Going to Gamestop soon for this and Guilty Gear today. I actually have the PS2 version but I never played it lol.

Got muh preorder, gamestop opens in 10 minutes, played both the original ps2 version and the psn one. Gonna have a good old time.

I tried to get into this game on PS2, but I remember the controls feeling really clunky and ended up disliking it. Does anyone know if they've smoothed this version out, at least to around Dragon's Crown's level?

Oh fuck you. Muramasa and Dragon´s Crown are fucking awesome. Dragon´s Crown only fault was the downtime between dungeon crawling and quest taking/loot handling/town navigation, unless you drank the SJW cool aid.

Muramasa: Rebirth was better than the original Odin Sphere, at least.

That they are just not as good as Odin Sphere. Dragon's Crown is boring to play by yourself and Muramasa is repetitive as fuck and gets really uninteresting in the story department halfway in the game. The limited types of swords hurts it too. Grimgrimoire has a ridiculous spike in difficulty even though the story was really interesting and gripping.

It felt like I was still playing the original one, I was still bored and still felt repetitive.

This. I really wanted to get into Dragon's Crown but I couldn't. Loved Muramasa to death though.

I had a ton of fun playing it with the random drop-in multiplayer, but it is really slow until the first tier of dungeons are cleared out and you can start hitting random areas in succession, with that fun risk/reward system. I really wish there was an option that let you do that right away on new characters if you've already beat the game once.

That is true, and I forgot to add that the story is really lacking, shame since the characters are brimming with uniqueness. You could in worst case, find someone to play with online.

Playing the Vita version right now. Game has slow downs dealing with crowds and attacks that hit multiple times in fast succession.
For instance, using a cyclone potion or Cornelius's Temptest against a mob.
Game is otherwise smooth besides that.

Plays the same on both, so just pick what suits you best.

How is the PS3 version of this? I don't know when I'll get a PS4, but I haven't found anything on the PS3 version's performance.

It plays like a dream. 1080p and minimal performance issues (significantly better than VIta)

I doubt it'll have problems performance wise. I tried the japanese version and it ran fine. Did not finish the game since I'm waiting for the english release.

I own both games on Vita and PS3 respectively, but I'd buy them again if they come to PC. So, not mad at all.
