I've never played a Forza game before. How do they compare to Gran Turismo? Will this be the first good racing sim game for PC? I'm considering upgrading to w10 and buying a wheel to play it if it's good.

Horizon isn't a sim. Probably why I enjoy them more than the mainline series.

This was one of the few games that interested me, looked breddy gud desu.

I played for a horizon 2 a few time and I can say it was one of the best racing games I've played. Graphics are beautiful (even on xbox one), open world is nice and diverse, races are nice and diverse, a good range if cars to race in from ricer nissans to big 4x4's. Horizon 3 looks to have taken that to the next level. This is probably my most anticipated game coming out this year just because I love racing games and this ticks all the boxes for me. I'm sure you'll love it op.

is it senseless to force oneself to play all the entries in a racing series before playing the newest one? for example, playing through every forza game before touching horizon 3

Too obvious.

It's about the same as GT games, i.e. not sims at all. If you want proper simulation go for Asetto corsa or iRacing. This is the same as TDU games and The Crew: roll around the open world in cars you like and admire the scenery.

As a G29 owner, I'm really pushed to find a track racing sim I'm happy with. I refuse to pay for iracing.

Forzas is an arcade game.

It's an arcade open world racer not a sim, still, it'll be the first good racing game for PC in a very long time. The soundtrack is what makes this game so much more fun than it already is though.

For rfactor1, or any older game, you have to play arround with the profiler, like using a g27 profiler, wich can use legacy drivers to be recongnized as a driving force pro, wich keep the force feedback and the 900°.

Forza horizon 2 is honestly the best racing game I have ever played. That being said it is 100% NOT a sim. It's an arcade racer with a buttload of real world cars, nice visuals, a huge open world and really fun gimmick races (like racing against a train).

If you're playing a sim- an actual simulator, not a Gran Turismo simcade- graphics are secondary to how it actually plays.

Anyone seen a city yet? They mentioned the Yarra Valley and great Ocean road so I imagine a small recreation of Melbourne will be in?

Any real Forza 6 or Horizon 2 players here able to tell me if these games are still crunching livery designs into low resolutions in-race? I work so hard on my car designs and they look pixelated when not in a menu. You would think that POWER OF THE XBONE wouldn't need to cheapen on livery texture resolution.

in the page there is a 1hour demo to try, and the installer to crack it later.
also, i had a g25, and i used a very nice program from logitech wich delete any existing profile, and reset it to the default, so you can solve calibration problems, and also shit like axis not working.
I dont know wich place is best if you want to going deeper if it dosent work.
/ovg/ is full of bronys and the worst of other boards, but they like cars, and if you dont talk too much about miatas and twingos, they could give you a hand.
and in the generals is Simulation generals, but i really dont know how experience they are with racing games, they are mostly DCSfags, also good people, buy maybe they cant help you.
