It's good that they adopt in the endings since, in Revelation in particular, Corrin having some kind of heir would be extremely important, though it makes you wonder why they couldn't just address it directly and bring back the village maiden or something for Kana/Nina.

Aw man, this definitely made the kids' existence in-story so much stronger and personable. The awkwardness of them being nearly the same age as their parents also gets mitigated by that, too. Hell, it even helps the gen1 of Awakening even more interesting since now they realize they have a future to work towards.

Fates kids are just weird in that they're almost the same age of their parents, their actual, biological, same-verse parents, and it's hard to suspend your disbelief when the parents act all parent-y and authoritative when they're basically the same age.

My favorite pairing for the best son. MaMorgan is great. Truly the definition of "he's a good kid".

I think parts of Fates are pretty good. The kids are a massive tumor, all around though. FE13 implemented them almost perfectly into the story, so the contrast is jarring. Most people think Fates did everything better than FE13 on almost everything else, though.

('m slightly biased to FE13 since my husbando is in it so I've thought about the characters and setting more fleshed out than I should've.

I'm biased towards 13 as well, not a single character has clicked with me the way Nowi did, and the absence is kind of jarring
