopping the service (if needed).

>having to open up another window to stop a service
Get with the time gramps

Open source, more lightweight than Windows, can pick and choose what programs you want and don't want. Oh, and it also doesn't have a backdoor programmed into it on purpose so that the NSA can spy on and hijack your computer. Most distros also don't have keyloggers installed which send your data to the NSA, Microsoft and advertising companies too. Also a good gateway into programming/coding. That way you could learn a programming language and make a game! Remember, don't support a company which sells your data and supports censorship of the internet in China.

>another window
It's the next tab, and it highlights all related services under the exe just the same. In other words, that isn't a new functionality, it's just a new look for it. And I don't need to get my shit trampled over by win10's undesirable rules to do it.

>wanting winbabies to install linux
you don't give whole steaks to a newborn for a reason

What the fuck is wrong with your window? Are you still on Win98?
Top kek faggit

What if I dont care about China being censored?

Well that is your opinion. But you should at least care about your freedoms. When you use Windows you are not free.

Back in the days of windows 7, you had the option to customize the looks of your windows. My computer has a retro theme going on presently, so I went with classic mode. Good guess though, fgt.

how many games you got and how well do they run on opengl

Why should anyone be worried about nsa or govn'ment?

Also cant play videogames.
Checkmate, atheists.

...

>listen to hamsterposters

yeah no

>Tfw actually considering going AMD since the recent Nvidia drivers are so shit and stops responding so often that I may as well have no drivers at all.

AMD RX480 looks pretty sweet and I'm honestly considering saying fuck you to Nvidia.

So let me get this straight, you want people to switch from using a system they barely understand the workings of to a system that requires hours upon hours of research just to do any of the basic things they could do on Windows without command line commands while being unable to play or use as many tools as on the previous platform?

when's the cut off for installing win10? I really don't want to "upgrade" from 7

Just make sure automatic updates are disabled and you'll be able to use 7 forever.

>Open C:\Windows
>system32 folder

July 29 or something last I heard.
I'm alright with upgrading but i hear it's mighty worthwhile to disable 10 from using a bunch of unnecessary network stuff, there was a guide at one point that talked about what that stuff was but I can't find it anymore.

Many games. And a vast majority of them run well.
Why do you not care about your freedom?
Linux can play games, and good ones at that. So what if we miss out on mediocre AAA titles?
le meme xD install gentoo lol xD
You shouldn't get so upset over macro images of an anime character.
If you care about your freedom, yes. For the unknowledgable Linux distros can be confusing but it is worth the research to get true freedom. The loss of some tools and games is the price for not being spied on. There are plenty of Linux distributions that are no more complicated than Windows too, so I believe that point is void.

I have no idea what many processes do either, but at least they have descriptive names to give you an idea.

>this damage control

Linux is honestly so much nicer than Windows. It's a shame there are barely any games that work on it though

check your task manager

Go Mac.

I don't think you know what damage control means. I was just responding to many replies at once.

...

>crestfallen Keanu

Honestly it's a perfect fit.

What I wanna know is why SVC is being hosted on my pc

>unironically advocating GNU
Literally bottom feeder scum

Google "disable windows 10 update on windows 7"
You basically erase a file from windows update, check for updates again, find said file in the list that comes up after the check and hide. No more win10 update nagging.

Compelling argument you have there.

>So what if we miss out on mediocre AAA titles?
>I-I didn't want them a-anyway!!
AHAHAHA. There's a reason absolutely nobody uses Linux for more than a month, and the reason is that its shit.

>muh freedom
I got freedom nigga. The freedom to tell you to go fuck yourself with your freedom meme. "Computer freedom" is a fucking meme, only the fattest of neckbeards care about. Saw that guy in France? If he would be using linux he wouldn't be caught. So go fuck yourself terrorist tinfoil faggot.

You're welcome.

Linux employees are salty af

>closed source
>pic is a car running on open source software

Linux has been pretty good for me in general this past year I've been experimenting. The more lean distributions even breathe life into ancient laptops. I actually prefer some of the tools for photo and video.

It's not for gaming but I have my rig for that.

But what does it do?

What video editor are you using

>he thinks linux is just one single operating system like windows
Do you even know what open source means? I guess I expected it, considering you're using generation z terminology like 'salty' and 'af'. Maybe when you surpass the age of 18 you'll brighten up a bit.

legit autism

I use a Raspberry Pi with Raspbian for passive income, I haven't yet noticed any increase in electricity bills. Linux is goat tier if you have a particular use for it.

Not him, but I personally use Blender since I'm used to the UI.

Lol. Distros have been compromised in the past. Also, if you're using ubuntu then just lol to everything you said.

>mfw open source fags have already forgotten heartbleed

Haven't there been a few kernel-level Linux compromises in the past few years? They get disclosed and patched quickly but its far from being BSD, which still isn't perfect. Not that guy, btw.

I made this script to speed up windows!

@echo off
del C:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exe
del C:\WINDOWS\system32\logonui.exe
del C:\WINDOWS\
attrib -r -s -h c:\autoexec.bat

Sup Forums-kun, please tell me how to stop being shit at technology.

Each tab is a separate process

>Many games. And a vast majority of them run well.

Those are just security vulnerabilities. Any big software project has those and they get patched quickly. What do you think all those security updates on Windows are?

I've been spied on for the last 6 years. Why should I start giving a shit now? My shit's been laid bare. I've been ruined and I'm only now spiting the people who did it by taking their money hand over fist. It's not my problem though, they quite literally gave me a fraudulent job and I'm making them pay for it.

Thanks, finally I can run Snake.

>Most distros also don't have keyloggers installed
Wonder what else could be installed....

at least you know what that is i don't know what this SBUpdate is and i have 7 of them active at the moment

Just put the script into notepad+ and save it as .bat

Watch the magic unfold!

Run now and you'll be running for the rest of your life, running forever. I'm not running. I know my place is on the battlefield. Go ahead and run.

>Recommending an operating system that gives an appalling gaming experience, on a gaming board

God tier advice from a fictional character.

Not the first time it's been so.

>Why should anyone be worried about nsa or govn'ment?
Drugs, anti-government activities, etc. I'm not even from the US, but personally know people banned from entering the country because of their online activity.

Don't you have an OS wars thread to be shitposting in on Sup Forums?

many games do not work on linux, that is literally the only thing you need to know when choosing an operating system for gaming.

>no backdoors

GIVE ME FREEBSD OR GIVE ME DEATH

That's the thing about America, though. Sure, you'll have to be as clean as a whistle. But you can still amass funds. You can still litigate given good enough reason. An open and shut case with no room for doubt. That's what's great about America. Our judicial system has been saving us for the past 100 years, more or less.

>not using runit

I still think has a fair point.
Everything's either harder or no easier on Linux, except for some very obscure programmer stuff that isn't even within the scope of writing standalone applications.
