WW style is good for WW, but it's hardly the best style. A style more like this and pic related woulda been perfect for BotW.

The art style needs to match the mood of the game. Art style in BotW is a bit ugly, and doesn't quite fit the setting either.

They said they were going for anime visuals, in which case, they really should have gone to one of the most renowned animators in the world, and asked him to design Link and a few other sketches for them, and then hired decent artists to do the rest of the art in a Ghibli-like style.

I'm starting to like this game but the empty plateau lacking any music might be too much for me to handle. The physics based tools and puzzles look great but the overworld is really looking like the bad kind of vacant open world that's killing the genre.

I think that's mostly them going crazy overboard with not wanting to show anything related to the game or story at all.

Already played it a while ago, I already finished all the single player games I were interested in (Bayo2, W101, 3D World, Hyrule Warriors, XCX, etc.) and got bored of MK8/Sm4sh/Splatoon multiplayer. I mean, I guess I'll continue playing games on my 3DS and PC until Zelda, but it's sad to see the Wii U become a Netflix machine until then.

The reason there are so many remakes and remasters is game take longer to make, I'm glad though, this gives me the opportunity to come back and play retro games I missed I wouldn't have otherwise
