>You believe you defeated the boss and celebrate

FFFUUUUUUUUUUU.

>final level
>goes on for like an hour
>nearly two thousand enemies
>half the enemies are kleers

>long ass boss fight
>finally beat it, filler time
>make your niece the wrong omelet
>reload you save and fight the boss again to get her the omelet she deserves

>Boss
>Has multiple healthbars

>Final boss
>Lasts almost an entire third of the game through all the phases

>Rest of the game is fairly simple
>Final boss is stupid hard
Every fucking Megaman X game

>Fight Yiazmat in Final Fantasy 12
>It goes on for nearly a day

READY TO SEE IT IN SUPER HIGH DEFINITION, GUYS?

>Hidden boss is a much more aggressive version of the final boss from MMZ3

God damn, Omega Zero in MMZX does not hold back.

>Poke him with pellets from far away
>Win

I mean, maybe I went in a bit overprepared since I trained in ZX Advent beating almost every boss in human/reploid form, but Omega wasn't THAT bad.

I actually found Model W to be harder than O.

Eh, I didn't use any lemons against him, I just went pure melee in Zero form. It didn't feel fun constantly keeping a distance and just spamming lemons.

>boss has an attack that randomly targets your party and does multiple hits
>cam therefore target your entire larty
>each hit has a good chance to inflict Death
>can be used at any time and consecutively

True, the Omega Fight is supposed to be fought in melee range, but remember exactly WHO you're fighting, and remember exactly why the fight is so hard if you do that.

You're fighting a glitched out maniacle version of the single most skilled reploid in the world, and his weapon of choice was a sword. No shit if you play to HIS strength, shit gets hard.

Half of the Biometal Forms had a decent ranged attack and could fuck him up hard, but if you go in ZX form, you're asking for a bad time, even if it's arguably the most fun way to fight him.

Most games that have bosses like that have an obscene amount of ways to prevent such things. You can be a mongoloid and stack death resistance, or play the game to its strengths and just stack buffs before comboing the boss to death.

What you're describing is almost without a doubt a turn based RPG, and the boss you're describing is probably post-game and phase based. Just stack buffs, learn cheese methods, then recieve your win.

Turn based games are math problems, they have no difficulty.

Maybe I just sucked and was underleveled, but when I finally beat Ansem at the end of KH1, it took me about an hour. Probably like a day of playtime if I count all the times I died. Dunno why it was so hard then, I got him on the first try when I got 1.5 and played through.

>tfw there will never be a fight like this

What year is it?

> game encourages stealth the entire way through
> most enemies are pretty weak
> final boss is full action
> extremly agessive with multiple forms
> 100s of times more health than anything else in the game
> even with all weapons at max level you will likely need to buy ammo with the overpriced PDA
> on NG+ it's even worse

Fuck you Secret Agent Clank, and your Developer Tree House that was still in beta and crashed the game half the time.

I'm not saying he's hard in general, just trying to state that he was a more of a challenge in comparison to his original version in MMZ3. Although, he did give me a rough time when I playing MMZX at 10 or 11 years of age.

I don't think we'll ever get a fight like this in any game in general. The closest we'll get to this fight, is some sort of QTE.

Quick Time Events aren't that bad if they're mixed into actual combat.

I think the first game to ever actually Nail QTE's being a welcome addition (if not at least a bit broken) was Kingdom Hearts 2.

Bravely Second, not even that complex man.

I just had to go back in with an item that prevents Death on my healer. Just an annoying "fuck you" from the devs to deal with.

>Final Boss of Persona 3 is long as fuck
>Last phase uses a move that gives random ailments
>1 Party member is confused
>Proceeds to fully heal the Final Boss
>Back to square one and keeps final phase attacks

Always get equipment that can null Confused ailment. That's my advice before you play P3.

My god. An actual videogame thread?

JUST

>final boss is just a shell.
>you have to destroy the core before it regens.
>shell can heal itself.

Only the final phase is fully healed.

>play a level
>have plans in about 30 minutes
>see a hidden part/cave/room
>eh, might just be a chest or something inside
>It's a ridiculously hard secret boss fight you miraculously gotten all the prerequisites for
>haven't saved in 6 hours

Does people really like to fight a boss for 20-30 minuites on a mmorpg jus to maybe wipe at minute 25 and need to restart everything?

>boss has 1024 health bars

fucking MMO's

>final boss fight
>it's a qte

>Final boss fight
>Is 5 minutes long

>sidequest
>requires four hours of continuous play with no saves in between

>kingdom hearts 2 ending sequence

even X1?

>final boss fight
>it's a qt p

>Final Boss is a joke because of elemental nullifier skills
>Bonus boss makes the final boss look like a sissy
But hey at least the final boss theme is pretty fucking great.

>Final boss is never ever the true final boss

Super Metroid.
The final boss was really fun and over the top, but after you just got done unloading every single missile and super missile on Ridley, it seems even easier than it is

X1 wasn't as bad as every other X game, since you could refill all your tanks before the fight started and never game over.

X3 was probably the worst Sigma.

Patapon 2, and it wasn't even the final boss.

>some poor souls have only seen the new shitty Sailor Kek
>they think it's the best thing ever
I can't handle my autism with this.

Yeah Ansem is pretty easy. I must admit that when I was a kid I played KH2 all the way up to Xigbar without equipping any abilities/items/keyblades.

D'oh

Wonderful 101.

I was playing around 1 am and only had the boss left. I figured that I could beat it quickly and go to bed. I probably didn't sleep until 3 or 4 am.

That boss was fucking nuts

>final boss transforms 2 times
>when you think you've beat the final boss, the real final boss shows up and kills him
>have to fight the real final boss now

>in the middle of bossfight
>cant save
>it's beddy bye bye time

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

>Final boss fight
>Over in ten minutes

...

This happened to me anytime I played pokemon. Can't do shit in the middle of a battle

>final boss spins you right round baby right round like a record baby going right round round

>boss fight an hour long

Ha! Fucking casuls!
