I have that same one except white
blame my autocorrect nigga
something that isnt labeled as "gamer gear" or similar
A headset implies it has a microphone.
I use the steelseries Siberia, but its because it was on clearance so the price was right. PC Gamer has an article about the best headsets i believe
You just posted the only one worth a damn.
What sane people do is research ideal headphones for their price range and then stick on a Zalman or Antlion microphone.
a headset also usually have shit sound and quality for the money
get audiotechnica ath m50 and a modmic
get a real set of headphones and a real condenser microphone and the audio quality will be far superior than any gamer headset you can buy
define gaming
Logitech G930s are pretty comfy and sound good. Great mic quality too.
Reminder to get those 3rd party warranties at checkout. My headset broke after 3 years and the manufacturers warranty expired so I used the 3rd party one I had. They sent me 100 buckeroos for my $80 headset because they couldn't fix it.
Heeeeeeeey, I just bought one of these.
They sound good until one of their 50 different problems start occuring after 1 year.
I have the hyper cloud but I can still hear some stuff when I have them on.
Do I have good ears, or am I somehow just wearing them wrong?
>comfy and sound good
nope. you're just fucking idiot that buys "gayming" crap and think that they're good.
studio headphones destroy headests in every single way, especially comfort and sound
Nah, they're both comfy and sound good. Get over yourself. Not everyone wants to waste money on Beats like you.
>headset
The headset comes with 2 different ear-pads. One is comfy one is sound canceling.
The original Razer Carcharias, not the new green glowing piece of shit.
It has a shitty microphone (good enough for voice chat in gaming and skype) but the actual headphone audio quality is on par with a Sennheiser HD558 if you pair it with a dedicated sound card.
I would know, I have and use both. There is no discernible difference between them with a sound card.
Not him but maybe you just don't know any better?
No I do.
kek
lmao, what a delusional faggot.
superlux headphones cost less than 50e and sound WAY better than any logishit """headsets""".
but peasants like you will never understand this so it's pointless to waste time to your crap
ps. i hope that "beats" part was a joke
Don't get that headset. Everyone says it's amazing. It's not.
If it's the cloud 2, there's a buzzing/popping that will happen if you're using the USB adapter because it's shit.
The mic IS SO FUCKING QUIET. No one will hear you. You can't use mic boost, because, again, the shitty USB controller has its own built in driver that doesn't allow you to. Only way people can hear you is if you've got the fucking mic half an inch from your mouth, and then it catches breathing and shit and you sound like an idiot.
Don't fall into all the garbage reviews from people sent free review copies, because they'd never give it an honest review or they'll never get free shit again.
Now if it's the original cloud, or you plug it into your pc directly without the USB (you still need an extension cord because of short cable and an adapter to split the cable) it will work fine. No staric/pops, and I imagine you can boost the mic a bit through windows.
Sorry for the long post, don't even know if you were thinking about your pic. Just wanted to vent my frustration.
M40s are better for casual use
No they really don't. Sorry you fell for more of Sup Forums's memes.
>gaming headphones
>not playing on mute for ultimate challenge.
Wahhh i have to hear all the enemies around me or its not faiiiiirrr :''''(
I had these for three years. No problems apart from losing the connection but that was because I've got three laptops around my main rig and they were congesting the 2.4GHz spectrum.
I use these and my cellphone as a mic.
The stereo sound on them is seriously amazing.
I'm looking at the Cloud 1 right now, thanks.
I know about that buzzing, though. That's why I want to buy a new one.
I really hope you're not like most people who spend a shit ton on their super amazing sounding headphones and then buy a piece of shit $5 clip on mic and sound like garbage. Because guess what, that's what seems to happen.
>hyperX cloud
Thats just a rebranded Takstar HI2050.
i had multiple headsets years ago and then finally got my first pair of REAL headphones (beyerdynamic dt 770) and have never looked back.
headsets sound fucking awful. i've never heard of any headsets that actually have controlled and tight bass and detailed treble
Cool bandwagoning nigger, but the Solo 2 actually improved a lot up to the point where they're not that bad and a good entry point for normies.
The rest of the beats line is garbage tho
most headset microphones sound like a 2 cent mic
a $5 mic actually sounds good, like a lapel
Oh shit, those headphones are $100 now, they were $33 not long ago.
Just get whatever faggy gaming headset you want.
Yeah, I'd imagine you shouldn't have any problems with the cloud 1. Even when I plug in the cloud 2 to my pc directly, or my phone or something, they sound great. There just seems to be something busted with the USB box they give you.
Loving this pair. I suggest you browse Sup Forums for the flavor of the month affordable headphones. The prices seem to vary a lot.
>clip mics
Oh god, those always sound like garbage. Literal waste of money, if your friends can't hear/understand you what's the point of having a mic at all?
A desk mic would probably be way better
This is a good alternative if your headphones have replaceable cables.
is that 2gd
I've had those for 2 years and they're really great for their price but im not a poor nigger so I'd like to buy something similiar but better.
I just don't want a separate mic. I understand that's what you need to sound professional but for me the mic is only there for crucial communication so while I need it I don't really care how it sounds. I care about the audio quality. What's the best pair of headphones I can get with any type of mic attached to them?
I don't know what's happened recently but I got mine when they came out and back then they were very open about being rebranded and the original product cost exactly the same just with another logo
>What's the best pair of headphones I can get with any type of mic attached to them?
Most quality mid range and up headphones have detachable cables, you can add something like this
If you got the money to waste i can highly recommend my Sennheiser Game One.
Had the latest wirelss Logitech headset before and had only issues...it was fucking great once it worked but jesus was it trash overall, esp compared to my Sennheiser.
>clip mic / table mic fags
fucking commit yourself faggots. Not everyone has the space for it or wants to have one but instead a all in one package.
Not everyone here is a tryhard l2p fag that needs a HQ mic
>M50X
I have them, they are awesome, i still perfer my akg k272s over them
If you've got the cash, why not just get a desktop mic or something? Then it's not another cable hanging from your head.
I don't know how much better the sound quality can get while retaining a built in mic. There just seems to be a kind of quality wall you hit.
>audiotechnica ath m50
closed headphones for gaming
>modmic
overpriced crap
I have a headset with a detachable mic
Are these things overrated/overpriced at all? Also are there different models with different features because I'm seeing pricing between 30 bucks and 70
>blue
>snowball
>it's black
My Z22 headset is really good, the amp gives me lots of control. I bought it a couple of years ago, and it's still my best headset. Should be pretty cheap nowadays
Because I don't want a huge fucking thing on my desk taking up space and being in the way
amazon.com
Here you go
You can't really beat these when they're on sale for nearly 50% off.
apple user?
Been using these for years and haven't had any issues.
Blue mics are good. I have the iCE version, it's the same microphone as the normal snowball just doesn't have the different modes to pick up voice. Just from the front. I haven't owned many mics but ice is probably the best one for it's price.
This, I had the G930 (usb edition no audio/voice plug ins) and it worked fine for literally 6 months then it just started going to shit. Now I have the g430s and after 2 years they are going strong still.
no I have a huge tower pc with two monitors and a mechanical keyboard and a mouse pad about the size of a tablecloth and I like not having additional shit everywhere making my life difficult
thank for insight
Not sure I'd need an omnidirectional mic or any kind of padding for making caveman sounds in Skype so the cheaper ice version should be okay for me
Yeah, just make sure you get a pop filter as well. They're pretty cheap. I think Amazon had one at the top sellers list when I bought iCE, dragon something. Desktop mics pick up the "pop" noises like motherfuckers.
