I don't want to raise my expectations too high.

It was a good game if it was in VR.

Sadly this, looks hella cool, but its fucking ubisoft.

Looks like a game that'd be a 10/10 demo and then 5/10 no content actual game.

I'd love a throw yourself off a fucking mountain simulator though so may pick up.

The concept is really good, but unfortunately the execution will probably be shit. It can only deliver by making that entire mountain range accessible, and detailed which just won't happen because SEE THAT MOUNTAIN?

THe only thing I remember about the presentation are those guys wiping the fuck out

Not really sure what the objective in the game is desu. Skate around and do little time trials here and there? Can that really carry the game?

What if Steep

but with guns

Not my thing but i though it looked cool.
The snow trails changing width depending on how diagonally you held your ski's was a nice touch

It should cost $10 but it's definitely going to cost $60.

That and the fact that the guy narrating didn't pay them any mind whatsoever, almost as if he had become numb to human suffering during the course of game development.

>It should cost $10
based on what

if the gameplay of skiing/gliding down the mountain is fun that could carry it, and then you have all the in game and community challenges to spice things up I imagine

I think it looks a bit bland?

I heard something about it prior to them showing it and I thought it was going to be sort of their own SSX.

It might've just been misguided expectations, but now I want a SSX clone instead of this game.

Content. You can probably complete everything in an hour.

>tfw Ubisoft has great concepts but always finds the way to fuck them up

honestly i can't wait to shred mountains with my snowbros

one of the coolest games of the show for me

I just can't imagine the skiing/gliding being all that engaging, especially after a solid amount of hours.
But when I think of it as The Crew: Mountains edition, it makes far more sense honestly. Still needs a good amount of challenges and some races though, I feel like there should be a "Campaign" of sorts at least

I don't know OP... this game looks a lot better. Considering its not by Ubishit ;)

And you're getting this estimate based on a three minute trailer?

Looked like fun, but I'm worried how the depth will be. It reminds me a bit of a snow sport version of Fuel: Expansive map that you probably have to unlock doing various races with liveries and equipment unlocks scattered about and fun to explore for a while, but ultimately empty and souless.

I guess one thing Steep has going for it over Fuel though is players coming in and out much like Souls phantoms, so there's at least some life.

I'll probably check it out though just because it looks like fun

no way im paying this 60$ 20$ at most

In that 3 minute trailer, they completed 1/20th of the game. Do the math.

Worried about the open world. They better make some actual quality tracks. Not to hype about just going down on procedurally generated mountain slopes

How did you see it was 1/20th?

Looks the same as Snow, and that isn't very fun

I think the only unnecessary part of it is paragliding, as paragliding is slow and not fun at all. Now wingsuit gliding could be fun just by itself since you're going so incredibly fast. Add a ton of tricks you can do while snowboarding, contests to see who can do the best/most tricks and it could be a very fun game.
