Story was shit, CGI varied greatly with the orcs looking excellent, magic looking iffy, and environments that weren't forests or the Dark Portal looking like absolute shit. Sets, props, and costumes weren't much better. All of the human characters were unlikable and uninteresting. The orcs were much better but because they had to cut back to the humans every ten minutes it made the movie feel incredibly choppy, which wasn't helped by the lousy editing and the awkward transitions.

This movie needed an opening scene with some narration explaining some basic shit. Like what Azeroth is, for example? Doesn't have to be overbearing, but the movie really seems to assume you know the basics, which isn't a very safe assumption.

On a more personal note I particularly hated the mage character and his sniveling cunt face. I also wanted to cringe every time anyone said "the fel". If you're not going to explain the term why even use it? Call it fel magic or dark magic, anything would have sounded better than "the fel".

Also what the fuck was with Durotan's wife? That one orc freed her and told Durotan she was safe, and in the next scene she was in she was conveniently found by a single orc and killed. Really weird pacing.

I like the action scenes where the effects held up, the orc characters, and the look the animals and forest environments had. That's about it.

Still not as bad as I was expecting, 6/10.

It was okay. Orcs were the saving grace, they looked great and as characters they were much better than humans. Garona was shit. King had a stupid helmet but was otherwise okay-ish. I want to murder Kadgar and his preteen pubic hair on face. And Lothar had a shitty romance and a irrelevant son. Horrible. If it was only focused on the Horde side the movie would've been amazing.

The action scenes were nice enough. They nailed the impact of a hammer crushing armors and shit.

I can't think of others, but yeah I liked it overall and a lot of people were right about the story not breaking the lore THAT MUCH. Really, if you bought tickets to see this movie you 100% expected to see lore from the recent retcons and not the generic story from Warcraft 1&2.

Rewriting is normal in every film adaptation.

The CGI was fine, but because every single shot (EVERY. SINGLE. SHOT.) was a green screen stage, it was very obvious that everything was fake, thus breaking the whole point of good CGI.

The writing was hackneyed and stilted. The scene where Lothar comes back from Karazhan to engage the Horde for example. Why? Why do that? The engagement is over. Why does the Horde switch back to being honorable when Gul'Dan had whipped them back in line already? Garona can speak common as well. Fuck off. "There are prisoners, I learned from them." Bitch, seriously? It had been maybe two weeks since the Horde had landed, there is no way that you managed to pick up full fluency in a completely different tongue through immersion. I took formal education in foreign languages for years, and I wish I was half as good as Garona's common.

It was just a bad fucking movie. It was cool to see all the shit from Warcraft lore, don't get me wrong. Seeing Ironforge and Dalaran and Karazhan and seeing Khadgar running around was super cool.

But as a movie, as a stand alone entity, shit sucked. Like, out loud.

It's a good movie just watch it faggot. Rotten Tomatoes is dead wrong this time.
