What's your stance on Undertale Sup Forums?

this is the worst picture i have ever seen

That it's a pretty good game but I'm going to act like I hate it to bring some balance to the furries who act like it's the best game ever.

liberal cuckoldry

its got significant flaws but i enjoyed it

Name FIVE ( 5 ) flaws.

The game is fun, but the fanbase is cancer, as always.
Alot of people think it's deep and original because it breaks the fourth wall and has a lesbian pairing.
There are also people who unironically liked Asriel.

...

Its neat but forgettable.

RDR is timeless

I'll start, the random encounters get boring due to repetition. Doesn't really matter which path you're taking either. The game had a lot of clever design but the fans praise it for it's anime tier story

1: sometimes the game doesn't properly recognize you're doing NG+ and doesn't give the options to skip scenes/special NG+ dialog (even if it's a normal restart and not a soul steal restart)
2: All the Mettaton shows are extremely tedious in replays, and that's not really acceptable in a game that has a lot of focus on replaying for different outcomes
3: grinding out genocides is overly tedious
4: no option to kill Alphys in any route
5: hints were left in the game towards the Wingdings plotline which was cut from the game, some things don't really make any sense without Wingdings (like Sans randomly having a time machine for no reason)

Is this steven universe or something?

Why do you moron's keep replying to this thread that's made everyday?

>no option to kill Alphys in any route

You kill her and everything else in the ending of Genocide

I haven't PLAYED Undertale, but it's made for some entertaining viewings.

I know I'll probably get flak for this, but I do like it way more than Earthbound. Undertale had 100 times the "charm and personality" that nostalgic motherfags pretend their series has, and it looks to have fun(ish) gameplay as well, unlike Earthbound which is literally the most boring JRPG gameplay I've ever experienced.

Ridiculous amount of scripting and railroading
Zero challenge bar one fight
The RPG elements barely actually do anything (this might or might not be intentional)
Two hour length
Pathetic graphics
$10 dollar pricetag for all of the above

I could name many more things it didn't do than it did wrong though, because the game is barebones

Repetitive combat system, especially if you going for genocide route.

Game is really easy, even the more challenging (genocide undyne and sans) fights aren't that challenging.

Alphys is incredibly annoying, just because she was meant to be like that doesn't make a decent character.

The game tries to pretend that saving is a huge part of the plot but it barely means anything other than the game remembering tiny details about previous playthroughs.

30fps lock.

It's an alright game, but it's nowhere near as good as people think it is. Most of what it does, other games have done better before.

I wish there was more dialogue and variation in routes when doing timeline fuckery. Changing the epilogue text isn't interactive design, which is what Undertale thrives at otherwise.

Sans and Papyrus aren't from this time period or maybe even this world. Sans alludes to this in genocide ("I can't back get to where I came from, and going to the surface doesn't appeal to me either..."). The machine I'm guessing is the macguffin that brought them to Undertale in the first place, but it's broken.

It was ok, but it's one of those games that is just impossible to replay due to how sub-par the actual gameplay parts are and the fact that the writing is quirky rather than actually being good

I think it would have been better if it kept the atmosphere that the demo had

Why aren't games by cactus and thecatamites as revered as Undertale?

No, she escaped before you reach her and then Chara steals your soul. The closest you can get to killing her is doing genocide, selling your soul, and then doing pacifist, and even then all you get is a vague hint at her death consisting of nothing but a photo with a red x on it.

The time machine was clearly made by Gaster if you look at the cut content and the photo in the drawer, but because it was cut a lot of stuff is left unclear

One of the very few games which the fanbase put me off buying it.

>tfw undertale is more popular than the Zero Escape series.

>Alphys is incredibly annoying
Alphys would have been a lot better if her texts auto-scrolled while you're walking around. It would let you focus on clearing the area if you didn't care. None of her texts are that important anyways, the few things she says that matter involve a phone call.

There's also Alphys' implied suicide when Undyne or Mettaton die. Considering Undyne's phone convo about her first meeting with Alphys, she probably does jump off a cliff in those endings.

The fuck is that pic?

It was nice and Chara touches upon some interesting meta themes, sadly, fanbase ran away with cute gote and skeletons, pretty much turning its discussion into cancer.

more people own computers than own a 3DS or Vita

I really like the idea of Charrator and a really depressed kid instead of the spawn of satan. Despite the game having a black-and-white morality, the key NPCs in Undertale are all shades of gray, each having their own motivations and flaws that prevent them from doing the right thing.

A good game, my personal GOTY, but holy FUCK I'm tired of hearing about it. It's outlived it's stay for months now, but people won't stop talking about it. I blame lets players.

Mediocre game with a shit fanbase.

Never played it. Probably shit.

I'm personally not even considering Chara as the human back a long time ago to be evil.
I mean, if Chara is your vidyagaem tendencies, who's to say he didn't latch on to the poor kid when he fell down? After all, you take control over Frisk when HE falls down.

It took me a moment to realize what the shit this was.

Fuck yourself with a shit-covered rake, OP Yup

Liked it at first, then I realized it was shit

Impulse bought on day one because it was FOTM on Sup Forums but then never got around to playing it. Now I wish I had played it right away, because at this point I'm inclined to hate it despite knowing almost nothing about it. I hear it has great dialogue and characters but all I see is bad puns and internet memes?

Where's the Jewish mysticism shitposter? He in his doomsday bunker right now?
