What you just posted is the unnamed(known as Minato Arisato in the manga, and Makoto Yuki in the animated movies) protagonist character of Persona 3, known as Shin Megami Tensei(True Goddess Reincarnation) Persona 3 in the west, in the middle of summoning his Persona(mystical beings that awaken from people's inner minds) with his evoker(gun shaped object that awakens the user's persona in Persona 3). Nowhere in this image is anything related to Shin Megami Tensei depicted, though called Shin Megami Tensei Persona 3 in the west, this was done out of brand recognition, the games can be considered a spinoff of Shin Megami Tensei, as the original Persona was known as Megami Ibunroku Persona(Goddess' Odyssey: Persona) in Japan, Ibunroku being a title given to certain spinoffs. However, this was dropped from the 2nd game onward, to differentiate the two series, as they are made by different teams, the Persona team being a younger group trying to reach a wider audience.
