Zelda ALBW is the best game in the system.
Bravely Default is a must play if you like JRPGs and like FF5 and FFT's job system.
Monster Hunter.
Btw. do you happen to be in Europe?
yes, i do. why?
>buy n3ds
>upper screen has a greenish noticeable tint
what the fuck nintendo
I heard freakyforms is a pretty good game. It sells for a lot used too
Because there is currently a sale going on, on the eshop. It's mostly Nintendo's VC games plus a couple of indies. I'd recommend getting Gunman Clive if you're into oldschool run and gun games/platformers. It's even cheaper than it usually is and a pretty good indie game. There is also at least one Atlus JRPG 50% off.
When are the summer sales gonna start up? I remember some 3ds games being sold for $15 last year and the year before there was a BOGO for certain 3ds games
get chronno trigger right now from the nintendo e shop RIGHT NOW
word of advice, don't hack it
after you have every game for free you'll realize how much you don't want to play any of them
ah, i see. thanks. sadly can't access it right now because i will only get it in 1-2 days but i'll take a look at it if the sale is still going on then.
This explains why a majority of Sup Forums hates video games. Thy steal everything and then have to justify stealing them so they bitch about everything.
kid icarus
albw
res evil origins
fire emblem
smash
i thought about hacking it because i used to do it all the time when i was younger. skimmed the guide and it looked doable but i really just can't be bothered with modding consoles nowadays anymore.
i know what you mean though. still have probably over 200 ps2 games laying around.
>Thy steal everything and then have to justify stealing them so they bitch about everything.
that wasn't my point at all faggot
It'll go on for a couple of weeks and you should take advantage of it if you want to replay NES and GB games. Titles like the GB Zelda games rarely get discounts and they are 50% off right now.

They're all god tier games, kill yourself for having shit taste.
>no Kid Icarus Uprising
Terrible recommendation list. Delete it right now.
it's not noticeable on a photo, but on white colors is annoying as fuck
It's literally the first game on the list.
You can always try to contact nintendo's customer support and ask if you can send it in to get the top screen replaced since you are unhappy with it.
Some people have had luck getting top screens exchanged on new3ds systems.
Fuck off retard
damn thanks user
I was scared of getting fucked by nintendo's customer support
I'll try and see what happens

Xenoblade Chronicles if you love JRPGS. Its great, really long and surprisingly alright story.
First post best post, as usual.
wanna hear me and give me your opinion
No thanks user Im good, you're better off saving those tears for the customer support rep.
Nope. Hacking my 3ds was one of the best fucking things I have ever done in my life, and I'm not even joking. I love playing it even more now that I have every NDS/3DS/GBA game on it. I play it every day, everything works perfectly, you can play online, and it is so beautiful. I just went through tales of the abyss. I'm also one of those "it don't feel right" but on 3ds it so does
do you need any extra equipment other than a card reader for hacking it?
also how the fuck is nintendo not stopping it? i heard that you can even download games directly from their shop for free or something?
Depends on the firmware. 10.5 and under can be done with free exploits, 10.6/10.7 require a game exploit and possibly a powersaves/friend with a hacked system. On 11.0 you can't hack it without a hardmod.
Nintendo fucked up by not tying eshop downloads to an account, so someone who pirated the download ticket for a game can't be distinguished from a legit owner.
>he missed out on the GBA
Go play through that library first. Greatest handheld of all time to be desu.
I would help you but I don't have Internet and I'm on a phone. But yes you need an sd card, prefer 64gb that's all you need, and that's it. Then look up Luma/aurienand 3ds guide, because that's the best whatever you can get on it, it used to be called a9lh. And I'm telling you, hacking a 3ds isn't like anything else. It's perfection and you'll take care of it and rock it to sleep every night
>On 11.0 you can't hack it without a hardmod.
so if you buy one now it will surely already be at 11.0+, right?
No, the newest firmware I've heard 3DS' coming with is 10.5 for the european Fire Emblem Fates model.
No they are all 10.5 enjoy
>also how the fuck is nintendo not stopping it
They managed to with 11.0 since it now has a minimum version check which is hardcoded, so unless a kernel hack is found you can't do it unless you're 10.7 or under.
The way the normal hacks work is that you have your original NAND(The System NAND, what you see when you boot up the system) on the exploitable firmware(In this case 9.2) and then you have a copied version of the original NAND(EmuNAND, essentially just an emulated 3DS running on top of the original firmware). Anything you do on the copied version is separate from the actual system, so when you boot into it it can be on 11.0 while your original firmware on the original portion of the system is 9.2.
The other hack is A9LH which works in such a way that it blocks anything Nintendo could do to overwrite the actual hack itself while still letting you be on the latest firmware and any firmwares succeeding it. It goes one step further in even letting you restore a 1:1 NAND backup in case anything ever does happen and goes wrong.
Nintendo security is complete garbage, all the servers for the eShop do is ask for an encrypted key and then you gain access to the download. There's no check of an account since you don't need an account of any kind to buy anything, everything is tied to the console itself so they could put games on it digitally without having to worry and then sell them as a bundle.
grats m8 you just got the best console ever created.
currently enjoying popolocrois and looking forward to robobot. new style savvy looking fun as fuck, and MH Generations mite b cool.
enjoy.
>tfw can't play monster hunter for too long because my hands start to hurt
Fuck me, I either grip that shit too hard without realizing or years of computer and gaming are finally getting to me. Time to end it I guess
What do you play on? Old or New 3DS?
that sounds fucking retarded on nintendo's part, holy shit.
this all sounds far too good to be true for me though. no chance of a brick, no detection because there are no accounts, load games directly from their servers? insane
3DS XL
Why do people buy consoles without researching games they want for it?
You should get a Circle Pad pro, it will feel nicer in your hands.
>no chance of a brick
There's a chance if you go for A9LH since you have to go to a deprecated firmware(Or in the N3DS and 2DS, a firmware they never used which means if you go into sleep mode or forgot to enable online it's essentially bricked), flash it to your SysNAND(Which is what can cause a brick), grab your OTP, and then you reflash the SysNAND with a backup you made. Since you have no ability to restore a backup at that point without a hardmod if anything fails it will brick, but the chance is so low it's almost negligible.
If you don't plan on getting A9LH there's 0% chance since the downgrader has been more or less perfected.
i bought it because i already know that i want to play ~10 games (obviously knowing that the library is huge). can't know every single game though.
How do I git gud at SMT IV. I read that a phys/gun build is best in the long run.
so which of the 2 hacks is the recommended one? are there any big differences in usability?
Yeah, I might when Cross comes out. I played fine for hours on end on the psp, the claw felt right, 3DS I can't seem to find a good grip for it
The default choice requires you to set up Menuhax on your SysNAND so that you autoboot into your CFW on EmuNAND.
Its problems are that
>It's very spotty in actually succeeding to boot into the EmuNAND
Maybe 60% of attempts will actually boot into it, every time it fails you need to hard reset the console and try again and will eventually drive you nuts because of it.
>It's still possible for you to accidentally update the SysNAND
For example, a relative gets your 3DS
>Every time you enter system settings on EmuNAND it will boot you back into SysNAND
>1-2GB of your SD card is taken up just by the extra EmuNAND
>You have to unlink your firmwares to prevent NNID issues(So you use TinyFormat on your SysNAND)
>You have to install onto both Sys and Emu if you want to run DSi games at all
>DS games don't work but I think that was fixed by now.
You do get the benefit of it basically being a second DS that you can constantly restore NAND backups in case something goes wrong and you can run different region 3DS firmwares on EmuNAND if you want as well.
A9LH's benefits over it are
>1-2GB freed up due to no need for an EmuNAND.
>Does everything on SysNAND
>Lets you restore NAND backups on SysNAND so bricking is now a non issue.
>Lets you update without worry since it patches any updates Nintendo could do to the hack.
>Instantly loads like a stock console instead of needing to wait 20 seconds for Menuhax to work its magic.
>Can still run EmuNANDs and even autoboot into them if you want without needing to wait through Menuhax failures or load times.
>Patches TWL_Firm and AGB_Firm so you can play DSi and GBA games no problem on it.
Keep in mind A9LH has a small risk of bricking(Extremely small but still there), and it's a bit risker on N3DS and 2DS than on an O3DS because 2.1 never existed or was meant to work on those systems.
thanks man
Playing through it now. Fuck gun. ST, LU and AG is all you need. MAG is optional.
Id suggest finding a controller grip for it.
Basicly makes it feel like an xbox controller and is prtty comfy.
The one i have even has triggers for the shoulder buttons below the console.
Etrian Odyssey IV
Kid Icarus Uprising
Fire Emblem Fates
Shin Megami Tensei IV Apocalypse when that one comes out
>ST
Don't fuck with him. Dex is always better in IV.
>no Legend of the Dark Witch 1 and 2
It's shit.
Get an R4 for starters so you can play all the great DS games you missed for free. You got a lot of catching up to do. With that in mind, get The World Ends With You and Radiant Historia for starters. Those are two of the best rpgs on the DS.
They're on there though.
>Suikoden Tierkreis
>not worth getting
Such an ignorant opinion. The dub is horrible but the game is fantastic. Someone made an undubbed version with proper japanese voice sync. It's kinda hard to find the right version but if OP's interested you can get it here:
epforums.org
Depends on what you like.
Since I like comfy games that are relaxing, and I was a die-hard pokefan since childhood, naturally my first purchases were pokemon Alpha Sapphire and Pokemon X. Then I got animal crossing new leaf, fantasy life and story of seasons, and some megaman games. Also purchased bravely default and yokai watch after enjoying them in demo. Oh and there is a discount on mynintendo for Xenoblade Chronicles X so I purchased that, hope it wasn't money wasted.
I have my nintendo registered as UK. Why the hell am I not seeing the sales yet?
Is there any other way to play GBA/DS games other than using those flash cards(?). Like emulating them within the 3DS
If you were a fan of Suikoden, it was an insult to the franchise. If it was just a random game you played, you might have liked it.
DS, no, and it won't be possible unless someone figures out how they worked with Warioware Twisted.
GBA you just edit an Ambassador cia(and many people have uploaded their edits).
>hating steam
ok
>mfw finally installed A9LH and freeshop
I feel like a king right now.
