>TEN MILLION DOLLARS
Where is this figure coming from? Did Deep Silver give specifically 4.5 million on top of the 5.5 million kickstarter funding?
Why are you so mad? The game obviously isn't finished yet.
Yes.
>Two more days
Who else is hyped for the demo?
Fuck off, Inafune.
>>TEN MILLION DOLLARS
This has to be a factually incorrect claim
It is impossible to spend that much money on that thing
It looks so ugly
>this thread again
Looks LESS detailed than Order of Ecclessia, an 8 year old NDS game.
How do you fuck up that hard?
have you heard about Tim Schafer?
It's not finished, though.
>OP: its crashing and burning just like mn9
>Everyone in the thread: I'm quite happy with the kick-starter so far
I've clicked on this thread every time I've seen it over the past week and EVERYTIME you fail to incite you desired reaction,. Care to tell us why you still post these threads OP?
And its shaping up to be a goty when it comes out in a year or maybe two, no matter how much the retarded shitposters trying to convince themselves its another tortanic.
even his stuff honestly looks better
at least it's drawn and not 3D
>It's not finished, though.
How many months has it been since the kickstarter?
And what have they shown? Literally nothing but the MC and a few rooms. That's where all of their manpower has gone and they can't even be bothered to make it look decent
What about Shantae? The day it was announced it already looked good and was ACTUAL footage
shitposting is a more guaranteed way of getting replies
it's sad but true
A real demo is coming at E3 you cheap b8ing faggot
It looks good. They have been able to put some things together and feature them. Pretty sure they have more than this done. Afterall, they got to the point where the game starts having more shape.
This game isn't coming out for over half a year, and they already have a demo ready for E3.
The same reason people shitpost about MN9, both are fine looking games.
How much did they spend on David Hayter?
What is pre-production for $300 Alex.
SFM PORN WHEN?
Take more effort next time
I just want the armpit porn/fanart.
This game will be average on it's best day and everyone will forget about it 100% after 2 months give or take if I am being generous.
I'm sure it will bring nothing new or exciting at all whatsoever. 100% sure.
You can't turn everything into the next TORtanic user.
Maybe so to people who aren't Igavania fans, but I still revisit the GBA and DS games quite regularly. If Iga and his team deliver then I'm confident that I'll be playing this game for quite some time.
you faggots are never happy
the game looks fine
How big is the team?
It's obvious that a lot of up-front work has been put into shaders and asset creation, and that core gameplay logics aren't ready to show yet and the animation team hasn't made much progress.
But that's game design; if you have only a handful of people working on the project, and they do asset creation first (which is a valid approach; asset creation > level design, level design > player ability design, player ability design > enemy design) then of course the game will have nothing more than a bunch of empty rooms.
If it was done the other way around, like for example Ori, and the game at the 1 year mark consisted of squares and circles on a plain grey backdrop but the moveset was feature-complete, would you complain?
Do you really think that game design is done with the same chronology as game playing?
Also
>$10m
Money doesn't buy faster work unless they invested that cash in expanding the team radically. It's one thing when it's someone like Inafune who clearly hired a large team and formed an incorporated entity with the money but is this team more than a handful of dudes? You can throw cash at them all day, it won't make the work faster.
I 100% guarantee that you will not play this game more than the gba/ds castlevania games.
It will not happen.
>And what have they shown? Literally nothing but the MC and a few rooms. That's where all of their manpower has gone and they can't even be bothered to make it look decent
That's just what they showed in the video, it's a carry-on from the surveys about the MC's character model and the backgrounds.
Try making the thread once the demo is out, it's only a few more days. Then you'll have something to complain about.
>What about Shantae? The day it was announced it already looked good and was ACTUAL footage
And yet it still got delayed by three years. I'm looking forward to HGH, but I wouldn't call it a fine example of well-planned development.
The fucking demo comes out once E3 starts proper, calm yourself until then.
>autists fall again for a retarded reverse troll
Isn't $10m kind of small in modern day development anyway?
Whats your basis for this? As a backer of this game and as someone whoa s stated has put quite a bit of time into SotN plus all 6 GBA/DS games I have seen nothing alarming in this kickstarter.
I like exploring the castles and settings and Iga as spoken multiple times about how important the level design of the castle will be.
What about it so far makes you so certain it wont have the same kinda hook as the old games?
OP is a Mighty Blunder backer faggot trying to get back at Sup Forums, always ignore him
>SFM PORN WHEN?
Never. SFM porn is lazy and ugly.
Did you not see all the stretch goals?
>I've clicked on this thread every time I've seen it over the past week and EVERYTIME you fail to incite you desired reaction
Me too. It's such a blatant lie that no one believes, I don't see what the point is in making these threads.
I'm still keeping my expectations in check though. I don't want too get too excited for this game. It might still end up sucking. But so far, so good.
It's small only if you look at AAA game development, which ahve bloated costs.
7-10 is standard for the PS2 era.
>Hi, I'm Kenji Inafune. I created Mega Man. Please give me 5 million dollars.
>Mega Man turns out to be actually created by Akira Kitamura
>Hi, I'm Koji Igarashi. I created Symphony of the Night.
>Syhphony of the Night was actually directed by Toru Hagihara
Are they both con men?
>7-10 is standard for the PS2 era.
That doesn't mean much when that ended ten years ago.
>which ahve bloated costs.
Isn't it due to graphical demands being incredibly costly? It's the kind of thing that the OP seems to think is missing, anyway.
Wow, people on Sup Forums really are so sad and pathetic that the only enjoyment they get out of life now is shitpost that every new game will be the new Star Wars: The Old Republic MMO, huh?
>this salty MN9 faggot that keeps making these turbo autist threads
>That doesn't mean much when that ended ten years ago.
Just saying that some of the best games ever, were made with those budgets. Games should go back to that economic model. Everyone is chasing the AAA dream with razor thin margins and it just is not working.
Silent Hill 2 cost 10 million and it's one of my fave games ever.
you are, without an inkling of doubt, genuinely retarded
>both are fine looking games.
HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH
I disagree, there. I didn't back MN9, and a lot of people are blowing it out of proportion because they want a new TORtanic, but the game still looks pretty bad, while Bloodstained is coming along fantastically.
IGA looks like he's slowly getting out of the Castlevania Dracula phase and getting in the Hellsing Alucard phase instead.
If MN9 was released on steam without any fanfare, no one would care. It just looks like a rather average buget game. People expected more with 4 million+ and "the father of Mega Man" Kenji Inafune involved.
Yeah, it looks very mediocre from what I've seen, and unless the reviews turn out great, I'll probably pick it up on sale down the line. Bloodstained though, is going to be a day 1 purchase if it keeps up this quality. Not only does it look a lot better than most 2.5d games, the developers are very actively involved in the community, are giving steady updates (instead of vanishing for months at a time like the MN9 devs), and seem to have a much clearer vision in mind than the MN9 devs.
>demo will only be available to backers, and only the ones who backed at the $60 level or above
Pathetic
>being poor
>then crying about it
iga actually worked on the programming for sotn
inafune's a designer
big difference
>scamstained
>cuckstainers
it's a fucking holidays, first Pizza Delivery Man N9 floped hard not this
not enough popcorn for all this
>tfw I'm a backer AND in the $60 tier
>but still can't play because not getting the PC version
No he didn't
>bunch of hipsters from Chile made better looking game than industry veteran
>Reposting the exact same opening
people asked for a game like this, we are getting the thing we asked, what's the problem there, op?
>Arin's avatar in the fucking game
Haaaaaaaaaaaaaate you Arin.
we need more bloom
why
>plays the game on stream
>goes through the different aspects of it, detailing his memories of working on it
>remembers coding the fucking pause screen
you're retarded
Iga never said he created Symphony of the Night. He was assistant director, programmer and scenario writer for SotN.
1. It breaks game immersion. There's some sign with "Face in the game". It doesn't fit in the game world at all.
2. Arin is a lazy hack. I hate seeing his smug avatar in the game.
3. Fuck Game Dumps.
India has sent a probe to Mars for lesser money.
Let that sink in, some streetshitters sent something to a different planet for less money and these incompetent game devs couldn't even make a game
>5,000,000
IGA says he already secured 90% of the funding from the publisher before the KS campaign started, which had an initial goal of 500,000. The total budget has to be at least 10,000,000 if we take that into account.
>2 mil, 1 year later
>made by a room full of brits in between gluing googly eyes to everything and having tea breaks
>huge world with mini games powerups NPCs and all sorts of bullshit
>10 million, 1 year later
>made by a room full of workaholics working 23 hours a day
>a couple empty rooms on a boat
can't trust the japs
4. pussywhipped by his ugly wife
>i have no idea that there is no correlation between money and time if the dev team doesnt grow
Remember bridge on the river kwai?
Brits are just plain better at working and living than japs
Nice, a three hours game with enough bloom that it hides half the textures.
Yooka-Laylee looks like crap though. Looks like they just took Banjo and slapped in an iguana.
Gotta love the childish passive-aggressive writing though. Very professional.
Being honest Yooka Laylee has to be the best handled Kickstarter I've ever seen, on par with Shovel Knight. I'm happy it's doing so well.
I want to make babies with Miriam
Or maybe you want to get the thread deleted, we'll never know.
I want to play Miriam's game!
link me stream
game is pretty dull and co-op doesn't work that well. still those guys are awesome
>The total budget has to be at least 10,000,000

Bloom can be disabled in options.
>YK is bad because they just took and old game and remade it
>bloodstained will be good though because unlike them they are taking and an old game and remaking it poorly
yeah they are so great they are letting their country get run over by mudslimes
No kojima that's why it looks like shit
Name a single japanese kickstarter that didn't end up being complete shit.
Also professional. I never said YL will be bad because hey, Banjo wasn't bad and this looks like it straight rips it off, but it still looks like crap because they could've done anything and instead just made Banjo again. It's because of that why I think YL is looking less and less interesting, even if it ends up being good.
>technical demo means they've used all the assets and things they've created for the game
>technical demo is going to be the same as the final product
>technical demo is a full demo
The depths of your retardation; Endless.
God MN9 looks like total shit. Thank god I didn't back that.
>technical demo argument
>for the past 5 years most of the games that were publicly released as alpha/beta or demo literally had little to none differences with final product
keep shilling fag
Trying again, huh? You should consider waiting more than a few hours after your thread shits itself to death before trying again.
I'm pretty sure you can just DL the demo on PC and then get your copy on whatever system you want.
You can reassign your copy to steam or gog even now. I can understand why you wouldn't, though.
Is this any good? I'm kind of starved for Metroidvanias.
Miriam is for _____!
lazy bait attempt
Yooka Laylee already had enough money to be made, though. The KS was entirely about getting more money to help flesh out the game.
Are people on Sup Forums genuinely retarded?
I can't tell if it's bait anymore or people are actually this fucking stupid?
I mean look at this dipshit.
Is this bait or pure retardation?
Look, it's the same autist again
Did you also came up with "belt scroller", you autist?
>tech demo is the same as an alpha/beta/final game demo
(you)
How could such a visionary like Inafune get so side tracked? What went wrong?
You're gonna pirate it anyway you cheap ass neet mother fucker
