Why are Scouts so good in VC1? Is there any reason to even level anything besides Engineers and Snipers? Lancers and Shocktroopers are otherwise useless as a result of their shitty stamina and the 20-turn limit.

You answered your own question. Stamina is the main resource used when playing the game, so naturally scouts are the best unit because they have the most (by far) of a precious, important resource.

However if you play the game trying to S rank every mission using scouts and beating every mission in two or three turns you're not playing the game right. Cheese strats ain't fun.

It's not fun having to navigate some of the grander maps with Lancer's either. I would try to get the platinum for the game if I was actually competent enough to formulate strategies using all unit types.

Has anyone else tried the Gallian Crossfire mod? I'm on chapter 13 and this shit is balls to the wall. I can barely move any units within the line of fire without them dying. Even Selvaria can actually destroy the Edelweiss like an infantry unit.
