The great debate. They're both cool but which one is worthier of a spot on a HG SS team?

The one you like better.

It depends on your team.

Chan for coverage
Lee if you want to hit faster and harder

Hitmonlee by a wide margin

...

Lee because he looks stupid and I love it.

Hitmonlee. Mega kick ftw.

This.
This if you're autistic.

Hitmontop

Always Lee

Named after Bruce Lee
Jump Kick
HIGH Jump Kick
His legs stretch
He isn't wearing any fucking clothing

Lee is the better Poke overall I find, can be defensive or offensive, but on an in game team chan has alot of good coverage, so I'd say chan in your case.

I've always preferred Chan, but Lee is objectively better.

Hitmonchan has better levelup moves for a normal playthrough if you have Iron Fist, but Hitmonlee has better stats. If you can handle only having Fighting type moves and I guess Blaze Kick to get past all the Poison types you'll find in HGSS then I'd go with Hitmonlee.

Hitmonchan gets all of the special punches, but his special attack is shit

Can't go wrong with the lee

Chan is cooler but Lee is better

Just like real life

Where is hitmonlee's penis

...

hitmonlee looks so weird just look at him

What the fuck is lee supposed to even be? A walking raisin?

Elemental punches are physical moves starting in gen 4

1. get either
2. breed with ditto
3. hatch egg
4. evolve to hitmontop

>They're both cool but which one is worthier of a spot on a HG SS team?
Neither

Actually as of DPP going forward, all the punches are physical. So Hitmonchan has the better overall coverage.

Of course none of this matters as single player runs in Pokemon are pretty easy, for the most part.

Though this is at least a better topic than all of the other pokemon threads that have leaked here
Chan always appealed to me more, a mix of my appreciation for boxing and a superficial sense that punching shit is more satisfying than kicking shit.

...

They both suck, I hope old shitty but cool pokemon like them get actual new evolutions so they're actually useful, not stupid mega evolutions.

t. never played a modern Pokemon game

Hitmonchan used to be part of the "Haymaker" classic deck known for being an unstoppable killing machine, so Hitmonchan.

I love Hitmonlee with a passion though.

Also, fun fact, but the awarded Winner Reverse-Holo Hitmonchan had 10 less HP than it usually does.

I always liked Hitmonlee better because I like head-torso fusion designs, like Z'Gok and Air Man.

I'd rather not get one of my favorites fucked by a shitty gen 7 design
It could look cool if they use the forgotten concept of modesty, but we all know that won't happen

You are playing a gen 2 (remake) game. Neither, Heracross should be your fighting mon

Hey, blame the people that bitched about the Gen 4 evolutions. Thanks to them, some mons will NEVER get a true evolution.

Mega Hitmonlee would be the only pokemon with Dragon/Fighting type

as long as fairies get a nerf along with Steel types

Now that you mention it, there hasn't been a cross-gen evolution since gen 4
What the fuck?

>Luvdisc will never evolve into Alomomola
>Farfetch'd will never not be the worse gen 1 Pokemon

At least Gamefreak broke the ''never touch the base stats for existing Pokemons'' taboo with Gen 6.

All that super effective shittershattering from cute lil pink pokemon

The better Pokemon in-game is always the one with the most attack.

Well, Sylveon, but that's mostly just because of the new type.

I really can't remember which ones gen 3 added besides babies.
What pokemon would be justified in 5/6 to have babies?
The only one I was going to say was Shuckle but gen 6 gave him a decent gimmick

Babies should be for Pokemon too powerful to be included early in the game, like say Magmar. Scyther, Pinsir and Heracross would be a great candidates for that.

>Magmar

babies also serve to expand a mon's moveset like Wobuffet also
>Magmar
Magby exists

>>Magmar
>Magby exists
That's why I mentioned him. He is a great example of why this mechanic works.

Well he would be if Gamefreak actually would put Magby anywhere near the beginning of their games, which they never seem to do.

does hitmonchan even have hands? how does he hold stuff when he isn't punching stuff?

DELETE THIS

In BW2 it shows up very early - pretty sure it's the first fire Poke you'd see if you chose Oshawott for a starter

Never found them to be particularly useful so I always just go for the coolest

Lee is probably the better fighter in the games, but holy shit Chan is stylish as fuck. In a world with monsters that breath fire and have psychic powers, this motherfucker uses his fists.

Neither

Hitmonlee is actually my all time favorite pokemon so him always.
