The dungeons will probably have puzzles. I personally think the puzzles are something they should have less of. Twilight Princess especially went overboard with puzzles. But there will undoubtedly be puzzles.

Despite the fact that Zelda games really change things up more than most series and are only superficially similar.

World isn't the linear, closed-in shit of Skyward Sword. There's a climbing mechanic so the world actually has a lot of verticality now. Shield surfing. Combat looks way improved with loads of weapons and shit like jumping. Enemies changing behaviour due to time of day/weather. Survival elements.

This is a pretty drastic change. Idiots just see the same character and go "woooww same game".

This is Dark Souls and Zelda's basic combat flow. They are the exact same. The only difference is in Zelda you can take a fair share of hits and enemies don't mob you. Dark souls also has more DEX based combat potential and mechanics such as parry and two handed carry, but the basic design philosophy and gameplay loop is the same.

It doesn't look any more similar to Dark Souls than Ocarina of Time.

That last one is definitely not confirmed. The art style certainly doesn't capture the girtty 80s anime style. And the game design remains to be seen.

I certainly hope it will be the true Zelda 1 revival that Aonuma claims it is. But while I'm optimistic about everything I'm seeing, I'm just not seeing that yet.

There are stamina losses for blocking and enemies don't flinch constantly, which are massive differences that completely change how it plays. You're full of shit and you know it.

But it won't work here. The game looks neat but when it comes out, we'll remember that Zelda has and always will be, pap games for children and casuals. If it's anything like any other Zelda there will be heart pieces and fairy fountains all over the place. And that's a problem because Zelda has never incentivized exploration because all the games are piss easy.

In Dark Souls, exploration is a central mechanic of the game because it can reward you with a weapon, item or spell that can help you with a boss thats kicking your ass. Unless you're under the age of 12, Zelda will never kick anybody's ass.
