Sup Forums has a Terraria server going, and we were about to boss it up. The update is pretty tight, and a lot of players probably haven't experienced expert mode? Come.

Progression is super satisfying. There are a lot of customization options I didn't experience until just recently, so if armor dyeing seems neat, there are plenty of options, and the developer gear drops from expert HM bosses.

It'd be neat if the game allowed reverse engineering of items for crafting.

Have they finally added the capability of hitting more then a single block yet? Because on a large world it takes light years to dig anything.

Why is this game so goddamn ugly?

Somehow rocket launchers sounds like it drops after hardmode and the ammo is either costly or sparse as hell.

What should I do/get before hardmode?

What is there to even do before HM? There's like 4 bosses, fishing, and miney-craftia.

No, but a light shroomite claw with a mining potion basically lets you dig faster than you can move.

Gave it a go and nobody is really doing much of anything.
Oh well.

Either get the digging mount or grab a snowman cannon and use rockets that break tiles. Snowman cannon shoots really fast and doesn't hurt the user so you can go fucking nuts with it. The rockets also home in on enemies.
