You'll probably get another one sometime after Nioh.

I love Reisen!

The 3rd one killed the series for me

Yaiba was shite
NG3 was okish

Technically, I lived 5 years with sub-par shite. Are they gonna prevail?

I liked the first 3D NG and liked it a lot. Haven't played the others.

NES Ninja Gaiden is best Ninja Gaiden. I wouldn't mind another one like those.

>tfw still play NG1/2 twice a year

NG 2 was really good, though probably a bit of a step down from NG '04. Vanilla NG 3 was crap, but Razor's Edge made it a lot more playable (But it's still the weakest of the three by a lot). Yaiba is crap, but has neat art-direction and some good character designs.

Would Nioh be deep action game? Gameplay seems shitty to me from trailers and videos I've found online.

I thought 3 was OK, nowhere near as good as the previous 2 though. I did go in with rock bottom expectations though.

>tfw no video game will ever be as good as Ninja Gaiden Black

why live

Do you guys think that BG3 sucking is related to Tomonobu Itagaki leaving team ninja? Did he fuck the franchise forever?

The second incarnation of the game was actually canned specifically on the basis that it was deemed too similar to NG, though some of that residual influence is still there. Combat feels like it's own thing, but takes influence from a bunch of stuff, including Souls/BB, Onimusha, NG, Way of the Samurai, Bushido Blade and Genji. It feels quite slow and methodical at first, but when you get a feel for the stamina management and Ki pulse system (Think Gears of War's reload mechanic in regards to stamina recovery) as well as stance switching and the rather big custom move sets, it's possible to be a bit more adventurous, though it still is a lot slower than NG/DMC/Bayo etc.

Here's an example of someone really good dicking around with it.

NGB and DMC3SE with style switch mod are the pinnacle of action games and will never be touched. Not to say Bayonetta/NG2/DMC4SE are great but they will never pierce the clouds and touch that unachievable pinnacle.

NG2B and DMC5 were the only chances and Reuben was a fucking rusing piece of shit and NG2B won't happen because cookie face is gone.

While I see the game's own elegance in the gameplay, I miss my combos :(

>cookie face

Someone has a husbandu...

Well, at least it's coming back in August!

>Mfw people act like hes a hack because of Devils Third

You can see the anger and despair when he had to talk about it. That game barely got pushed out and was in development hell especially since its original backer THQ went bankrupt. Yet people give him shit like he was supposed to make NG3 the true version and out perform all his past gems.

After RE, I don't care if it ever comes back to be honest. It'll have the same garbage director with even more retarded mechanics than steel on bone (somehow). All they needed to do was perfect 2's framework and it'd have been perfect. Series is dead.

>Sigma 2 apologists

>Hayashi

I still remember that name
I still remember the Sonyggers acting like Sigma1/2 were superior games
I still remember when NG3 was coming out and they said it would be good
It wasn't it was his first real game alone and it was shit
He then copy pasted like 10 bosses from NG2 and people said RE was good.

Its sad that id consider Devils Third better then Vanilla NG3.

The problem is I have Xbox. I am not sure if I want to make the leap into PS. These monies are killing me ...

Ayane Gaiden when?

She's too husy playing volleyball.

>NG3
> first real game alone

He didn't participate in the development of NG3

Hayashi only produced 3; it was directed by Fumihiko Yasuda, one of the level designers on NG2, who's now directing Nioh.

Fugg.

Hey, that's not a bad thing.

Bikinis, man.

>Fumihiko Yasuda, one of the level designers on NG2, who's now directing Nioh
So no high hopes for Nioh?

Actually my mistake, he co-directed vanilla, didn't he? Odd that he got rubbed off for RE, maybe that was just Yasuda on clean-up duty?

I really wanna play these games, but I don't know which ones to play. I have a 360 and PS3, so which ones should I get?

Buy Sigma on the PS3 and vanilla 2 on the 360. Get Razor's Edge 3 and Yaiba Z on the 360 as well if you're a masochistic completionist.

>Yaiba Z
