I actually liked the Chronicles series because of the extra chapters that explained Wesker's, Ada's, and later Krauser's actions from their poimt of view while also providing extra files concerning pretty much every game, providing quite a lot of detail to some monsters, experiments and other characters

Zero isn't that bad desu but it might be the dumbest, still has two of the best protagonists.
