Actually you can still cancel almost everything. Most of the stuff gets bigger time windows through levels but since nobody ever bothers to play the game instead of just complaining about it they wouldn't know.

Parrying is fucking garbage after they patched it so it didn't inflict Dizzy in a patch (again, to balance the fucking multiplayer), so now when you're getting ganked in a 3v1 in every single mission, parrying one character will just cause the other two to beat the shit out of you while you're in the recovery frames (of your parry, mind).

Jumping doesn't count, you goof. You can no longer actually chain combos together like in SK2/SV (combo > dash before launch > start combo again > repeat). It's also generally slower all around too.

Parry sucks ass in EV.

While it's true that leveling up helps brings things back to SV tier somewhat, it's really not enough. There's still a hardcap on the number of dashes you can do consecutively, parrying is still rewardless to pull off, movesets are still plagued with recovery frames that leave you completely open to attack, and enemies are given lots and lots of superarmor.
