After Windows 10 did a forced installation while I was asleep now Witcher 3 doesn't run properly on my pc.
My computer was able to run the game at a solid 60 fps but after the win10 update I keep getting severe frame drops averaging 10 fps whenever I try to move my mouse to turn in game. I really want to play blood and wine but I can't even run the game on the lowest settings without this shitty problem.
Anyone else experience this? Are the any fixes?
You have 30 days I believe to do a reset.
Just go back to your older OS and get yourself GWX Control Panel to shield yourself from Win10.

Sometimes when I right click on something such as an image or program the fucking window will nearly crash and freeze up for like 10 seconds
and it broke my DVD drive or something because no program will let me watch anything or even listen to half my music

This happened to me too on Windows 7. It was the dumbest thing ever. For some reason the game set itself to Borderless Window mode which ran like shit whenever I moved. Setting it back to Full Screen mode fixed the issue.
Check your graphics card drivers. When Windows 10 installs (Or gets its major updates, like the June one rolling out now) is has pre-downloaded GPU drivers it installs over your current ones. Due to slow development time and having to finalize everything, it tends to pack very outdated drivers by the time it gets set out.
The June update rolled me back to Nvidia's February driver.

Just make sure to hide the file after you've removed it. Go make a manual update check and when it shows the list with updates find that file, right-click, hide. Cancel out of the list after and you're set.
You've had like 6 months to remove the W10 update files. You deserve it.

Same thing happened for 8, people said it couldn't run anything or had performance problems even when benchmarks proved otherwise.
There were people who thought Windows 8 couldn't even run steam.

Also maybe try a fresh reinstall? Had same issue with a few games until I reinstalled. Also make sure your drivers are okay after upgrading.
You see even as you walk down the street and hear people talking about him and spitting but it doesn't play a big part in the story. Most people are scared and the main characters don't seem to be bothered about him being a witcher
In the beginning the os has real compatibility issues, 8 is more or less fixed but wasn't enough of an upgrade over 7 to justify it.
10 has issues still that may get fixed, may not, still in the wind on this.

almost every one of 8's "compatibility issues" was users misreporting problems.
For example a lot of people reported Dark Souls 1 "didn't work" on Windows 8, but it turned out they had upgraded from 7 and the problem was GFWL needed to be reinstalled, Dark Souls 1 was perfectly compatible.
This happened for several games and a similar effect happened with 10.
People reported H-games don't run on 10 but they do, they just needed to reinstall their applocale.
