>you bought a Vita

The game still exists on Vita though... and you can play it anywhere.

A worse version with less content.

>modern falcom
not even once

But the game still exists on Vita though...
What are you implying? Xanadu hasn't existed in years, Trails is better than it's ever been and Ys VIII has jumping so it's not probably going to be the best one yet.

This is why Xseed hasn't announced a localization yet. I'm almost positive

>after-story set several months after the events of the main game and side stories for each character
Guess even Falcom thought they could've did the story better.

No doubt, but I still think the original one will come digitally on Vita.
It was made by a new team at Falcom right? It was just typical shonen stuff, but no one plays a Falcom game for the story unless it's Ys universe.

>An other + version
Is there any reason to buy the first release of any game these days?

I think so yeah.

I know nothing about these kinds of weeb games. Sometimes they're really good but I have no idea how to tell the good ones apart from the horrible, pandery garbage ones.

Is this one of the legit good ones?

>It was just typical shonen stuff, but no one plays a Falcom game for the story unless it's Ys universe
Yeah it's not like the Kiseki series exist or something

Stay away from anything made by Compile Heart and IFI and you should be fine

>Its okay when they port vita games to the PS4 but not steam

which turned into school harem shit

Learn to do research and think for yourself.

Depends on the developer/publiser I guess.
Xseed make money with Vita games period, so I doubt they'll leave it.
This entry is definitely in the mediocre to good spot depending on tastes. It was experimental, it's got mostly randomly generated dungeons and action RPG combat with flashy moves and combos like the Kiseki series. The story is typical shonen stuff too. Something that is high end is Persona 5 or IMO Ys VIII.
You're right, funny thing is - when Cold Steel was announced for Japan way back when - it was one of the few turn based games I was looking forward to - but you're right the focus is on the huge over-arching story.

Doesn't change the fact that Kiseki games exist before Sen

Nice meme

In it's day Xanadu was a pioneer and very influential, people in the States just don't know about it. Read about it on Wikipedia if you want.

This series has potential - they should take it back to it's old style.

>rehashstation 4

Some info about the game itself

>With Tokyo Xanadu, Falcom set out to create a game with a different feel than their other flagship video game series, the Ys and The Legend of Heroes/Trails in the Sky series.[5] While the other series have a fantasy setting,[6] the events of Tokyo Xanadu occur against the background of a fictional suburb of modern-day Tokyo called Morimiya City,[7] and contain modern elements like smartphones and social media.[3] Morimiya was based on actual locations in Tachikawa City where Nihon Falcom has its head office: for example, the Morimiya Station Plaza, with its red arch monument and the "Yumine" Department Store, closely resembles the north exit of Tachikawa Station, which has a similar-looking blue arch monument and a branch of the Lumine Department Store (ja).[8] Falcom held promotional activities at various real-world locations in Tachikawa City which resembled in-game locations, including a Tokyo Xanadu-themed menu at the cafe in Books Orion (ja), an actual Japanese bookstore chain also based in Tachikawa City which appears in-game with permission under its own name.[9]

Vita friends beta tested Xanadu for the PS4 verison that will probably be the only version released in the west since there's no reason to release a version with less content. That and Ys VIII looks like shit in action in the recent trailers, I hope the PS4 version is better.

>Cross-save with the PS Vita version is not supported

A final kick in the teeth.

Falcom got worse ever since they went console exclusive.

nice meme

The game is made entirely by Falcom's young staff to train them.

It has issues mainly with the writing but it's a solid game.

Considering how they almost died as a company thanks to PC only releases, I'd say consoles saved them.

Was this the Vita game that had a Misaka Mikoto costume probably as DLC? There were a bunch of weeb games around that time and that was the only one that I thought looked good gameplay-wise. Almost bought the shitty Nights of Azure thinking it was that game.

Why tho

Skipped it on Vita, will skip it on PS4 too

>high school setting
>idols
>that MC archetype

Falcom's really lost it

If they ported to PS4, they should have taken the time to port it to PC as well

and our ps4friends will beta test this for us, the master racers.

Falcom dropped you secondaries.
Nice try.

NIGGA REMAKE YS V FIRST FUCK

Looks like a poor man's Platinum game.
Too many little attack cutscenes that should not be present on a twitch based action game.

Falcom president literally said that Steam is a bigger market than consoles for them. If they dare to ignore us, they will go bankrupt, it's simple as that.

Do the Japanese love Ys VI or something? I thought it was one of the most boring I've played.

I just realized the original didn't even get localized. Why do we care?

>source: my ass

source

please stop stealing our exclusives
t. vitafag

Isn't this game shit though?

PC when?

never

>falcom
>relevant
Falcom makes nothing but shit now. Long gone are the glory days of them creating good games.

I didn't buy TX on my vita.
After Celceta they've lost all my respect as a company.

>Releases September 8
>Ys VIII PS4 delayed to 2017

There's no need though. The Steam PC version fixed up the backtracking issue by adding teleportation and it's the best version to play. At least put something like Ys 7 and MoC for 60 FPS.

Ever since they implemented that shit party system in Seven, I pretty gave up or their games.
