Is it comfortable?

Zowie FK1, yes.

>Need new mouse
>Probably an actual gaming mouse
>hate how they all seem to be marketed for the Doritos & Mtn Dew crowd.
>At my local Wal Mart, I happen to see a MadCatz "Rat 3" is discounted to 20 bucks.
>God damn, is it an ugly mouse.
>Comfortable as fuck, tho

If you can get them cheap, I'd recommend that. It's my favorite gaming mouse. It looks like someone stepped on it, but it's so damn comfortable.

the 303 is fucking gorgeous and super comfortable.
ive heard about some sensor rattle issues but i havent had that

...

Zowies are good. Minimalistic with quality components and no ugly ricer shit. They're pretty cheap too. I'm using AM-FG atm.

High tier (top 1%) Starcraft 2 and Brood War player here. Been using the Zowie FK1 at 800 DPI for about 1 year now. Fantastic mouse.

you could try a Mionix

I have the one in you're pic, pretty comfy, love the scroll wheel

for when I need both hands.

Using the Steel Series Sensei. It's alright. Prefer it to the Mamba I had, the scrollwheel felt shakey in that thing, and it'd sometimes right-click when I left-clicked. I was given it by a friend though, he had it for a couple of months.

I have this one also. The top layer of plastic iss starting to show cracks and come off, but otherwise its a great mouse.

>Holy shit I want one
>140 dollars
>not that much

Unrelated question. Do people still play Brood War?

g303

Reminds me of the first episode of No game no life where they're playing two MMO characters at once.

Yes, they do. People don't play on the official servers, but there are 2 big private ones. Fish and ICC. Fish is a korean server that has a huge amount of active players. During peak hours it has about 30-40k people playing. Sadly they recently blocked non-koreans by adding a phone verification that only works with korean numbers. Then there's ICC, which has relatively few people online but those who are online usually don't idle and are searching games, so you can find a ranked game in about 30 seconds, you just end up playing the same people pretty often. I'd say the game is pretty fucking alive for being 18 years old.

The scroll wheel is honestly the biggest reason I bought it too. What the fuck is up with every mouse having a shitty soft rubberized mouse wheel nowadays.

pic related - it feels like shit

get a g502

Gigabyte M7.

Cost me just over $20 and it's fantastic.

dell gaming mouse

Zowie looks bland as fuck, Razor looks edgy and stupid. Get Logitech for a nice balance of blandedge.

the case on zowie mice is shit and breaks easily, don't get one.

Make fun all you want, but this shit right here is the comfiest mice I've ever laid hands on. It was like $20 CAD on Amazon when I got it and
It's been amazing so far. If anyone is interested its the redragon centrophorus. Pretty sure you can find it between 15-17 USD.

G400s
Had it for almost 3 years, it's starting to double click occasionally, and the scrolling wheel sometimes scrolls when you touch it so you have to spin it a bit to fix it. Great mouse otherwise

it's not about comfort, it's about having a mouse with a decent sensor.

What's the recommended DPI?

G5 (blue one) > G500 > G700 > MX Master.
All of those have been comfortable. I really wanted to try the G502 and G900 but I just cant stand the new design of their gaming mouses.

Whatever feels best for you.

That mostly depends on your monitor resolution and how you move your mouse around.

Honest answer?

Logitech G502. That's it.

Logitech G402
Just got it. It replaced my Razer Abyssus which is still the best mouse Razer ever made in terms of ambidextrous design.

I got this for less than $10 about a year or so ago. There's a definitely better mice out there, but I like it

ec1a and ec2a have a better scroll wheel.

For 10 bucks that's probably a good deal but holy fuck is it ugly.

Who cares how it looks as long as it performs well, who are you trying to impress?

l33t lolz gaming mouze with 10000k ! dpi is what you need. More dpi = better mouse user!

Ok I am a total noob about Mice. I just need to know.

What's the difference between DPI and Sensitivity?

god forbid gaming be a pleasurable experience

It looks a little better in person.

>not paying $150 for a g900 and 10/10 mouse
wew

I play at 1800. I got used to it from work where faster movements actually made me more productive.

If you like moving your arm (not just the wrist) then 800DPI should suit you. If you are a wrist guy like me then 1800 or 2400 would do well.

DPI (dots per inch) is a measurement of how sensitive the sensor is.
Sensitivity is the setting in the game that together with your mouse DPI manage how fast your crosshair moves on screen.

>you SHOULD try a Mionix
ftfy

Anyone got a recommended mouse list?
there's one from Sup Forums but it's very outdated

Ok, so what's the difference if you have high DPI but low sensitivity? Doesn't that just cancel each other out if that happens?

Lol don't listen to any of these shitters telling you logitech or razer.

Logitech used to be good but their quality is shit these days and I hate the logitech mouse I have now. Razer and madcatz is literal garbage don't even think about giving your money to those jews.

Zowie is pretty much the best out there, I'd go with that or any comparable minimalist/high quality build optical mouse.

Any good mice out there with some macro keys on the side? Not a lot, but something I can bind things to when games go full retard with control schemes.

basically any model that uses a 3310 sensor and feels comfortable for you and covers the additions features you want will be perfectly fine - as long as you're using a black cloth mousepad at least because 3310 can be picky. i recommend looking into mionix they're great.

Yes. You use sensitivity to tweak depending on your DPI and preference.
Some games have shitty sensitivity options so it's pretty useful to have a mouse with adjustable DPI.

...

Been using the same DeathAdder 2010 version since march of 2010 and it's still going stronk. Wish it would die so I would have an excuse to buy something that matches the rest of my color theme

>ooh, my mouse hasn't shit the bed yet it's so great

do this if you want to shill your own shit people

So in the end it's actually just a gimmick?

Logitech g400 with the cable replaced with one from my old mx518. Much better and thicker.

It's not really a gimmick but too many clueless people seem to think that higher DPI is automatically better.

Esreality use to post a quarterly mouse thread with a tier list

No no, I meant gimmicks like, "this mouse has 10k DPI!" "this mouse has 12k though!" like that?

This is a bit off topic, but what's a decent keyboard I should pick up? I tried out my friend's mechanical keyboard (he said they were red switches) and when I pressed down I felt like they stopped too early. Basically what's a keyboard I can get without breaking bank? Also does anyone have that gif detailing the different switches?

Yeah, shit like 12k DPI is absolutely useless.

>this

Sensor's native.

That's not saying a lot zowie scrollwheels are dogshit

what's this supposed to show

I'm using that same mouse, and i love it. It's the best mouse ive used so far.

The only correct answer is a Zowie.

>the 303 is super comfortable

said literally no one ever

>caring how your mouse looks

spotted the 14 year old

I have been using the steelseries Xai for years now and it's pretty good, I'm using it on a cloth probably better on a hard mat. I have used razer mouses before and they break after a few months, do not buy.

Steelseries sensei raw, best and most comfy fucking mouse i've ever had

spotted the neet without friends or self steem

I'm having everything I thought I knew about jacking off on the internet questioned.

Best mouse coming through.

Had no problems with this mouse and I have it something over 2-3 years for like 20 bucks.

...

have it, too, it's pretty good.

shame about the gamer desgin, though.

Good ol' Razer Taipan, it's slick, very good movement/accuracy, rather cheap now and doesn't need the razer software to work

correct

no one is going to talk about it? lol

g300s, it's good and relatively cheap.

Fite me.

Forgot pic.

I don't like the scroll wheel's feel. Good overall though

whatever i can react faster with

800 is too slow

3100 is too fast

1600 is just fine

I really dislike the new Logitech logo.

g300 is just ok to me, not a fan of the buttons on the right, would have prefered then under my thumb

anything over 800 is for absolute retards

Logitech is for poorfags. Get this. Majority of Razer products suck hard but this is the best on the market.

You moron.

I'm rocking a Roccat Savu.
It's alright. Pretty comfy for me. Had it for about six years now.

Logitech G500 here. Once this one breaks (I know it never will) I will get a mouse with more thumb options. But other than that the mouse is perfect.

interesting. think someone who's never played any game like that before (other than Dota 2 for like 4k hours) could get into it?

Fuck off Razar shill. Deathadders break down after a year or two of use.

Why do you need more thumb options?

really? shit

fite me

Haha, funny. I was gone since I've made that post and just when I sat down you replied.

Well, you could still start Brood War, but it would be very rough.

The guides on liquipedia are pretty good.

wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft/Main_Page

But building up the muscle memory takes a lot of time and since mostly only vets play it you can expect to have a 5% winrate in your first 250 games or so. I'd suggest giving SC2 a shot instead, it's pretty much just as hard on the top level, but starting is a lot easier and it's not nearly as dead as people say it is.

fuck off

my first deathadder broke down after a year
then i bought into logitech because the mx518 was shilled back then, that one broke after half a year

my second deathadder lasted me for 5 years now

call of duty mice? really? gtfo
