Im poor, I havent gotten anything other than that free game.

Well, have you atleast played it yet?

Im too busy, probably on the weekend.

Nothing.

No reason to use GoG until they offer Cloud Saves + more fucking games that I didn't already play 20 years ago.

I feel like a girl in a shoe store.

>DRM-Free
But I already play DRM free games on Steam.

What makes the GoG client so special?

I'm just going to post it before someone comes in here and starts arguing against this for some reason.

pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/The_Big_List_of_DRM-Free_Games_on_Steam

Steam games use Steam DRM, except for a handful of games.

You don't even need the GoG Client to download/play the games.

>GoG
>paying for games with applied cracks and fan fixes

>buying bloodlines

You only need to install the client once to get the free game, just uninstall when you're done.

Might and Magic 1-6, Wizardry 6-8, Age of Decadence, Underrail(as a gift), SS2(for free), JA2, and King of Dragon Pass. SEND HELP

I know. I hate myself for that, but I couldn't resist.

Ị͒̾̈c̤͛̈e̳̲͎͙̠̠̎ ̶̴̠̼̣͗͛ͫ͑͊ͬ͌c̬̮̹̙̙̻ͭ̏͂͒͑͡ͅr̸̟̙̘̙͚̼̱ͯ͑̑̍̍̎͜e̶ͩ̾͂̄҉͖̞̼̰ą͍̗̘̥͉̣̿̉͛͗m̨͙̳̳ͧͯ͐̔ͮ̈́̚?̡͇̲͔̊̿ͯ͋͆́ͯ!̼̗̣͆̾ͪ̐͌ͪ̏́͝

>Might and Magic 1-6
Was it even on sale? I was thinking of buying it but it didn't seem to have a reduced price.

>not supporting based Activision

like clockwerk

>Based Activision
This better be b8

explain why i should pay gog instead of pirate games on torrents

they really are tryharding to become another steam

It's not but I got it dor 10 bucks earlier. I actually got it before the sale started but I counted it anyways since it was recent. Having a blast with 6 and I was enjoying 4-5 but I got some weird crashing error I need to fix.

Why bother if you're just gonna pirate anyway?

>steam summer sale in two weeks
>our games are getting casualized
>the sales are getting casual as well
No daily or flash, all games at max discount from day one.

...

i actually use steam and not pirate nowadays, was just asking

If people buy the game, that increases the odds of getting another game because it shows that the title still garners interest

you do want another one, right user?

Actually gog installers are pretty popular on pirating sites for their ease of use. No bullshit attached.

Should've bought a good troika game instead

Those are all shitty games

Maybe to pay devs for a game and to not be a cunt? I dunno.

I got dying light

Think about those who can't participate! Sales are a discrimination that should be stopped! Prices must be equal and constant for everyone forever!

If it had the same writers and artists behind it or ones on par, sure.

Also it's not really a secret the game still has a cult around even after 12 years.

I have bought all of them anyway.

>No daily or flash, all games at max discount from day one.
Blame refunds.

Nothing. After the steam / gog agreement I feel like I should hold off

>Populous 3
I should just buy it already, my penis always gives a little twitch when that game is mentioned.

Lands of Lore series (1 2 3)
System Shock Enhanced Edition
Deus Ex GOTY
Got Spelunky and Gabriel Knight for free

Deus Ex and LoL 2&3 were purely for the nostalgia, I'd never done Throne of Chaos and SS1 before. I was a huge fan of Gabriel Knight back in the day though, so I was happily surprised to see that I could have it for free.

fuck that shit, what I hate seeing is worse prices and shitty discounts

>sale 2 months ago
>game was -60% off
>"oh it will probnably cheaper enxt sale I can wait I have other games to play"
>new sale
>same game is -50% off
>"fuck me"

they can keep their shit

Why?

Lands of Lore is the one with Patrick Stewart, right?

>Pharaoh not on sale

1,000+ deals and of course the one I want isn't discounted.

Yeah, apparently he plays King Richard.

>want to get JA2 and Thief series because I've heard good things but never actually played them myself to see if I like them

I've got time to demo them though.

>want to hold on out to see if GOG connect will have Deus Ex GOTY later on

I don't wanna double dip but I don't think Square Enix will allow it to be connectable.

Thief 2 is probably my favorite game. Seriously GOAT

>Emperor still not on GOG

What the fuck is keeping them?

dem low low prices

I'm glad GoG are preserving old games. If it was left up to the money counters a lot more stuff would be lost

...

Jewing abadonware*
Fixed that for you.
If you're not pirating games from defuct companies you're literally retarded

whats the chance of a discount for Underrail?

they work on compatibility patches for some games, plus the manual pdf scans are pretty good

those wizardry games ate a lot of my time in the stone age

No, they don't. They apply fan made fixes that are freely available for everyone

At least is not on Steam

Whatever, man.

Fuck your coffin, I've got my discs right next to me.

Door Kickers
But I like more Breach and Clear. The interface and pseudo real time is quite confusing.

...

>GOG has a sale
>All the games with a 90% reduction are now being sold for what the base price should be for this ancient abandonware

>abandonware
I love how retards keep spewing this word. There's a few actual abandonware titles on GOG. All of them are free. Please, fuck off.

I love how retards keep spending $10 on 25 year old games

How does gog give money to dead companies?

>buying pirated games

Are you really that dumb, user? Not many games go abandonware. Most of them still have companies who own these titles.

So it's the same as buying VtMB and giving money to Activision?
Why would you give money to companies that didn't have any direct input in the development of the games?

the russian VPN i was using kept declining my cards so I'm just pirating the games I was going to buy

nice work gog

some retards do, my friend

Now that's a whole different story. Games like this are being sold everywhere, not only on GOG. Even when you buy a relatively new title it doesn't guarantee that devs will receive money.
So in the end it's just a matter of collecting games on your account. Cheaper than collecting Amiibo, anyway.

>What did you get so far, Sup Forums?
Nothing.I am broke and i already have SS2 bought from a previous sale.

GOG doesn't have a varied enough library for me to get anything. I pretty much almost exclusively play Japanese games, and GOG's library is extremely lacking in that regard. The few that I'm interested in that are there aren't even on sale.
I'm currently waiting on the Steam sale since it actually has a library. I really wish GOG would open itself up more and devs would be more willing to release their games DRM free. Its a problem on both fronts, I'm pretty sure. I've heard tell of GOG rejecting games.

not everyone can be at their computer at least once every 8 hours.

Also, refunds aren't free for Valve.

Also, go fuck yourself faggot. Buying shit isn't a fucking video game.

>doesn't own Kero Blaster already

Look at this shit-eating casual and laugh

Buying old games on GoG is kinda silly since for the most part the money doesn't go to the original devs, and sometimes not even the same publisher, it's just some company nabbing old IPs. Why would you seriously want to reward those guys.

galaxy requires windows 7.1?? are they retarded?
there is literally no reason for it to not work on win7

Is that a One Way Heroics sequel? When was this announced?

blog.us.playstation.com/2016/05/16/mystery-chronicle-one-way-heroics-journeys-to-ps4-ps-vita-this-year/
Was added to Steam yesterday.

Call me when the real summer sale starts, not this wannabe shit.

>No daily or flash
I see that as a positive, actually. I don't have to refresh the Steam store page every eight hours or every day just to get disappointed by another set of garbage deals and garbage games.

With the current setup, I can get disappointed on day one and go about my business as usual.

What are some good games on sale?

>buying shit isn't a fucking video game
Valve turned buying shit into a game ages ago. You had one event where randomly assigned teams were competing over how much shit they bought. You had a prior event where buying and playing certain games would get you drops you could use to get games.

likely
at least between this and the inevitable steam sale, it'll show up

Oh boy, 20 year old abandonware for sale

>not everyone can be at their computer at least once every 8 hours.

Who doesn't have a smartphone these days? It takes a minute to check the flash sales.

Planescape Torment. Anything I need to know before I jump in?

Client is optional, you can still download the installer for all games from their website.
Rollback, you can still go back to the previous version after you update
manual updating instead of automatic updates

I like GOG, because it's the best alternative (right now it's limited compared to steam, but has had years to get a headstart) to steam and I don't want a total steam monoply in digital distribution

Why would you use a russian VPN? To confirm you are a fucking subhuman?

Grabbed Victor Vran, Jade Empire, and Planescape Torment so far.

waiting for BG1 EE to come on sale

Great, we're back

I'll most likely get the Monkey Island games, the Dig and Sam and Max hit the road. Waiting for Gothic to hopefully go on sale.

I'm also looking into getting some more city/base builders. Already have Caesar/Pharaoh/Zeus, Evil Genius, Startopia and Rollercoaster Tycoon (I count it), and I have Tropico on Steam. Looking into the Anno games but uncertain about them, Any suggestions?

have they fixed homeworld remastered yet?

gearboxsoftware.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/205281840-Homeworld-Remastered-Collection-Update-Information

Yes they did. Formations work, ballistics are back in, new stance system and everything.

Patch was 5GB, they pretty much redid the game logic.

Anno games are pretty awesome, get them all while you can!

No point for that shit when everyone is just going to refund their shit to save the extra $1.50 from their game of choice going 10% more on sale.

>not everyone can be at their computer at least once every 8 hours

you say that as if you think its insane, but that sounds pretty reasonable

also flash sales are usually on shitty meme games anyway so who cares if you miss that

Didn't see this thread before creating my own, so I'll just repost it in here.
I got Grim Dawn and I'm having tons of fun with it so far.
Post collections!

>steam
>paying for games that wont launch at all and you have to look for fixes on the internet
I just want to play max payne 1 and 2

maybe TW3 and expansion stuff since i bought the other 2 on gog
