A lot of cool details revealed about this game in the past 14 hours or so

youtube.com/watch?v=ASpQ5D0EvZ0&feature=youtu.be

They acknowledge their mistake with leaving their horror roots and have vowed to get back to them not only that but they wanted to stress the fact their will be puzzles and "resource management" some people thought that meant food and water but they are tards

They explained it will not be a gunfest. But their will of course be guns. Oh and herbs are still a thing so thats..cool.

But I don't think anyone has figured anything out since we found the damn axe as far as the demo goes. Rumors say its bugged or just impossible to figure out. It's gonna be all chance like with PT.

I for one am pretty stoked with the direction. I can't see how you wouldn't be as a fan of the franchise and horror games in general.

*there........

gonna bomb and be YouTube bait

why do you think that?

Just like all the other highly successful FPS horror games that have bombed by being YouTube bait?

and this one actually has combat..sooo

Based on interviews I'm actually pretty excited for this

it really seems like they are giving fans what they want rather than more action bs. i didnt expect it

gotta love the resident evil fanbase, begs for a return to horror, gets a return to horror... then complains about how it was changed.

a lot of the OG trilogy fans want the fixed camera angle back and shit. they say the lack of control is part of the experience. I say its flawed game design.

I cant understand the people whining "BWAH THIS ISNT RE ANYMORE".
Fuck off, the series was literally COD 2.0 by this point. I am glad they are trying something new that should have happened at RE6.

I for one welcome the new take on the series. At the moment I'll be buying it day 1 just to show Capcom and other developers that they should listen to their fans once in a while.

woohoo another walking simulator.

...

Just finished the demo. That ending was crazy. Did not expect to see Wesker there, but the whole "it was a training simulator" cliche was unneeded. Can't wait for the game to come out.

>bomb
>youtube bait

PICK ONE

Worst part is that main character revealed to be Ark Thompson. Who wanted that faggot back?

...

is this loss

fml this place sucks

come tell this idiot how you did it, itsnemmy

Even Kamiya thinks Resident Evil 7 is looking good, why don't you Sup Forums?

gamespot.com/articles/scalebound-director-talks-delay-reacts-to-surprisi/1100-6440886/

i think the reception is pretty positive everywhere =]

Do you agree?

Because Capcom can't write or direct *anything* that isn't stupidly campy, let alone a good horror game. I wasn't scared by Resident Evil when it was released, and it didn't take much to scare me at the time. If you're not scared by it then it's just a puzzle adventure game with bad writing.

>This is the future we chose

Didn't the remakes sell better then 6? Why do people still think this way?

I'm sad with so much negativity the game is getting, butthurt action babies disliking the trailer on youtube without even knowing what the game is about, calling it Silent Hill or whatever.

I for one am happy with the new direction, RE6 was a mess and didn't know what it wanted to be, RE7 makes it clear what is wants to be, an horror game, and for that I respect this new team and I'll fully support this project, it might end up being a failure, but still at least it has an identity unlike RE5 or RE6.

> Jumpscare meme game
what is there to be excited for , from the demo atleast it seems the game isnt going to be a survival horror in the same sense as RE 1,2,3,4 or Silent hill ?

>Because Capcom can't write or direct *anything* that isn't stupidly campy, let alone a good horror game

This is a new team, composed of both veteran RE devs aswell as new people, it just came to our knowledge that they have Spec Ops writer working on it, aswell as people who worked on PT.

Eh

RE's horror part never was about PT-like discomfort and paranormal experiences

It was an atmospheric hopelessness and a lingering sensation of "I know what's going to happen and I'm fucked"

I don't know where the main game is going to go, but as far as my opinion counts, this demo/vr experience is far from being Resident Evil

>blasting away zombies and other monsters in third PERSION view
ISIS PLEASE

>welcome to the family
>son

he's gonna force you to marry with his ghost daughter
or
you're ghost chick's bf and didn't know she was a ghost and his father was a semi-zombie psycho

screencap this

Why not just play Dead Rising? Or any Zombie game in the market.

Shit, I should blast his ass with a spoon.

Is Mr. Welcometothefamilyson a triggered event at the end of a branching path you can take or can he appear at random too?
Like, does he always smack you in the face after answering the phone?

>does he always smack you in the face after answering the phone?

So far yes, but someone said there's a way to not have him spawn after the phone and manage to leave the house, though people haven't figured out how yet.

after answering the phone if you walk backwards the right way and make it down back to the vhs and go into the video he wont spawn until you try to leave the house.

But it was. From the very beginning, Resident Evil featured guns and varied enemy types, along with an emphasis on speed running. Even the Battle Minigame was a thing from the very first Resident Evil, after all. Essentially a proto-mercenaries mode.

All Resident Evil 4 did was change the perspective and make button prompts more clear because, again, Resident Evil 3 also had QTE dodging and zombie pushing, it just wasn't as obvious. The only mistake the series did was including co-op and too many fucking set-pieces, and that had nothing to do with the guns.

After all, wasn't Nemesis scary despite the fact that you could blast his face with a shotgun? Wasn't Lisa Trevor terrifying despite you having Barry and his Magnum for back-up? What about the Regenerators?

This new game essentially turns everything into yet another spooky walking simulator, which might be scary, but the hell it has the solid gameplay games like RE4 and RE2 had.

It reduces the series from something you play over and over again into stuff you watch PewDiePie play.

People have found two endings, I heard third hand a dev said there was 5.

In the vein of copying PT it'll probably be some super weird mechanical bullshit that involves screaming "JILL" while ramming your dick in the controller port

Yeah, I think you're right.

>Lisa Trevor

Man, what the fuck is wrong with that girl? How she survived so many tests?

killers name is jack maybe that will help lolol

Director already confirmed combat and inventory management will be back.

ign.com/articles/2016/06/15/e3-2016-13-things-you-should-know-about-resident-evil-7

Why are people so eager to judge a game based on a teaser?

Maximilian Dood said on twitter that he spoke with a Capcom employee who told him nobody found the actual ending, and that those other "endings" are actuall game overs.

I really hope they don't abandon RE waifus. Is the artstyle different from RE6? Gonna be a shame if everyone turns out like Revelations Claire. Oh god.

Genetics and the progenitor virus synchronizing with her DNA

What are the two endings? I only played it once.

I thought I'd made it out and got that 'welcome to the family' event. Was that one of your mentioned endings?

no the one you got is super rare can you explain how you got it? no one is sure how to trigger it.

Wow OP, nice video. Keep it up!

Weapons and enemies are already confirmed why do you people go around spreading bullshit?

You either go through the back door and get welcome dad, or you go upstairs with the fuse and get the same welcome dad ending.

Right, thanks user

WELCOME TO THE FAMILY, DANTE

you talking about using the back door key?

Pretty sure youre not in the same house during vhs mode. Or some fucking time did lapse because things look a little bit different.
The exit door from real world and exit door from vhs world look completly different. The door where senpai man comes after you open it

I found the lockpick in the video section. I climb down the ladder and die. In the present I still can't find the lockpick anywhere.

The finger and axe mystery remains unsolved?

about 10k total on all of them. just from posting on once in a while. ty

>no subscribers
that's kind of sad

subs are hidden. learn your shit. it would say 0. 200 subs since starting may 27th. most of them are tards like you but they watch, so i dont mind.

>hiding subscribers because you only have 200
that's kind of sad

Oh I know so sad. But please just keep bumping me back to the top of the page.

>tfw I have 5k subs but only because I used bots like 6 years ago to distribute rat infested hacks for online games

This isn't really returning to roots seeing as the gameplay of Beginning Hour is going to be the same in the final game, it's cribbing off of streamer bait like Amnesia and PT. Like a shooter 'reinventing' itself by borrowing from Call of Duty and Halo then sticking the brand name on it.

My dad works at Nintendo and he talked to a capcom employee about the demo and he said "fuck off retard."

Might be a clue

you have no face.

>have 3-4 subscribers
>dont have ps4 anymore so my twitch will be dead
>was only doing random shit in bloodborne anyway

This isn't just that Megaman 9 secret thing again is it?

anyone has seen this guy? He looks boring as fuck

youtube.com/watch?v=V8zyAKMU1Jw

>PewDiePie.
For God sakes.

That's because you're underaged.

>youtube bait

these hot new E3 memes are sweet bro, share sum more!

Why do people say outlast cash in? Outlast wasn't even a good game, there's better half-life horror mods way better than it. There's nothing bout outlast to cash in on, maybe break even in sales with part 2.

There's a huge time lapse. Like 3 years.

it did really well you fucking tard lmfao

Outlast is borderline pewdiepie tier horror. It's equal to Five Nights at Freddys.

Your opinion on a game has no impact on how successful a game may be

I guess you can't read.

It did really well you fucking tard.

You asked what was there to cash in on you just answered it. They could cash in on the piediepie tier horror.

>Letting Youtube memers taint the quality of Outlast.

I'M FUCKING DYING

Because it's popular

Probably legit. That sure sounds like someone from Capcom.

especially if they were talking to some shit teir nintendo employee

for the same reason i think any game turned into another genre is bad
if you want to make call of duty , make a fucking call of duty ripoff and call ir the infinite blowjob for all i care , dont put the fucking name of an already existing franchise that isn't a fucking fps

Really makes you think

>I've never seen a Pewdiepie video
>Turn it on out of curiosity
>First thing I see is a whimpy faggot playing a loud noise

Its pretty much what I expected

...

Feels like they're channel too much Sweet Home when RE has always been about rationalizing zombies and monsters. Not saying the RE name is tacked on, but after so many "Umbrella isn't really dead lel" stories it potentially diminishes the credibility of this direction.

MAYBE they're just trying to take a little of the first and a little of the remnants of RE4's scrapped plans. Probably wouldn't mind that, but this is what should have followed RE5 from the beginning.

>"because is scary"
Forgot your upside down question marks on the second panel.

the fuck is this an FPS?
if so its gonna be fucking shitter than any other re games

First Person is literally the only way a modern take on Resident Evil 1 can work.

They made absolutely the right choice here. People need to stop screaming Outlast clone and actually think about how well FP fits the old RE formula.

To be honest I don't really understand the comparison with Outlast. I can see why people said it was a PT rip-off, but the only similarity with Outlast is the VHS segment and the first person perspective.

>First Person is literally the only way a modern take on Resident Evil 1 can work.

How so?

no you dont understand anything about survival horror games.
this just panders to the western aaa video game market and dudebro scum

hell, re is officially dead. fuck crapcom they deserve to die

>How so?

Because small and cramped environments are generally terrible with a free third person camera. The original RE could be very scary because your field of view could be very limited, but a fixed camera and tank controls would never be on the table for RE7. So first person is the reasonable choice. It adds that limited visibility horror needs. While also making stuff like a smaller mansion setting work better, which would feel pretty contrived with the RE4 camera.

but user remake is that, 6 is some weird ass interactive movie with walking

Good point. I still can't get used to the original RE controls after being pampered with shoulder cam controls.

I'll wait and see how well the first person combat works before making any judgements though.

is the real game going to be fully first person or be third person?

Didn't the PC version of the remake include an option for non-tank controls, ie push up and character goes north...?

>Didn't the PC version of the remake include an option for non-tank controls, ie push up and character goes north...?

It did. But then you get that wonderful problem of having the camera suddenly switch on you which results in the directions of the analog changing like in DMC.
