THREE HUNDRED AND NINETY NINE US DOLLARS

THREE HUNDRED AND NINETY NINE US DOLLARS

Is the fact that it makes you look like Mario a reference by Sony to its first game?

It's not $400.
It's $500 if you go for the bundle and $450 after you get the mandatory camera to make it work.

DOA

Comparison.
PSVR: $400 headset, $50 camera, $50 for 2 controllers.
Oculus: $600, 1 Xbone controller, 1 camera, 1 headset
Vive: $800, 2x sensors, 1x headset, 2x controllers

Wait, does that thing clamp around your forehead instead of looking like a pair of oversized goggle? That looks even more retarded than normal vr like oculus or vive.

I don't get how people think these things are going to sell in any huge capacity. The fact that there's going to be exclusive games on each headset and the fact that people are squeamish about spending even 400 on a console itself is enough to doom this.

That's the thing. Console players are going to be very, very apprehensive about spending that kind of money just for the VR experience.

Let's keep in mind that you are likely to need the PS4 Neo to power this.

But so many games use the same engine.
Is it not possible to have it so that virtual reality will work for every Source, Unity, Unreal, etc. game with no work by game developers?

All preorders sold out in minutes and Oculus is actually having trouble keeping up with demand.

It's not going to be in every home but it's going to sell enough.
