Things you look for in a videogame

What are some things you look for in a videogame?
>satisfying gunplay
>smooth mouse controls
>physics that integrates with the gameplay
>good soundtrack

Reloading twice for an extra bullet in the chamber.

>diversity
>minority protagonist
>more minorities
>less whites
>gay people
>trans people

cute animal characters

>exeter
Get that shit out of here, exeter deserves to burn.

Exeter is fine you jaggoff

t. wgfag

fuck the 224, 250 and 227 though

>exeter is fine
>wanting half your gun being made in separate countries
>and it has rust
>the only way to remove the rust is to pay an extra 400$ for a fucking anchor

>What are some things you look for in a videogame?
Guns that I own if its a shooter.
A decent character creator, or characters that are silent.
Atmosphere.
Solid mechanics, nothing feels "cheap."
Controls do what you expect them to. No noticeable delay between input and action, no twitchy mouse support.
Length of the game is definitely a big factor, same with replay value.

The problem is Ron Cohen.
He has driven the SIGSAUER brand into the ground, and only in recent years have the falling sales convinced him to turn corporate strategy around and start producing premium products to reinvigorate the brand.
They still outsource small parts production to every asshole of the earth country out there. Controls, grip screws, and main hammer springs are all notorious for displaying surface rust NIB.

quality menus and hud

Good gameplay

revolvers

Secrets and Easter Eggs.

>satisfying gunplay
Why do i feel like this is some corporate bullshit word made to sell calls of dutys?

>They still outsource small parts production to every asshole of the earth country out there.

This bothered me, bought some grips made in Israel, short trigger made in India, I don't know why. And I completely agree with about Ron Cohen, he's kimberfying Sig and it shows on the 226 catalog.

tbqh, I may sell my 226 and get a Glock 19 desu. Not really feeling it. I will say, the Legion line is worth the money but as for every new Exeter sig, not so much.

Speaking of Sigs, why does every single shooter fail to properly animate DA/SA hammers? I can't think of a single game apart from MGS2 that does it. Even games made in 2015/16 don't bother with it

Ubisoft pls go

Because no cod has ever had satisfying gunplay?

Again it shows, weeb posters don't know jack shit about what they're talking about and should just stop posting.

>Speaking of Sigs, why does every single shooter fail to properly animate DA/SA hammers?

Little things like this always baffle me, especially when studios brag about hiring firearms "experts" and they still get some things incredibly wrong. If such a thing really exists, then I think being a self proclaimed firearm expert is probably the easiest bullshitting job there is.
The people you're advising have no idea whether or not you're right, so you can tell them just about anything.

>7 elite soldiers shooting at you
>don't die or get injured

meanwhile in CoD, 1 enemy on veteran difficulty is lethal if you so much as stick your head up

this is true

>Full character creation
>Choice branch
>Different endings
>Good and Evil choices

>letting yourself get hit by a beam
why?

Turn based games featuring firearms get me hard

This only applies to Veteran pre WaW

>you can kill enemies just as fast as they can kill you
>no contextual movement that causes you to lose control
>no hitscan unless the gun fires a laser
>no rpg elements in action games
>no action elements in rpg games
>turn based rpgs rather than real time
>movement that isn't affected by physics systems, allowing for perfect control

this sounds like Max Payne 3.
Is it?

All of those webms are of someone playing on easy

COD is one of the more satisfying when it comes to that. Singleplayer, the weapons are designed differently, there's more kick to them, a greater sense of impact and need to control your shots.

Multiplayer weapons are "simplified" for balance and clarity, you can let off longer bursts in order to deal with far more mobile enemies (other players) and there's less random inaccuracy.

It's really weird that several others shooters (most by EA, especially Battlefield games like BC2 and BF3) do the opposite in that SP has very pithy weapon feel while the MP versions have greater kick and/or more unpredictable inaccuracy, neither of which feel really good. Most however just have the same exact variables for weapons in both SP and MP.

Not so. It began with COD2 and has been almost entirely unchanged since (although many setpieces in each game uniquely modify behavior for the purpose of what you're doing, such as being required to run out into the open or one of the many chase sequences where their accuracy improves based on time exposed). Back in COD1, enemy behavior was so simple that they could do an instant 180° and kill you with a series of shots to the toe if it was the only thing exposed and they had an MP44.

COD singleplayer has a core enemy behavior in that the enemy's accuracy is proportional to the percentage of your body exposed to their vision. Basically if most of your body is concealed behind solid cover, they'll spray bullets all around you in a wide cone, only a small chance to hit you. But if more than half of you is exposed, they will drill a hole in your head with bullets.

this
that you can fug
xD

>good soundtrack
>hammy or at least so bad its good voice acting
>replayability
>optionally, rpg mechanics

Ps4 exclusive

Not describing a partiuclar game but it could be.

Though I had issues with aim acceleration both on the 360 and PC version.

Mgsv

FEAR really doesn't change between the difficulties, it just makes enemy health and damage higher. The speed at which the player is losing health in suggests that it is Hard difficulty. Funny, he didn't even make use of the Slo-Mo which effectively causes each soldier to instantly seize up so they can yell "holy shit!", giving you several seconds to have your way with them.

The AI are always fucking retarded, they spend most of the time yelling at each other and running around in very dumb ways, very often getting caught in loops without ever shooting at you even if you're standing right in front of them. That anyone heralds it as a game with "good AI" is a sad misinformed meme.

>Replayablity
>Jamming anything and everything in the options menu
>Mfw FOV sliders
>Unintrusive/immersive hud
>Easy to learn, hard to master
>Relatable characters
Not necessarily in that order

>Because no cod has ever had satisfying gunplay?

I never said anything about cod being good at anything, just that you're spouting garbage meant to foool dumbasses, just like you.

>I never said anything about cod being good at anything

You sure didn't. But you implied good gunplay was ever used as a marketing tool by devlopers of any cod game

You can stop acting like a retard, anytime.

you must really like the serious sam series

Good feeling movement
Fun to play
Gets into gameplay right away

Too bad no game released today has it. It either falls short in one of those departments severely enough to make the experience mediocre or is lacking it altogether.

>bumping up the difficulty makes the AI smarter

>not using the HD textures

Does anyone even still play it? I only mess around in the training area from time to time.

>game calls a magazine a clip
I refuse to play when i see this.

Fun

Whats wrong with the 250?

>Spending unlimited time making AI smart as fuck 10/10
>Only SOME get to see the smartness of it when they play SP on the "HARDER" difficulty
>All that time and effort wasted as fuck

Yeah.. I'd never allow that to happend either.
I'd increase the enemy count and weapon tier's they use.
>Pistol guys now use SMG
>SMG use AR
>AR use MG
>MG use RPG/GL
>GL use Ultra weapons
>Ultra Weapons use Ultra Weapons with never ending rain of fire

If only
>Play Skyrim
>One shot everyone on easy difficulty
>1v1 takes 5 minutes on hard because they have 10x health
>Swordplay is literally mash left mouse button
>Spend 5 minutes mashing on a guy with your sword
>Get one shot by him because he has 10x damage as well

I just want something immersive that I could roleplay with, and lots of customization.

The last time I played something which also built up my standards is New Vegas
