But they got cold feet messing with her at all since she's so tied to this custom move gimmick, and you can tell she only is in because Sakurai had an idea for her as the custom representative. The writing in those Palutena's Guidance conversations can be pretty crappy. With Kid Icarus Uprising the Treehouse had complete freedom, but it's apparent that in Smash 4 they were just directly translating everything that time around.

Yes a planet the game spends no time developing. Most of Uprising is about characters and when it's not about the individual gods, generals, or magnus, it's about how shitty humans are.
This plot point is built entirely around how much the player wants to fuck Palutena and if you don't then it just falls apart.
I like the gameplay of uprising but Christ I'd rather play it on mute.
