Now that the dust has settled can we all agree this is the best Total War since Attila?
Total Warhammer
shit game
edgy
4(you)
t. sonycuck
Yeah
Still lots of races missing and lots of places to add and improve.
It gets stale very easily at this point. This game needs support and DLC
>They simplified the campaign in a good way and made the best battles the series had in a long time
shit, didnt mean to greentext
>magic is shit
>buildings and towns with no walls are shit
>no formations is shit
>too few races is shit
>agent spamrape is shit
>balance in online is shit
The rest is good
hoping for a decent discount on the summer sale but i don't really expect more than 25% off. probably won't get it until it's at most $30.
so i can't really judge yet. but best since attila? sure.
>magic is shit
Magic is pretty fun tho m8
I usually end up just commanding my bright wizard in battles and getting like 200+kills with him
It's the only Total War since Attila
>Can we agree it's the best Total War since the last Total War
Only insofar as it wasn't as shit as Attila. Total War games have been pretty much garbage since Empire.
How? You play on unit size small or something?
The fact that a 980 is needed for above 60 fps on 1080p is retarded. And the lack of sli is even more retarded. I have 2 980's and a 1440p monitor but I cant even put them to use without shit fps
Blame nvidia's drivers, not the game
I get silky smooth ultra 60fps 1440p with a rx 380
What CPU you got? I get around 45 fps on high 1080p, less in siege battles with the same card.
It's pretty shallow right now with so few races so far, will be far better with all the race DLCs added to make the world feel more "populated"
But undeniably this is probably the most bug-free, stable, optimized, balanced Total War launch I have ever played since Rome 1 came out (for newfags, Rome 1 and Medieval 2 had horrible launches full of desktop crashes, bugged movement, unbalanced units and AI freezes that got fixed in patches)
The fact that I'm playing a Total War game a few weeks after launch with few bugs is unbelievable.
i5 3570k
Huh, okay. I have i5 4690k. What the fuck did you do to get the game run so well?
He doesnt. This is bait.
Did you check the box to unlimit video memory in graphics options?
its pretty good, needs more content though, the only reason I am playing this and not attila is that I already have >1k hours in attila, and none of the big mods for it are out yet
Bullshit
THIS
There is less content than previous TW games at release, but it is really well polished compared to what I am accustomed to.
The maps look great, too.
Yeah, I figured.
Nope, it's unchecked. Should it be checked?
I'm glad to hear it, i'll make sure to pick it up at Christmas with all the DLC and patches at half the price.
There are less races, but they're interesting races with varied playstyles, at least. Just 5 of them is worth more than 10 factions whose differences are that one of them has slightly stronger spears etc
Yes, it should. It isn't ticked on by default but it should be. It will radically improve your FPS
Mannfred best LL
>towns with no walls
you have to build them you lazy nigger tier 2 guard house gives the settlement walls.
Reminds me a bit of Shogun 2 in that regard
>>magic is shit
>get light wizard
>shoot basic spell at giant
>it does like 20% per wave with 5s CD and 6 mana cost
>2-3 dead giants per match from one bearded little cunt
Shit as in it's not fun to use and the visuals suck donkey arse. Wheter it is powerful or not depends on the spell, balance is all over the place.
Magic is very strong on smaller unit settings. The problem is that it's balanced around normal unit sizes and doesn't scale up to Ultra which is where everyone actually plays.
And some of them do look pretty cool. I prefer dorfs however, so I don't do much magickin
I'd say it's the best TW since M2.
The series was stagnating and dying, Warhammer revived it with the best AI, no more tedious campaign bloat, and actual diversity in units and factions.
I haven't dropped below 70fps yet with everything maxed out and a 970
