Yes.

It's the only ending that brings back the sun.

>not being comfy together with your keeperfu as the flame fades
>linking a shitty faded flame

Is having sight in DaS a good thing or a bad thing?

You know, is it "Blind to evil" or a "See the truth" kind of deal.

'Cause that's the question you need to answer to determine whether giving the Fire Keeper's eyes was the right choice.

Who made such a terrible drawing of my waifu?????

What do you expect from a Souls game? You should be so glad you're waifu doesn't die in a questline.

>doesn't die

>that moment when this is exactly what happens

Of course I did, the age of fire has been going on for too long. Bring on the age of dark and let the cycle commence.

It's completely irrelevant to anything besides Fire Keepers.

Additionally, one ending isn't inherently more good or evil than the other

Because not giving her the eyes is propaganda by the Gods.

Anri doesn't die though, or at least she / he gets revived in the Hollow Lord ending.

Anri wasn't my waifu. Our marriage was the typical sword-through-the-face politcal kind.

Pretty much this. Except stealing the fire when betraying the fire keeper is pretty much the most evil ending.

I gave her the eyes so I can step on her head :3

>Give her the eyes
>Force her to percieve eldritch abominations
>Kill her
>Make her do it again

I preferred the hollow ending.
Endings in Dark Souls always kind of suck though.

Sometimes it's just a generic (kinda blue-ish?) hollow kneeling, not sure why that changes

Do not bully the Firekeeper.

>percieve eldritch abominations
You have a very active imagination. Or bad reading comprehension.

Why couldn't have married Yuria instead?

What's the point of the ending where you give her the eyes, have her put out the flame, kill her and then kindle the flame? WHy not just kindle the flame?

Because shes a skeleton on the inside.

im not exactly sure but this is how I think it goes

kindling flame: age of fire resets, but is weak as fuck.

maiden gets fire: fire is gone from world but held on by maiden

killing maiden: same thing but you have fire instead

dark lord: ALL fire is gone from everywhere, the cycle finally continues onto age of dark and mankind reigns supreme

So having sex with her would be boning?/

It's the Caim ending. You don't take the flame for anyone but yourself.

Yeah, and I also ground her face into paste with my boot. Feels good, man.

That's the most incomprehensible ending of the bunch. One user theorized it's the coward's ending where you pussy out at the very last moment and want to keep the Flame lit instead (without it succeeding anymore), thus you have the narrator shittalking your character's incompetence.

All these years later, Maiden is still the best.

Non royalty only gets to be mistresses.

>gundyr scrounging all that puss up
god bless him

Why does Miazaki hate closure?
All the endings are shit and don't lead anywhere
>link the fire and fuck the world over again
>don't link it and still fuck it over
>Lord of hollows ending is anything more then serpent propaganda

If he is really gonna feed us that "heat death of the univers" up to your oven interpolation shit with the ending at least let me kill Kaath and Framt so i can end it all with peace of mind

I think sword through head implies death, sure he/she gets resurrected later if you swing that way

the fuck does death bother the undead?

I'd consider the betrayal ending to be the most mysterious one of all since it's not clear what exactly the Ashen One intends to do by reaching for the clutched First Flame, but I highly doubt it's to reklindle it. It seems clear that the Ashen One is motivated purely by greed, and such an act marks the ending out as the most evil.

It doesn't, that's why Anri comes back in the Dark Lord ending.

>don't link it and still fuck it over

The ending is not just a matter of not linking the fire. It's extinguishing the First Flame entirely, an act that only a Fire Keeper can perform, putting the world out of its constant state of misery that not even linking can fix anymore. And it's not just end of everything because a very important part of the ending is that the Fire Keeper has visions of a whole new world eventually being born again, a sense of hope that things will get better.

It's excellent closure for Dark Souls as a whole.

What did he do again?

I still don't buy this
It' sounds nice and but that would be to simple to be true.

We already saw what not having fire in the world does to it.
It's basically just letting the abyss take over.
And i know the firekeeper tells you about the vision but god knows how long before that set's in or if it's even true at all.

What i want is a true solution
Something like what Aldia was talking about
A true escape form the cycle, not just to start a new age of fire staving of the dark again for a little while

He loved the booty too much.

Why is Doll so short? Doll is toll!

>Be the pawn of the two primordial shot heads again endings
>Or hold hands with a cute girl by taking her purity.

Why on Earth would you not give her eyes.

Who can blame him?

everything wrong

Go back to being an easy boss, Vordt

I give her the eyes because I prefer the alternate Firelink music

But one thing to remember, as per the opening monologue of Dark Souls, is that the First Flame is what causes the miserable Dark to exist. Therefore, when the First Flame is destroyed entirely, Dark (capital D) ceases to exist, as well. We may see the world go dark (lowercase d), but what's really happening is that the world is returning to a purgatory-like Age of Ancients, a state of nothingness until new life is born again. And even the nothingness is not that bad since you still have your waifu with you.

I also don't necessarily think that the new life will be in the form of another First Flame and the Dark that comes with it. It may be something entirely different. And even if it's another First Flame, it's better to have that in its new and healthy form instead of being old and worn out.

Depends if you do the "secret" ending and kill the fire keeper

this
This music is so much better

Not linking is closure. Every other ending only delays the inevitable, which is the first flame fading and the world going dark. By giving the firekeeper the flame you put the currently dying world out if its misery and bring hope for a new one.

It puts a permanent end to everything mate.

Which is still the best ending.

I just mean if you don't go on to New Game+, it gets rid of the angry eclipse sun.

No it doesn't, it's highly implied a new fire will eventually be born.

You're basically sending the world into a long, well-deserved sleep instead of force-feeding it coffee.

>You're basically sending the world into a long, well-deserved sleep instead of force-feeding it coffee.
That's... a surprisingly good anology.

So if Yuria and the Sable Church of Londor are followers of Kaathe, does that mean the dark lord ending of DS1 is canon? That would mean that Yuria is basically on the same side as the Darkwraiths? Are the Darkwraiths servants of the church, implied by the Londor spell you find in Farron close by where the Londor pale shade invades you? Or are they just scrubs that Kaathe abandoned? Does the Lord of Hollows ending entail that they world is going to swept up by the Abyss? And is the Deep the same as the Abyss, or is it some other realm entirely? Are the Deep worshippers essentially on the same side of the Sable church?

Fuck.

...

It's like TES' Dragonbreak. All endings are canon.

Because he was to savage

so will the DLC add a new ending(s)?

I want an ending where you get hammered on Siegbräu with Siegward and Greirat.

There better be an Aldia ending

Pretty certain that both endings of DaS1 remain open to being the canon one. Even in the Dark Lord ending, the First Flame still exists in the Age of Dark and can be relit, which would cause the Chosen Undead's empire to crumble and set Kaathe back to making plans to start another Age of Dark.

Both the Darkwraiths and the Sable Church of Londor were conceived by Kaathe, but it's up in the air as to whether or not they work together. It can very well be that the Darkwraiths were just dumped by Kaathe because he no longer considered them useful in light of his newer strategy. I don't think it really matters, either way.

The Lord of Hollows ending is just the Dark Lord ending redux as the beginning of another Age of Dark with you as the ruling tyrant of a miserable world. What makes it different is that you absorb the First Flame unto yourself, making it that much harder for the Age of Dark to be brought to an end. It should still be doable, though, provided that a Lord of Cinder candidate can kill you, first.

Though the Deep has common elements to the Dark, it's ambiguous as to whether or not its the same thing. In any case, it's pretty clear that the followers of Londor and the followers of the Deep are completely separate factions. I don't think they'd work together under ordinary circumstances.

if there's one fucking character who should have returned it's aldia

instead we get andre just because

Everything has to end some time, user.

going to ng+ gets rid of the eclipse, its not dependent on an ending

where the FUCK is the dlc for this game

Course I did.

Then I made her put out the flame. Then I killed her.

God damn cycle needs to stop one way or another.

She wasn't ready for the succ

Delete this.

Still mad that Priscilla was cut as level up Maiden in DS ;-;

That's one thing i didn't like with that ending. There's clearly an emotional violence on display that wasn't intended as far as I'm concerned. I wanted things to end, because as far s I can say that's the only way for the firekeeper to finally be granted death. But there was no hatred or contempt, just pity.

The way things enfold though, there's a brutality, a contempt to it, that frames things quite differently.

I still think this and the no warp for most of the game is the best thing that happened to it. And one of the reasons why I much prefer it to 2 and 3. Especially 3 and all its shortcuts.

Up yours.

>Give firekeeper her eyes
>Cuddle with her in the dark until a new flame awakens

So, this is the best ending, right?

Sure did, because I felt no attachment to her at all. DS3 firekeeper is such a poor attempt at capturing Doll and Maiden in Black.

>it could be literal millions of years and you have thousands of abyss tentacles constantly prodding your holes

Dark Firelink wasn't fucked over with Abyss shit, it was just dark.

we're all a skeleton on the inside m8

you don't know what else could be there though

"Ashen One, can you hear my voice?"

Best ending.

>Inedex Gundyr clearly has abyss shit inside him the first time you fight him
I don't know man

I had to.

Name one thing worth saving. No advances have been made, the world has just gotten steadily worse and worse. The world died at the end of Gwyn's age, we just kept it on life support as a vegetable.

I mean fuck, are there even any honest to god fucking humans when the ashen one wakes? I think everyone's a hollow, an undead or an unkindled. Who is there to even save?

It really hits me when she says "Forgive me sister. may the flames guide thy way."

What the fuck happened?

incest

She wasn't too keen on getting impaled.

That's in the false Firelink, not the real one past Oceiros.

Wake me up when this snoozefest gets DLC. Fucking boring ass game.

youtube.com/watch?v=zjjVJbHD7D4

I'm still waiting for an answer to this shit.

>that sad tone she has
>tfw I don't want to make her sad anymore

My heart sank as soon as the music change.

>false Firelink
Not this shit again

>tfw getting female Anri to trust you just so you kill her later like a pig in a dark ritual

Feels bad man. She was too pure and naive.
But at least best girl didnt need to die for any of the endings.

Isn't it more like the future of the Firelink Shrine? seems more accurate.

the way she says "a world without fire" and her voice cracks a little.

Goddamn that's some good voice acting

Fucking everything has a good voice.

>The jailers and that creepy laugh they make after chasing you
>The mocking laugh or saying "I'll cleanse the bastard's curse."
>Lothric's dialogue

And so much more.

Firelink past Oceiros is in the past. It's still the "real" one, just in the past.

see

>the jailers laugh
I love this so much

Oh god Kharla made my dick so fucking hard every time she spoke
I wasn't even a magicfag but i bought all her stuff anyway just to get all her dialog

Truly the first Dark souls character i have wanted to fuck

I'm excited for all the new monsters and bosses in the DLC. I just want to see how creepier it can get.

Hey, I like Priscilla. Just not as a Firekeeper. I just don't much like the idea f a firekeeper being anything bu someone that tends to the fire's very existence.

I much prefer the idea that you're the one throwing things into the fire to give yourself power - in double-edged bonfire of vanity if you will - to the idea of a magic maiden that has to act as a mediator to infuse that power into you.

Thematically I find the first proposition stronger.

Yeah, that's fair enough.
