No companion

>no companion
>no longass fetch quests tutorial
>minimal handholding
>completely notlinear, can do shrines in any order
>huge open world full of stuff to see
>enormous amount of weapons and armour
>RPG elements without going overboard with it
>improved combat system
>takes inspiration from the first LoZ
Aonuma is the saviour of Nintendo.
The only one in there that cares about the fans and listen to their suggestions.
He should replace Tanabe, Miyamoto, Sakamoto, everyone.
Apologize to him now.

>No music

>looks and plays like a ps2 game
>Nintentoddlers actually happy about this

How do they keep dungeons interesting if they can all be done at level 1?

It worked out so well for Oblivion and Elder Scrolls those dungeons were so interesting.

you sure had a powerful ps2

Shrines aren't main plot dungeons. Pay attention to what they're saying

>Huge open world
implying this is a good thing. Would rather have well designed tighter areas than a big empty sandbox.

Those are just the shrines.
For the proper dungeons I guess you're gonna need specific sets of powers.

>How do they keep dungeons interesting if they can all be done at level 1?
Shrines aren't dungeons

Then why did you complain about Skyward Sword overworld?

same thing that makes Souls areas interesting. your character strength doesnt even matter. They can just do wat ALBW did or even Zelda 1. You can be severely "under-leveled" and still do it if you're good enough
No over world is just as bad of an extreme

>I have never played a PS2 game

ALBW did it wrong. Everything was piss easy beause of the not linearity.

No companion is better than a shit companion, but its worse than a good one like the king.

The King was so irrelevant he could've even not been there.
I never felt he was a "companion".

Maybe they'll be like in Zelda 1 where you can do most of the dungeons in any order but strong enemies like wizzrobes waiting to murder you in the later numbered ones.

Thats the whole point. He was a cool character by himself but minimally intervened when it was needed.

>Aonuma is the saviour of Nintendo.
>When he was the asshole responsible for ruining the fucking franchise in the first place

While Zelda 1 did it right. Zelda 1 had nonlinearity but also ramped up the difficulty so that while you COULD do dungeons out of order, you had to actually fucking survive if you wanted to do them out of order.

Fucking masterpiece of a game.

He saved Nintendo by stopping being a retard and taking things to how they were before he got there?

>you had to actually fucking survive if you wanted to do them out of order.
We've seen only the first area, and there are already enemies that will one shot you who aren't even moving around. You can bet that unless you have good armour, potions and much better weapons, you'll die to normal mobs in areas beyond your "level". Of course if you're good you can still do it, which will make for some great speedrun strats, but this game looks pretty zelda 1 to me in that regard

No, you're only fixing your own fuck ups. Be careful from now on Aounuma.

Nintendo used to listen to the fans before him? News to me.
And all the other hacks there should follow his example now since they obviously can't make good decisions on their own anymore.

I just hope hero mode is available since the beginning.

There's always the option of going in Naked at 3 hearts during the whole game. Viable enough since they seem to have potions for ice and I would assume for fire as well. No idea underwater and such. However if Hero Mode makes the enemies more aggressive then that would be a great thing that should be there right from the start. Man Dark Souls really has me spoiled in regards to expecting any enemy to be able to kill me instead of taking 1 quarter of a heart away.

>b-but the graphics!!

Wh-why not explore the incredible world of Skyrim again instead, this time in HD! Everything works I promise!

They should be more aggressive and able to take more damage.
Most of them died with 1-2 hits.

The WiiU is still fucked and lost the one thing that could've been a good system seller, so no, Nintendo still fucked over their own fans. Anyone who bought a WiiU this generation got ripped off and should've waited until the NX.

Damage taken by enemies is fine, 2-3 hits is what initial enemies take in other games. At least random low level mobs. Low levels had 12 health and leader mobs had 72, they were doing 5 dmg per hit on average, so damage taken is alright. However they do need to be more aggressive and dish out way more damage. Or gank up on you a lot more.

I'll apologize to him when he apologizes to Yoshiaki Koizumi.

I think all these people who say the original NES Zelda was the best are going to backpeddal when this comes out and say it's too nonlinear.

Calling it.

I guess you wont be able to access them without going to certain key shrines that only activates at a certain part the main quest.

Yeah, the biggest bummer for me.

I guess I understand, but they better have good music for the temples.

I don't think that's true. Maybe it's not this way for everyone but there were some legitimately good games for Wii U and I don't regret buying it.

Do we have confirmation there are still dungeons? I know this sounds crazy but better safe than sorry.

Koizumi is the one that should apologize for this piece of shit.

They said it a million times on stream bro. Shrines are just 1 puzzle with the first few Shrines giving you special powers at the beginning and the rest of the Shrines spread around the world being 1 puzzle using several powers + items to clear them for special treasures like a very powerful sword, a revive potion/fairy or some shit like that.

Shrines are just puzzles with rewards while dungeons are, well you know, typical zelda dungeons with a boss and shit.

That game is brilliant. Koizumi didn't direct it anyway so...

Just like Aonuma hasn't directed Zelda since TP.
And 3DW was garbage.

They confirmed you can fight off frostbite in colder areas even if you don't have winter gear by using torches and staying close to fire.

But how many dungeons there will be?

Forgot that, yes. However I find it kind of difficult to find an ice torch for when you inevitably go into the volcano. I hope there are ice potions of some sort.
