That's the way it usually goes. I can think of only three games (Days of Ruin, Spirit Tracks, Triforce Heroes) which have their own localisation for Europe.

Tokyo Mirage Sessions will probably be the worse one we've had in a while where they've removed cutscenes, costumes, textures etc.

Tera was pretty bad aswell on release, not only because of the elin costume censorship but because they removed a shitton of quests around the lvl 40ish level which created a huge grind.

Really? I remember Xenosaga 3 having a Manhunt tier censorship with filters and zoomed scenes to not look that explicit. I remember one time some dude pointed out some changed dialogue but it wasn't that important, after all, the most shocking scenes happens in 1 and 2, 3 is more about how the plot resolves.

In this case, the game was created around fanservice, it was meant to be a fun jrpg with a idol setting and fanservice, censoring it removes the point because this game doesn't have dating sim elements, deep gameplay or great story.

What is NoA or even Nintendo thinking? We don't know but is fucking up the actual product.
