>Fucked up Reach >Ruined Halo in Halo4 >Greedy cunts want 60$ for a broken old collection >Pay to Win modes >Incomplete Halo5 >Online only for most of the game
>Nigger main guy in 5 >Cucking Chief
And get this >Will release 60$ DLC for halo 5 for Split Screen and game modes
Why is 343 alive. Halo4 is hated by everyone. Halo 5 is even worse with the lowest population and lowest sales
>Fucked up Reach They had nothing to do with Reach
Julian Thomas
>Nigger
dude, racism's not cool
Gavin Morales
>Why is 343 alive Because it's just Microsoft developing under a name. They're literally the same company.
Jayden Fisher
Reach was fun as fuck, but I only played for the campaign
Joshua Howard
>Fucked up Reach
Uh..should we tell him guys? I love how shit posters can't even get their shit posts straight
Thomas Sullivan
>we
Gavin Jenkins
They made the one and only title update for it, which immensely improved the game.
OP is a bungiefag who is probably buying all the Destiny DLC like a good goy.
Gabriel Thomas
Reach is my 2nd fav halo go sit down op
Jackson Bell
the funniest thing is they actually made reach better...what they were doing with 4 though who the fuck knows. they probably tried to make reach better just so people bought for and you can definitely bet they glitched the fuck out of mcc matchmaking just so people bought h5
Josiah King
The bungie halos are great and I love that destiny dlc but goddamn bungie is incompetent. Its always one step forward and two steps back At least theyre not 343
Leo Evans
Bungie Halos were always on a decline. 343's Halo is the opposite.
Nicholas Nelson
four** 343 took one step forward with h5 but that was it. they still needed to take another 99 steps. announcing when power weapons are up was kind of a step back I guess but only affects people who aren't champions
Brandon Powell
Announcing weapons spawns helps anyone who isn't at the top level, and doesn't hurt anyone at the top level because they'd just know the timers anyway. It's giving players information outright.
What I do hate about them is that they give away your position when they're picked up.
Isaiah Thompson
>Bungie Halos were always on a decline You can say they went sideways with odst and reach but I enjoy those just as much, if not more than the mc trilogy
John Hernandez
Reach was a pretty objective downgrade if you ignore the content and focus on what matters(gameplay). Even when it's stripped down, it's still not as good as older games.
Jack Turner
The multiplayer was decent. They are trying new things and thats great and all, but I don't think theyre doing to well with the series as a whole. The forerunners are stupid, and the h5 campaign was just as bad as h4
Isaac Hernandez
>Announcing weapons spawns helps anyone who isn't at the top level, and doesn't hurt anyone at the top level because they'd just know the timers anyway. It's giving players information outright. it's just another thing that affects the skill gap...when t he fuck are they going to realize they need to go back to how the original trilogy formula was? im not even complaining about physics or anything I just want classic play style. fuck sprint and fuck these massive maps and kill times h2a is better than reach/4/5
Jonathan Roberts
>They are trying new things and thats great and all, but I don't think theyre doing to well with the series as a whole they literally didn't need to do anything. h3 had a shit ton of people online before reach killed it. try something new when the series is actually dying
Benjamin Hernandez
It doesn't affect the skill gap at all, going into forge and pressing X on a weapon isn't a "skill". Even in the time Halo was on the MLG circuit, players didn't time weapons on their own. They had coaches behind them with tablets and clipboards.
Grayson Hill
Microsoft should've let the series rest for a while and released Halo 4 as a next-gen title. But of course, they just had to be greedy.
Jack Ross
>going into forge and pressing X on a weapon isn't a "skill". Idk what you mean by this? im saying it affects the skill gap among the rest of the community. not everyone uses timers or coaches, but now everyone doesn't need one. people who were coaches are out of a job because of this
Josiah Fisher
I like Halo 5's MP a lot
Joshua Fisher
Hiding away weapon timers in a different mode doesn't create a skill gap, it just hides information from players. It would be like hiding the combo list in a fighting game; it's not going to be suddenly more competitive when some players know all the combos and others don't.
Joseph Morales
>improved Casualizing the game even further and catering to whiny 12 year olds like you who thought armor lock was broken didn't really improve anything, but I guess Xbots like that kind of thing
Logan Roberts
>Hiding away weapon timers in a different mode doesn't create a skill gap, it just hides information from players. It would be like hiding the combo list in a fighting game it's not like hiding combos in a fighting game and it would still give you an edge against someone who just started playing. it's literally like everyone has a timer now for them. no arena fps had this except maybe quake 3's quad damage..
Brayden Cruz
>removing RNG makes the game casual
Christopher Cruz
>going into forge and pressing X on a weapon isn't a "skill"
The average person would not bother to do this, much less memorise all the weapon spawn times, remember to check that against the in-game time and know which weapon to push for when. Controlling power weapons is definitely a skill.
Lucas Jenkins
halo 5 >sprint >smart scope >gimmicky thrusters >large maps fast kill times this is actually the slowest halo yet\ also shit tier ranking system
Adam Diaz
Jokes aside, it's bottom of the barrel humor
Dylan Phillips
Having an even playing field with everyone knowing what spawns where and when could arguable increase the skill gap in lower-level games, since those weapons will actually be contested. Nobody is given weapons for free when a timer is onscreen.
Anyone good would already know the timers and it literally doesn't affect them one bit.
Nolan Gomez
>>Will release 60$ DLC for halo 5 for Split Screen and game modes
Speaking from a fanatic Halo 5 player, where did you get this from?
As far as I'm aware, all DLC is free.
Mason Wright
Seriously? 60 dollars for a feature that should have been in the game originally
Jayden Powell
>fast kill times It's barely faster than Halo 2, and is much slower than Halo 1.
But you're probably that faggot that always posts the 49-49 beta gameplay on Truth.
Joseph Russell
>Implying smart scope is bad
Autos are useful now and other guns have neat gimmicks attached to it. You are more accurate then ever without zooming in too so don't try to use that as a reason why it's bad
Grayson Gray
whether or not everyone know timers you're not always going to be thinking about it when playing but now they have it flashing or your screen. it's >fastest ar >fastest smg >second fastest pistol this along with the large maps and everything else makes it a shitty game it's terrible you obvious shill. obstructing and clunky
Colton Taylor
>whether or not everyone know timers you're not always going to be thinking about it when playing but now they have it flashing or your screen. it's Good players will know timers regardless.
>large maps "no."
Blake Harris
I honestly laughed so fucking hard at the ttk with the ads smg. it literally looked like cod. I feel sorry for real halo fans desu. new kids are just too late truth slayer is terrible and you cannot tell me it's the same size as midship/heretic its garbage but nice try also >strongholds fucking kek
Ian Diaz
>calling people you disagree with a shill
I agree it'd be better just as the old zoom style on guns that had zoom in later titles to be less obstructive. I'm actually LESS accurate when zoomed in with the pistol due to how cluttered it is.
But overall it did more good then bad I feel
Christopher Parker
>strongholds >bad It's literally a better version of 3-plot.
Asher Clark
it's just everything thrown into the game as a whole. halo never needed sprint. doom didn't have sprint. fucking cs doesn't have sprint and it's not even an arena shooter 3 plot was never good that's why im laughing it's played competitively >how to know if you're a noob at halo 2
Benjamin Gutierrez
>fucking cs doesn't have sprint It has a knife that accomplishes the same thing; trading the ability to shoot your gun for faster movement.
Tell me user, how much Halo 5 have you played?
Hudson Moore
>it literally looked like cod Who the fuck cares how it looks, care about how it actually is mechanically.. It's nothing like ADS in CoD: it doesn't slow you down and you can shoot accurately without it.
it's just zoom with a new coat of paint to attract CoD kids, who invariable treat it like ADS and get their shit pushed in as a result.
> I feel sorry for real halo fans desu I'd be willing to bet i've spent more time more time and money on halo shit then you have by a factor of 10 and started far earlier then you did
>halo never needed sprint. I agree, but with how it works in 5 i'm not particularly bothered by it's inclusion either.
Sprint in 4 was worse since it didn't slow shield recharge and you could just run away, and no descope/ordinance in 4 was WAY worse
Samuel Davis
>It has a knife that accomplishes the same thing ok but this is halo, it's an arena shooter...no arena shooter had this shit and besides you pretty much die on the spot in cs making yourself extremely vulnerable when doing this
Isaiah Powell
>it's an arena shooter. Is it, though? Has it ever been?
How much Halo 5 have you played?
Nolan Brooks
Yeah, 343 aren't very good. It's a problem since it's slowly killing the franchise. Everything about the games just feels off, even down to the awkward overly-detailed art direction.
Jonathan Flores
>It's nothing like ADS in CoD it is though. that smg ttk /ads/far away cover/sprint makes this shit terrible. it's not halo and it's not good
Luke Morris
>it is though Nope.
>complaining about a fast TTK How to spot someone who started playing with Halo 2 or 3.
Oliver Cook
>How much Halo 5 have you played? im talking about the orginal trilogy. halo 5 is definitely not an arena shooter and is not very competitive desu it's probably the most casual halo yet. it's just played a such a slow pace because of the map sizes and ttks. they somehow even made the br faster even though it's still 4 shot.
Hunter Baker
You're not answering my question. You have played Halo 5 and know enough to complain about it, right? It would be a shame if all you had were baseless accusations.
Michael Garcia
I started with h1 and it had slow ttks except for the pistol. not only that the maps were more close quarters and just better overall 1-3 didn't have sprint and sprint is bad
Evan Bell
Not him, but yes, i'd say every Halo game is at it's core an arena shooter.
Even 4, since you can turn loadouts off and turn weapons on maps on, and even with loadouts it still plays more like UT then it does COD.
Mechanically it is 100% identical to zoom in past halos.
>it's not halo and it's not good I hope you aren't implying "having automatics be good isn't halo", becausse this is the most retarded fucking thing I see in the halo fanbase and it's bee a constant cancer since even the Halo 2 days.
>How to spot someone who started playing with Halo 2 or 3 Not him and I started with CE (though I didn't really get into the series untill 2), but he's just an idiot.
Justin Edwards
>Even 4, since you can turn loadouts off and turn weapons on maps on, and even with loadouts it still plays more like UT then it does COD. You can turn off all of the abilities in 5.
Mason Thomas
I rented it the first day played it for 6 hrs then barely played the rest of the week I had it. got to diamond 1 in arena slayer. the placement matches are stupid but whatever 1-50 was better in almost every way >i'd say every Halo game is at it's core an arena shooter. I'd say every halo game after 3 at it's core has been a broken mess and that's why nobody is interested in it
Benjamin Barnes
It definitely started the trend away from traditional Halo gameplay. Loadouts, fall damage, sprinting, and jetpacks were a mistake.
Jose Myers
>fall damage Worked fine in Halo 1.
Jeremiah Bell
>fall damage fall damage was in h1 except you're right about sprint and jetpacks. that shit was never in halo
Charles Lewis
I'm know, I don't see how that's relevant though, and I didn't bring it up as such?
Halo 5 has even starts to begin with by default, so it's an arena shooter by default, 4 didn't so there's an argument that it's not one, hence why I said "but I'd still count 4 because..."
Nolan King
If Destiny is anything to go by, Halo 4+ would have been either way.
Carter Harris
AA's actually made the map flow less shit in reach
jetpacks made sword base bearable
Blake Ramirez
>ar starts in h5
Zachary Foster
The Magnum is powerful and the BR is too easy to spawn with.
I think even weapon starts is too broad to define an arena shooter. Halo doesn't have particularly fast movement, a 2-weapon limit, a regenerating health buffer, and offhand melee/grenades.
Samuel Gonzalez
I loved Halo 1-3 but the series with 4 (and you could say earlier with Reach) started becoming exactly the opposite of what made it popular. A big focus on loadouts and abilities instead of map knowledge and power weapons, e-sports instead of splitscreen, gotta-go-fast cowaduty in space gameplay, and fanfic tier shitty ass stories for the campaign instead of something that makes sense really killed the series in record time. I played all of 4 with a buddy and even doing couch co-op couldn't save it from being a terrible experience. It has to be one of the most soulless games I've ever played.
Andrew Flores
>>Greedy cunts want 60$ for a broken old collection stopped reading here
Levi King
I didn't mind Halo 4 so much It was clearly the worst of the main games, until 5, but I didn't hate it. I do not like 5. I don't like how the cutscenes are so action packed. All the other games the cutscenes are there for exposition and setting up the level but in 5 it feels like I'm missing out on a good bit of the action. Also this is the first Halo I've had to change the controls on. >Left Trigger to zoom/scope Not muh Halo controls
Justin Perez
Ah that's right, my bad
Worked fine without it in Halo 2 and 3 though right? And I don't think there's anyone who would claim Reach/4/5 had better gameplay than 2/3
Charles Cruz
>Halo doesn't have particularly fast movement, a 2-weapon limit, a regenerating health buffer, and offhand melee/grenades.
Personally, all that's needed for somethign to be an arena shooter are
-Even starts -weapons and powerups on map -some sort of exaggerated/unrealistic movement and the type of map design that goes with that
Halo qualifies for all of those. All the stuff you mentioned is just extra, IMO
Also, Halo does have fast movement: you walk at 20mph, and run at 35mph or so. The environments are just sized to actually be realistic in scale unlike in other shooters so it doesn't feel it.
Also, doesn't UT3 MP have a 2 weapon limit?
Gid gud, the AR is actually useful and can be used out to medium range viably with bursts and you have a magnum
Ayden Phillips
magnum is too powerful for the size of the maps. it just creates camping along with spritn and other things. h5 is slow m9
Thomas Reyes
Generally, 2 and 3 never really had map design that was vertical enough for fall damage in the first place. I prefer it because it adds risk/reward for getting around.
>it just creates camping Nope. Camping and passive play gets punished hard in 5.
Jace Watson
don't tell me to git gud buddy I will fucking rek u
Logan Lopez
thats why you switch to recon controls friend
Ian Cook
>Nope. Camping and passive play gets punished hard in 5. >start watching 343's pathetic tourney >first thing I see is a guy camping with rockets in an objective gametype shit maps, shit game design
Jonathan Garcia
Post source.
Joshua Ross
it was live I didn't fucking record it you tool
Mason Rodriguez
>thing happened >fuck you i won't prove it
Sebastian Reyes
heres something different. game pretty much plays the same beta or not. this shit is funny as fuck youtube.com/watch?v=XRoNK-7tp2U this would literally never happen on any map in h1-3
Owen Jackson
Oh, this chestnut that you keep posting. Cherrypicked beta footage that's incredibly outdated now.
Kayden Kelly
they literally couldn't push because of the map size and kill times
Jonathan Bell
They literally couldn't because the enemy only had to get 1 more kill. What kind of shitter are you to run out into the open when you're 1 kill from losing?
Again >beta
Sebastian Gomez
whoa guys watch out this guy posted the beta footage from truth again he really won the argument now
Ayden Stewart
>tfw there's no headshot bonus on the AR on shields in the final game >tfw spraying and praying is actually better then timed bursts out to like 10 feet
Litterally my only problem with weapon balance in 5. Add the bonus on headshots on shields back, but reduce bodyshot damage and it'd be perfect.
Nicholas Richardson
truth is also the smallest map I've heard that prophet slayer is terrible the game literally has one slayer map
David Martinez
Empire is smaller.
Oliver Phillips
>ironsights >that post game "what of it bruh?" screen
Life is suffering.
Jordan Rivera
They actually tried to fix Reach with the TU. After that they did ruin it though since they interpretated the TU playlist low population as nobody caring about it when it reality players had already left since the TU came out more then a year later because Bungie sat on their asses. So they doubled down on shit balance after that and with Halol 4 they went full retard. What is this Halo 5 60 dollar dlc though? Just Halo 6?
Elijah Long
The AR is already ridiculously powerful in the final game.
Ian Butler
>ask user to post proof >he does >"lol cherrypicking, beta beta beta, nuh-uh that doesn't count"
Not even that user but don't be such a faggot. I know you're probably super invested into the series but come on dude.
Daniel Cruz
It doesn't count because the game is totally different now. I would accept if he posted footage that wasn't a year and a half old.
Levi Powell
oh, well empire isn't that good anyway with all the hiding spots and lines of sight
John Scott
see It's not ADS.
It is, but that's sorta my point: it's TOO powerful when spraying and praying, you should have to use timed, accurate burts to do as well as you can by merely holding the trigger down at some ranges, and I think bursting should be slightly more effective then it currently is.
In other words, I want them to raise the skillgap on it and also slightly raise the reward for being able to use it skillfully.
Landon White
halo 3 best halo game / fps of all time Of all time I miss those days fuck 343 Bungie besto
Gabriel Cruz
why are people defending a game so broken that it only has 2 slayer maps that barely work and can only be played objectively? this shit isn't halo and it's not even fucking arena
Nicholas Allen
>it only has 2 slayer maps
Jayden Ward
competitive truth/empire what else? even then im sure they barely work and only have weapons on map working for them
Xavier Diaz
>competitive
Kevin Roberts
Campaign 2>Reach>ODST>3>4=5>CE
Story 2>ODST>Reach>3>5>CE>literal garbage>4
MP 2>5>CE>3>Reach>4
Customs Reach>5>3=4>2>CE
fite me
Halo 3 babies pls go
Caleb Butler
>campaign >2
Nigga what? Everything outside of "muh arbiter xD" was awful, let alone the cliffhanger ending.
Jacob Lewis
you could literally take cs go, add weapons to the map, change the art style and call it an arena fps. it doesn't make it a good fucking game h5 is honestly shit
Camden Fisher
What does that have to do with you being wrong about H5 only having 2 competitive Slayer maps?
Carson Anderson
letting you know h5 is a shitty game is good enough for me. played the beta/rented the game. first halo I never bought and ive been a fan since the first one
