Friendly reminder that Valve is the only company actively trying to kill gaming:
Valve... ...Convinced Bethesda to implement paid mods since they get a 30% cut of every transaction. ...will implement paid mods in the future, even if you want it or not despite the backlash. ...Introduced, popularized, and promote micro transactions in paid games because as I said earlier, they get a 30% cut of every transaction of games that aren't theirs, otherwise they get the full amount. ...lets the fans crowdfund the price pool in DotA 2 and CS:GO and takes 75% of the money for themselves. ...wants you to pay for incomplete games. ...avoids paying tax, contributing to U.S.A.'s shitty economy. ...didn't give refunds until EU forced them to implement it. ...limits the amount of refunds per month against the EU ruling claiming abuse if you make more than two refunds per three months. ...has been found guilty of violating and denying consumer rights in both EU and Australia.
>but muh steam Just because they made it easier to get games, it doesn't mean they aren't killing gaming.
>but muh ea killing gaming EA only makes shitty sequels to your childhood games with money making gimmicks learned from Valve.
>le EA/PRED shill EA, CP Projekt Red and the other companies are shit, but they aren't killing gaming like Valve.
What's the matter, Sup Forums? Having issues dealing with the ugly truth?
Matthew Scott
Agreed, valve and Bethesda have done the most harm to gaming in general.
Xavier Sullivan
We're just making so much money from these microtransactions, user. Why would we stop? Valve dindu nuffin.
Nolan Edwards
It actually looks like you're right OP, as much as I hate admitting it. Valve has always been my favorite game company for years. but in the last few, they have been doing some really questionable shit such as (Op's List).
Someone, please prove to me that valve is better than op is conveying me for it to be. Is there anything left to save Valve?
Angel Lee
Not even half life 3 would redeem them
Gabriel Martin
Half-Life 2 was ebin XDDD
Eli Rodriguez
when is the summer sale?
Jackson Wright
They would ruin it. I agree that it's better to just dump the Half-Life series at this point. Valve can make micropay multiplayer games if that's what they want.
Alexander Jenkins
The hell they have, COD4 caused all of this. It opened the door to normies. Normies are a big ol transmitter, contacting the rich kids, SJWs, and idiots. They got in to gaming, and now we get the Lesbian black Ex-man telling us all about shis rape through a walking simulator where for only £5 you can get two minutes on a segway.
Cameron Clark
All the distributors use their money to make more games. Meanwhile valve makes microtransactions.
Jayden Robinson
Counter Strike, Day of Defeat, Team Fortress and DOTA2 are all mods that became paid mods.
Josiah Hernandez
Play me in Dota?
Jason Cruz
That pic is my OC from when they pulled the paid mods bullshit.
Brody Young
Half life 2 was magical man, like legit. But man, the after-magic-glow from hl2 is slowly dying dude. I'm sure Im not the only one who can feel that.
Juan Barnes
Nice job! Got any other OC? Are you a certified meme maker?
Henry Torres
What I think is that Half-Life 3 at this point suffers from Duke Nukem Forever Syndrome. If it's released, I doubt it would meet the amount of hype. That said, judging from Portal 2, I doubt Valve won't do another forced co-op/multiplayer integration to justify a cash shop in a $50 game.
Matthew Barnes
Watch this video and try not to get too mad. The guy sounds like he's a kid, but he's in his mid 20's. youtu.be/mpCv12q6fFI
Brandon Flores
They have to, know why?
While everything else that goes into a video game has increased, the standard price for a game is still $60.
If they ever raised it to $80, people would flip their shit. So they resort to shamefulness via DLC, remakes, sequels, pandering , etc.
Cooper Allen
Duke Nukem forever wasn't a decent game that got panned because of hype. It was a huge piece of shit. Valve actually has the power to make HL3 good.
>if I post in an ironic manner, maybe he won't notice how mad I am
Ian Howard
Why does Valve even need so much income if they don't make games?
Jaxon James
I don't think so, most of their core game developers left since they stopped making games.
Hudson Ward
I actually agree with your list and opinion. As a dota 2 player i feel ashamed of people who pay/give money to valve for a mod. They did nothing but ruin the game even further , they dont care about community moderation (there´s a reason as to why is the most cancerous of them all) and they ruining the integrity of the game in favor of hats and cometics (See updates that kill fps , bugs , "Source 2") >inb4 moba/assfaggots.
Angel Wright
>yfw I wasn't being ironic and I just don't talk to people much
Lincoln Peterson
It all goes into gabens stomach. They are attempting to create a singularity.
Hunter Wilson
Oh Internet Aristocrat, I know him. I watched his video during the start of the feminist bullshit in videogames, when that whore fucked 5 nu-males to get a good review for her garbage text simulator
Ayden Wilson
I've watched prices increase, on triple A, anyway. Used to be 39.99. Then 44.99. Soon enough it'll creep up to 49.99. What they don't realise is that the more the increase the price the less sales they will get, so they increase the price to make up the cash. Drop the prices to 34.99 and they'd see more sales.
Jose Mitchell
I hope that's not true. I don't want GabeN to be the villain. He might be.
Isaiah Myers
Oy vey!
Jaxson Bailey
The best part about people who still have Valve Stockholm Syndrome is that they never actually analyzed the metagame, learned how it worked, then realized how bad Valve fucked it up with 6.82 and every shitty 2-interns-reading-reddit-for-balance-ideas patch after that.
I mean sure let's take a game that's a logistics nightmare and completely rework the economy to favor braindead mongoloids while assuring them that they're still golden gods of Dota and get to talk down to you like you're nothing. *picks Slark and auto-wins every pub game*
Like, outside of just copping ideas from reddit, I'm pretty sure 90% of the game's balance is just to sell more hats on the hot grills.
That said, at least Lina is still a fucking hot babe. No pun intended. Screw QoP though, bitch looks like my mom.
Charles Scott
The recent patches just made the game even more "beginner friendly" just to put it in light terms. The pub scene is a disaster. and its only going to get worse. What i hate the most is that valve shamelessly hides features that were free before (Winter map on Winter season) and put a fucking paywall to enable , yet its not even yours to use whenever you like. it expires after the season ends. and now this new ranked bracket for people that pay is ridiculous for letting you change your real ranked points after the season ends and its going to further ruin matchmaking in the long run. I refuse to pay for stuff thats on my gamefiles thats why i mod the maps in
Samuel Walker
June 23rd, lasts two weeks.
Adam Wood
And this is bad, how?
Carson Jackson
I don't see why people hate Valve. Microtransactions has definitely made gaming for the better.
Adrian Ward
i had to quit dude
literally a 'roaming support' (who's really a carry) or a 'jungle support (who's really a carry) every game and I'm left to either pick a support or play full retard 5 core dota and get reported for it by the resident tristack of cock sucking romanians.
NO
FUCKING THANK YOU
Noah Rogers
hahahahahahahahaha
Jacob Sullivan
>Microtransactions has definitely made gaming for the better.
Gavin Davis
you're either really drunk or just desperate for (you)s
Adrian Johnson
No, I'm serious, it allows companies to earn more money for the games they make and by that allowing for more higher quality games.
Jason James
>Micro transactions >for the better
Jose Wilson
I'm fine with Valve killing physical media.
Gabriel Allen
HAHAHA
Angel Robinson
